Kuznetsova lost 75 57 16
Navarro lost 262 26

Will update record in a little bit..

Wednesday

Dementieva -135 3 units(2.2)

I like this play if, and only if, the match is played outdoors. I think Serena gains an incredible edge from playing inside. So, a play as of now, but wait and see on the conditions.

Zvonereva won all three matches against Safina last year, all three were played on hard courts, all three were straight-set affairs.

**Dementieva a play regardless of the roof**

Zvonereva & Safina OVER 21.5 games -110 2.2 units(2.0)

Federer & Roddick UNDER 36.5 games -110 2.2 units(2.0)

Nice calls, Wayne!

That under is a good proxy for heavy favorites. For some reason it seems like in years past breaks were more uncommon but now with guys like Nadal and Federer every single piont is contested and games/breaks don't mean as much. It's like they play until someone crumples and then its over, the losers just quits winning points let alone games.

Interested to see what you think the line would be for Nadal-Federer final.

Dementieva lost 36 46
Safina won 63 76!!!
Federer won 62 75 75!!!

GSTD: 16-18 (-1.96 units)

I think you would see a line that slightly favors Federer, maybe -130 for FED and +110 for Nadal. Nadal has been dominant and has proven he can beat Roger on any surface. Should be a great match.

Although I would be careful about writing off Verdasco just yet. The Aussie Open has a history of surprise finalists (Tsonga, Gonzalez, Baghdatis, Niemenen, etc) and Rafa showed he was human against Simon. He played well but Simon also played brilliant in the second and third sets. He however was not able to sustain it and close out the set when he had the break. Verdasco is in amazing form and is really playing aggressively. He has also gained alot of mental toughness which will serve him well against Nadal. This isn't as straight forward as some may think and might go 4 or 5 sets. Verdasco in this form is a danger to Nadal but I believe that Nadal can still prevail.

I have two horses in the finals with Federer @ +270 and Safina @ +900. I would have loved a Safina/Dementieva matchup but she has shown to be no better than a consistent semifinalist here at the Grand Slams. The price is always nice with her, but she has lost to both Williams sisters and Jankovic in her last three GS semifinals. Oh, well. I will probably sit out the rest of the tournament as I am happy to have just gotten back near even after a very dodgy week one. It was great to see so many people participatng in the discussions this year. Here is hoping that will continue. Good luck the rest of the way out and I'll see everybody again for the French...

OVER 35.5 GAMES -110 2.2 UNITS(2.0)

Verdasco has been serving consistently well during these championships - even Andy Murray, one of if not the best defender on tour - conceded there was little he could do.

"I had my chances,'' the world No. 4 said.

''He served incredibly well in the fourth and fifth sets and deserves credit for the win.

"I had chances to get back into the fourth set and go up (a service break) in the fifth set.

"But he served huge and sometimes you've just got to say too good."

He is using the swinger out wide to great effect dragging his opponent out of court and dominating the baseline rallies from then on in.

Even if he is to go down in three, I believe we won't see any set s with a 62 or 63 scoreline, more of the 76 or 75 variety.

sweet, back in the postive. that was a heck of a match last night.

i think safina wins outright and you collect the +900 (!). i'm thinking probably go with the games again, 5d has options up to 3.5 or 4. should be two great finals.
