^ About Spain, my thoughts exactly. Game play and opening tactics are clear (well, in spanish standards :SIB ) but reacting inside the match might be a problem. New coach is Fernando Hierro who hasn't any coaching experience but, i think, is respected veteran among players.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_Hierro

I was thinking as a WC-plan, that one of the bigs will lose first match and then play against them.
If Spain loses first match, they might be that team this year.

FRIDAY

I put Uruguay in last night at -160. Taking a bit of a gamble here as I think Egypt may keep Salah out of this one and focus on the two games they have the best chances to win. If that is announced this line will move. If not, I still like the price. Egypt is a team that has a tough time scoring with Salah, so without him they do not have much of an attack. I could be wrong, but if I were coaching, I would give Salah more time to rest and play against two teams you have a good chance of beating versus risking further injury against a tough defensive team you have little chance of beating.

Uruguay is often overlooked but they are loaded. They have Suarez and Cavani up front and are anchored by Godin and Gimenez in the back who both play for Atletico. This is a strong side and I expect them to win this game. They are the clear favorites to me in this group and I have also bet them +105 to win the group, which I think is a gift.

Without Salah this is a strong play for me. Even with him, I like it.

I just put this in DZ's thread, but I am eyeing this Tunisia/England line as England is getting way too much credit here. I will have more on this game later, but I am liking the fact that I can get Tunisia +1.5 right now as I expect this to go down as the game gets closer. It is juicy but I am taking some now and see how it moves.

I read that Tunisia is without its top 3 scorers in qualifying - all center forwards, they are playing with a wing player upfront. Not sure England will have to respect their attack to much.

Their best player was Msakni and he is out of the tournament. By far their best player. Tunisia can be a frustrating side as they can hold the ball and they are organized. The longer England goes without a goal in this game, the tougher it will get for them. If England scores early it could get ugly, but I see Tunisia playing strong defense and trying to keep the game 0-0 as long as they can.

For the record I didn't make all those prop bets. I was simply sharing my thoughts on many of them. Props are fun, but I prefer to simply bet the games and not have money tied up for weeks. I did bet some though particularly the last place bets.

I already bet Saudia Arabia +1.5. I still like them at +1 just not as much. I also am surprised this total is still at 2.5. I do not see 3 goals in this game so I like the Under (only at 2.5).

I really do not like this game that much. I simply think Russia is getting too much credit here since they are the home team. Small plays to start.

Well good thing you played small:SIB

The opening game did not go well for BASON:cry:

Nope, never thought it would be 5-0, not even on my best day, but I really did not like this game. Both teams are bad, but it was the opening game so had to do something. Glad it is over, now the tournament starts.

Tomorrow's bets will be significantly larger and hopefully yield much better results.

Already posted Uruguay and I am now am adding Morocco+125 as a second strong play. People will be all over the draw and the under in the Morocco game, but one thing I know is that Morocco is the better team. I am confident of this. They are an under the radar, but very talented team. Doesn't mean they will win, but they are the more talented team. Keep an eye on El Kaabi, a young and exciting striker. They have not lost a game in a long time and mostly against competition similar to Iran. Iran can not score. I can not get their loss to Tunisia out of my head as Morocco is better than Tunisia. If either team has any chance to advance they have to win this game. I think there is great value in this line as I love getting the better team at plus money.

I will have some more thoughts on the Spain game tomorrow morning. I already have an advance bet on the Un 2.5 so I am not sure if I will add anything else. For those that remember, I am not a big Portugal fan, so I will definitely not be on them. Spain or nothing else for me.

Saturday

Putting in the France Ov 2.5 now as this line continues to climb. This was one I liked all along but I have watched it move from -120 to -145. I put it in at -140. France should score 3 by themselves in this one and I think Australia will score. Strong play.

I will also be on the Argentina Over but that line has not moved so I will wait.

Wow! Uruguay does not play well at all for the entire game, but finally comes through. Really needed that one.

Will stick with my original Morocco play and not add. If they win, I do not add anything and take my profits. If they do not win, I will add a Spain to win bet as I think Portugal is a little too old and slow in the back for my taste.

Jesus, that was one horrible soccer match. Seriously, Morocco plays well for the first 10 minutes of the game and then suck the rest of the game. I would rather watch my 14 year old neighbor's travel team games than watch Iran play. Both of these teams looked really bad. I certainly expected much more from Morocco and got exactly what I thought from Iran. So far, I have not seen a good soccer match.

Hopefully, this changes with the next game. Adding Spain Ev.

I said he same thing Bason that was an awful match. Not because of the defense but touches were poor, crosses, switches just bad Soccer. My girls pass and possess better (against other Hs girls lol). I actually at one point wanted to fast forward to the end of the game

I have an advance bet on the Un 2.5 so just making an added bet on Spain. Had a lot on Uruguay so still have a little profit for the day but trying to get some momentum.

Nothing pisses me off more than bad goaltending. Everyone talking about how DeGea is the best goaltender in the tournament and the world, so of course he makes an inexcusable mistake that likely decides this game. Absolutely no excuse for play like that. Just hideous.

Well, at least we finally got to see a real game. Spain completely dominates play and Portugal once again pulls a result out of their ass. Seriously, they are one of the most fortunate teams I have ever seen. Unbelievable that they get a point in this game. Spain makes three horrible mistakes (DeGea and Pique have to be better) in this game that leads to 3 goals. Just amazing to me. I had no doubt that Ronaldo would score that last goal!

Oh well, we move on.

France Ov 2.5 already in rather large for early tomorrow morning.

Argentina Ov 2.5 -115. I loved the Iceland story in Euro, love the fact that they made it here and love their fans. However, I think they are in some trouble in this one. Their recent form has not been good and they have been bleeding goals. Can Argentina actually show up? I think they play well and we see some goals in this game. They have to wake up some time. We have the added benefit that Messi will be motivated by Ronaldo's hat trick. I know that may sound stupid but he always seems to play great after Ronaldo does in La Liga so I expect him to score a couple tomorrow.

The rest of tomorrow (and likely the rest of the tournament for me) will depend on these two games, especially the first one.
