Looks like we agree on everything tomorrow ( the draw in Peru would be my play also if I play that game as will Croatia, but have to see how the morning goes). Have a lot riding on this France over so it will determine how I bet the rest of the tournament.

France may have won this match, but they were bad in this game. Their midfield was terrible and I have no idea what Deschamps was doing with his substitutions. At some point Pogba needs to start living up to all the hype. As I have said before, this team continues to play down to the level of their competition. It will be their downfall in this tournament.

Huge win though as I had a lot riding on that one and even added to the second half (sorry, could not get it posted in time).

Expecting a big game from Messi in the next one.

Totally agree. Actually already looking at Frances lines next 2 games. I thought france was really poor. I think messi dominates (just posted prop that he scores) I?ll be shocked if Iceland holds down Argentina all game

Btw I love Kante and think he?s a fantastic player but he excels at the holding mid slowing the attack down and such. France was better and Australia is not super threatening where you need someone like Him so I?m not sure why they wouldn?t adjust and put someone more attacking in, thoughts?

That is exactly what I thought. Kante is better against more attacking teams as he is best on the defensive side. He is almost useless in a game like this. I do not like Tolisso for Bayern and I do not like him for France. I just do not like the way the midfield plays together. They have to pick up the pace so they can take advantage of their speed upfront. Not sure I see them putting it all together in this tournament. Amazing to me that they basically created nothing out of play in this game. I give Australia some credit, but France has to be better with all this talent.

I have serious reservations about Argentina but hoping they put it together today.

Yep! Been saying I?m not sold one bit on Argentina as I have Croatia winning the group but i just have a gut feeling they shine today. If they don?t I?ll get hammered on this game lol

The over is looking very good here so I am going to get a little greedy and take Argentina -1 in the second half. Should be a push at worst, but don't trust Argentina enough to lay -225

Thanks Messi. What a terrible PK. That miss could end up costing me a lot of money. Ironic, since I thought Messi would be great today. Still a ways to go, but Argentina does not look like the team I thought we would see today. This is the team that struggled to qualify.

Well that was a complete and utter kick in the balls. Can't get 1 goal in the second half. I just can not get any momentum. Argentina is exactly who I thought they were, just wishful thinking to believe they could turn it on. Messi was pedestrian and no one else could create real chances. I do not think this team has any chance to win this thing.

For the rest of the day, I am going to take it easy and play a couple action plays.

Peru Pk +130 - I lean to the draw here, but I am going to take Peru on the Pk line versus a Denmark team that I think is a tad overrated. I like this Peru team.

Croatia Ov 2 -135 - Just a feeling that Nigeria gets a goal in this one.

Getting ready for the German machine tomorrow. If they let me down I will be depressed. Will post that tonight, but anyone that follows me knows what I will be playing.

You know it is not your day when two missed penalties cost you big money (ended up with Peru +.5 when I went to bet it). Nothing is more aggravating.

Just has not been the start I wanted. Only thing saving me is that I did win my 2 largest bets. I know this does not help everyone else out there so I will do better.

People are doubting Germany as they have not looked good in any friendlies. The one thing I always admire about Germany is they always seem to turn it on when it counts. They did not lose a game in qualifying and they won the Confederation's Cup with their second team. This is what separates them from other teams like France and Argentina so far. While it is a possibility that they struggle with a Mexican team that can be very good and will play for a draw, I am going to bet that it does not happen. Germany just needs to get that first goal. Not going to mess around. I also like the Over in this game but I am laying the number with a big play and going to get everything back to even. If not, it will be a long, long road back, but this is how I play.

Germany -210

Worst start I have ever had to a tournament. Nothing else to say. Sorry boys.

Will keep playing but may stop posting for a couple days since I am definitely not in rhythm. I will be on Belgium tomorrow as I think Panama is absolutely terrible, so I guess that means Panama has a shot!!

Thanks Snafu, I hope so, today was a very bad day all around.

For what it is worth I also like Sweden tomorrow so they will probably draw also.

Crazy start, the only team that I have watched play that looked good at all was Spain and they couldn't win!! If this keeps up it will be a very interesting round of 16.

Been trying not to go off on VAR, but I simply do not understand how they are using it. It is baffling to me. If it is there, then use it. If you are not going to call a clear and obvious penalty in the box, then what the hell is the point. Like I always say, it changes the way the ref calls the game and the VAR refs are hesitant to change any calls. In my opinion, they do not have a clue how to use it. Also, like I said before, the worst officiated games have been from the rookies and refs that simply do not belong there. Overall, it has not been that bad, but it could be better.

Have to change how I am playing now given slow start. Starting to play FH draws in many games (especially when big favorites are not playing) and then making HT bets. Simply get much better prices given all the FH draws. I do not like playing this many games, but I need to change it up some.

This game has to open up some more since both teams have to win. While I am not very confident in Sweden's ability to score I think they are worth a shot in the second half at +140 based on the first half.

Have to take Belgium -1.5 -135.

I simply think Panama is terrible. They will bunker in and try to make this an ugly game. If Belgium can get a first goal in the FH, they should cover. Hopefully we see a strong team show up and win like they should.

Same old Belgium. Have to be one of most underperforming teams ever. Does't help that they have a horrible coach. Tempted to take Panama +1 in the second half simply to cut my exposure, but with the second half over set at 1.5 -135, I will sit back and hope that line is right as I do not see Panama scoring. Oh, and yet another FH draw (I am playing these til they stop).

The early SH goal was key. Still not playing that well, but doing what they have to against a greatly outmanned Panama team. Hopefully they keep playing the last 20 and not give them any chances. They should keep trying to score as goal difference will likely determine the winner of this group (of course they may be better off finishing second if Germany does not win the group). I expect one more.
