hmmm

i have a pick shaping up if Latvian Gasquet is able to come from behind and beat Andreev

James Blake over Gulbis

Gulbis has struggled, he's whacked James a few times in the past, so it's time for la venganza

the surface is good for blake :SIB

let's do it

Gasquet over Gonzalez looks good too. Gonzalez struggled with Hewitt and needed that respite to come back

PARLAY?? YEE YEE

Thursday

I've had a tough go of it thus far. Looking to get things turned around starting with today's plays.

Marion Bartoli -185 5 units(2.70) -- Safarova has not won a third round Grand Slam match since French Open 2007 and was handled rather easily by Bartoli in their last encounter, losing 6-0 6-3.

David Ferrer +140 2 units(2.8) -- Cilic has impressed, for sure, but has not fared well against top competition. Last season, he was just 2-6 against Top 10 players. Ferrer should be able to stay in this with his defense. He barely worked up a sweat agianst an exhausted Hrbaty and that should allow him to call upon the energy needed here in what should be at least a four set match.

Giles Muller +900 .5 unit(4.5) -- Del Potro should not be laying this number to anybody quite yet. He has seen a meteoric rise up the rankings over the last nine months, but Muller is no slouch. Muller outlasted Lopez in a marathon match and battled nerves against hometown favorite Tomic to win in four sets. The fatigue factor will be in play for both players as Del Potro has played fifteen sets of tennis in his last eight days. Small play.

Mardy Fish +145 2 units(2.9) -- Fish started the year slowly, with first round losses in each of the two lead-in tournaments. This prompted a few to question whether or not he spent more time in bed with his new bride than on the tennis courts. He has performed reasonably well here in his first two matches, especially behind his big first serve, winning 84% and 89% respectively. Baghdatis found himself down a set and two breaks before his comeback against Soderling and was able to battle back behind a loud and voracious crowd. If Mardy can get up early and help to neutralize the crowd, he has a great chance to progress to the next round. He mad a strong run to the QFs last year in New York, beating some good players in the process. Fish has a 7-3 career record here in Melbourne and I like for him to improve on that tonight.

Can't really blame Mardy for a little extra post time. He's clearly outpunting his coverage. Maybe he told her that his name is "Rafael Nadal."

Goodbye to Melbourne..A good start to the year, both capping and tennis-wise. Should be exciting finals on both ends.

Mens 15-8 (+12.41 units)
Ladies: 10-5 (+9.21 units)

Tournament: 25-13 (+21.62 units) :00hour

How quickly fortunes change. This was my record at Melbourne last year...
