Oh, so then you were just full of shit when you claimed to be bitching to your Sgt about working holidays? You just figured it would make good fodder for arguing?

we rode over to best buys to see how bad it was and look at the tv sales....i don`t "need" one,but it was tempting....
they had a 55" samsung led with practically everything....internet capable/1080/(can`t remember whether it it 120 or 240 hz)....it was beautiful.....
$1500+ tv for $700 and change......if i had been there by myself,i would have bought it and hid it somewhere in the house(i`m still considering an interent purchase...the sale was ridiculous for a name brand...i could keep it in the apartment i`d be renting after the old lady threw me out)....)......
they really did have some great sales(even late in the day)...and the sales people were attentive(not sure whether they were working on some sort of commission or incentive)..........
wasn`t that crowded at 2:00 pm....

KMart had the best deal I saw yesterday with a 50 inch for $288 :scared :scared :scared

Not quite. I "claimed" to be bitching about it back 20 years ago when I was a young lil whippersnapper and didn't know any better. Since then, I have grown up enough to realized that one day of the year is no more special than any other day of the year.
And, in fact, I haven't been home for a thanksgiving in 19 years - because I've been working.
So spare me the river of tears on how much we all hate the big bad corporations for making people come in to work for a few hours on this "special day"
In fact, since Betone's son is salaried and in management, I'm willing to bet a dollar that his son volunteered to work those couple hours Thursday so that someone else could go sit on the couch at home and eat sweet potatoes.
