Gasquet lost 63 63 67 26 1012
Bondarenko lost 67 46

GSTD: 9-15 (-13.99)

How many times has Gasquet choked away a two set lead in a Grand Slam? I can recall Wimbledon last year against Murray, I also remeber the year before he came back from two down against Roddick, but this one hurts. I mean, he had match point in the third set. What a choke job...

yup, i can't believe this shit AGAIN

he had the match comfortably in hand

i can't believe my stupidass bet on this dude again, at least i know how it is to piss away matches like Gasquet

i had him in Wimbledon up two sets and serving match point against murray, that stung like a bitch

i only had about 2.8 units on this one, but watching it, was like being roasted alive knowing the inevitable would rear its ugly head

Zheng has never beaten the Russian tank, in fact shes never won a set vs. her.

Good point IX. Although their last match (Beijing 2008, hard court) ended 76 75 in favor of the Russian. Zheng converted four of five break point opportunities in that match. Zheng has played brilliantly on her opponent's serve games this week, winning 18 of 33 return games. She has converted two-thirds of her break point chances (18/27) and should be able to pressure Kuznetsova in that phase of her game.

Kuznetsova did not serve well in the last round against Bondarenko and was bailed out by the amount of points she was able to win on her second serve, a luxury she will not be afforded by Zheng. Couple this with the fact that Kuznetsova has never been past the QF round here in Melbourne and I think this match has all the makings for an upset by the young Chinese woman.

line dropping on murray......gonna take a stab with verdasco myself. pinny is +540 ish, but you can still get +600 at betjam.

djokovic only -200 against roddick is a joke. makes me feel like somethings up. roddick hasn't won a big game in his lifetime save the us open eons ago. the best big game fade on tour

hopefully blake and nadal meet. that would be a great match. two guys who never give up......blake would be at least +500 for peanuts

go verdasco

Simon won 64 26 61 Ret'd
Kuznetsova won 41 Ret'd (Bet Voided) * My book voids a bet if two full sets have not been played

Early thoughts..

Serena vs Kuznetsova

Both women are in poor form right now, with each having more unforced errors than winners to this point, a stat I don't expect to change. Serena has looked sluggish in her movement and was actually being outhit by the young Russian Aazarenka. Kuznetsova has not fared well in the H2H with Williams holding a 5-1 edge, but a three-set match would not surprise me in the least. I think there is value in both OVER 21.5 games (-110) and Kuznetsova +1.5 sets (-120). Despite her poor play, Serena sees a berth in the semis with a win here and knows anything can happen when it is down to the final four.

Nadal vs Simon

Nadal has played up to his number one ranking thus far, having not dropped a single set. His winners to unforced errors ratio is off the charts (157/54) and he has broken his opponent's serve no less than six times in each of his four matches. His run here is reminiscent of last year in which he marched to the semis without dropping a set before bowing to Tsonga. The heat in Melbourne has been ridiculous and we have seen countless players affected already. Nadal is the fittest man on tour and should be able to better handle the conditions. I see a straight sets victory for Nadal.

Dementieva vs Suarez-Navarro

Elena has got to believe that this is her best shot at a Grand Slam title with the departure of many of the top players and Serena struggling. Couple that with her own form (14-match win streak) and you see a woman whose time may have finally come. This match is a total contrast to that of Williams/Kuznetsova in that both these girls are in top form and brimming with confidence. The fourth seed has not lost to a player ranked outside the top 25 since a surprising defeat to Arvidsson in January of 2008.
