Maeda is a very good fighter but I would never bet against Torres. I made a killing on his last fight because nobody seemed to know him, including the oddsmakers. The only fight he ever lost was due to poor cardio and he has never come into a fight with poor conditioning since.
Take this for what it's worth, I have read interviews with Stephan Bonnar and he says that Torres ties him in knots whenever he feels like it. Bonnar is a big boy with skill and he admits to getting owned on the ground by this 135 pounder.

If the fighter being mentioned as Alexandre Nogueira is "Pequeno" Nogueira, then we are in for a treat. This guy was the best in Shooto for years and is a master of the 10 finger Guillotine choke. To give you an idea of how good he is, he beat Rumani Sato in under 40 seconds.
He will give Pulver or Faber a run for their money.

I could never bet against Torres either.. hes as talented as they come.. and how about that record?? hes got a lot of fights (33-1 w/ 21 submissions :scared )

i hope the oddsmakers continue to underestimate him....

P.S. it is "Pequeno" that is on the card.. i have never seen him... i can only hope they put it on the broadcast. :SIB

"Pequeno" is super skilled. I have seen lots of his fights in shooto. I would bet him against Faber but he does have a glass jaw. If he gets hit, he can be KO'd but if he gets his fights to the ground, he runs amok. He is an awesome grappler.

He is one of those guys who could lose or win against ANYBODY at 145 on any given day.

I would wager him against Faber as the oddsmakers probably don't know him and would have Faber a strong favourite. To me it would be a fifty-fifty fight.

I remember watching Pequeno get hit with a great spinning back fist that knocked him out against Hideo Tokoro. He is a top level grappler but has two fights in 3 years so not very active

I'm excited for the Faber Pulver fight. Jens at 145 is a different fighter. I think there will be good odds on him because so many people still think of the bj fight. BJ would do the same damn thing to Faber if they fought. I'm not sure Pulver can win but I can guarantee he will put up a hell of a fight and we will get to see what kind of jaw Faber has. I like both fighters so I'm going to sit back and root for a war.

yep...can't wait for that Pulver fight...be very interesting to see the odds. But I gotta say I like Faber to pull off the upset win because of his punching power. Plus he has fought some of the top guys in MMA, you can't overlook that kind of experiance:SIB

It won't be an upset. I will be very surprised if Pulver is the favourite.

I'll take Faber by sub.

Good luck all.

:lol2

.... i thought that Crunk fight woulda been a good one.

Likely will make a big play on Torres unless odds r out of my league... Really like Chase Beebe and i think he comes back strong. Dont know anything about Jeff Curran's opponent, but Curran is not easy to beat... gonna try and find out more on some of these guys' opponents...

I'll be looking for the lines to Torres vs. Maeda and Brown vs. Curran.

Maeda has problems when the pressure is on and I expect he'll feel a great deal of it vs. Torres. Torres will win handily I think.

Brown is a better wrestler and Curran from what I've seen is overrated and has been the recipient of gift wins, for example, vs Fabiano and Carvalho. Those are some of his biggest wins. Curran's sub game does concern me somewhat, however.

I can only hope odds on Torres r at least decent...

What else do u know about Brown ?? I cant find any of his past fights and not even an official record ?? I doubt i'll make a play, but wtf..?? WEC doesnt even have any info on the guy....
