When baseball starts? End of April?
When NBA starts back? End of April?
I think NHL is done.
Golf? May?
The soccer leagues? I don't GAF
Schools starting again? 3 weeks?
Everything else that we are used to having that isn't available? 3-4 weeks?

Are you working from home? I always do. Nothing different.
Are you not working because of this shit? I'm not making money because of this shit.
Since schools are closed, how are you dealing with the kids at home? I don't have that problem anymore.
Are you just going on about business and life like nothing is happening? No. We take basic precautions and stay home for the most part.

I had plans for Vegas some time in March. That's dead.

I still have plans for Vegas in June but that's unlikely.

I'd like to do some traveling but I'm not going to get on a plane.

On the course!
The "experts" are saying this shit will PEAK in late April.

Then you have the wind down.

I know this.

March 6th, we had 300 cases.

Two days ago the US had 1600 confirmed cases.

By Monday, over 3000.

Above the Clouds....
I don't see sports starting up before the 1st of June.

Wife got a text today saying school is closed for the next 5 weeks here. She's retiring in June and I just work part time so I'm probably done too.

Stores aren't really crowded here. Stopped at the meat store today and cases were full. No real changes here.

Grandkids used to come here everyday but they're 13 now and can stay at home till parents get home. Granddaughter tested me and said we'll have to make some lunch dates. Lol.

I was thinking road trips too. Have to do a little research on places to visit.

71 in Oct.....I ain't doing much of anything...With COPD and a body that doesn't fight off jank now my ass is laying low outside of a few cuts.

Games will be back when it's safe....when is that?..When the smartest people on the planet about this give the ok.

Imagine that..Smart people making Smart decisions about what they are Smart about.

Schools closed here for a month. Tulane is doing on-line for the rest of the year. Students in the dorms have to be out (completely) by Monday or Tuesday, so I guess they are going home. Students not living on campus can stay put (since I guess they couldn't tell them what to do anyway). Read today somewhere there are about 77 cases in Louisiana, with a majority of them in the New Orleans area. One was a uber driver, who has since died, although it was reported he had underlying medical issues. I do uber/lyft gig myself so I'm thinking about cutting back or stopping completely for a while. In spite of everything plenty of tourists and locals partying as usual. But this is New Orleans, if we're 'going to go' we will do it partying.

And this is what will cause hundreds of thousands of people to be infected.

Selfish people saying, "fuck it". Then, they can shout how the government isn't doing enough.

So. Cal
I think a week from now will look drastically different from today.....which looks significantly different than a week ago when:

My conf in vegas starting tues was still on
Was watching Arizona vs uw and had tix to pac 10 tourney
Every entertainment venue you wanted to attend was open hospitals weren't stressed out
There was TP in stores and wasnt an hour line to get into Costco
Kids were planning on school projects 36 hours later

We're 1-2 weeks behind Europe...things will get worse; significantly.

As for sports....I cant see any of them starting before May....at the earliest.

Thanks for the input to this thread. Hopefully more people jump in and tell us what they honestly think.

I don't want to hear the politics, just personal feelings. Politics shit gets deleted.

This is like a serious, BAD, snowstorm, the worst ever. One that's going to shut things down for a couple MONTHS!

I remember sitting at Steve's watching the beginning of this and thinking, "what a bunch of bullshit".

Whoops!

I don't know anyone that has it, I don't know anyone that has a fever, and there are no reported cases in this city yet. I sort of feel like I have some common cold symptoms today. :scared

Maybe it's just in my head.
