My brother lives in Green Bay. I visited him a few years back in late June. It never got above 65 degrees the whole time I was there. Here in Jaco we never had a high below 79 degrees in 2015. Not really sure what lobster costs here. I know friends that have had it here and say it's cheaper than in the US.

Milwaukee is a whole dif animal than Green Bay. We have 3 bad months here. Haven't used my snowblower more than once for years.. My snow tires dry rot. from not being used. I can bike or bus to a casino if i don't want to drive. Food options are as good as any where in the world... within 90 miles of my home they rival Las Vegas. I am blocks from Lake Michigan all summer long. No crime except for car break ins on occasion. I live next to 2 Detectives so there are police around all the time. And i am able to go any where i want on a moments notice. So werks for me. Every where i have ever been i have to give up a lot of things i want in my life so i gave up the idea of moving any where. Tthat's my story. Also we have traffic jams about 2 1/2 hrs a day but there are alt routes with no traffic if needed . Best in the United States i have found out. for a major city. Enjoy...... diff Strokes for Diff Folks..

Last thing .. The bus to the airport is a block from my house. so don't need a cab or any one else to get to the airport if i so chose..

So true ..but ya can't travel thru Mexico by car any more and you have to stick tp the heavy tourist areas now.

I hear people say this a lot but my brother and sister in law drive from DFW to their place in Mazatlan all the time. They use to just do it here and there so they would have a car down there but now they actually enjoy the trip and stops along the way. They just got back about a month and a half ago and when we talked I asked him about it and he said there has never been one time he's felt unsafe.

Glad to hear it.. But feeling safe and being safe are 2 dif things.. It only takes once......have not checked state dept warnings on Mazatlan lately. Mazatlan may be fine its the roads i wd worry about...The police are paid off so if ya get in a situation u are unarmed and up against automatic weapons and people that wd kidnap or take you out as fast as they swat a fly. Puerto Rico has a drug problem. Bbut the tourist areas have squads patrolling 24 hrs a day ya count a 15 u will see flashing blue lights in the distance. They run lights 24 hrs a day. Ya get caught with 4 pounds of any thing ur all done. No trials no arrests. I get a gun permit for $25. Never had an incident though. having spent a years worth of time there .

Ever hear of the SINALOA cartel.......Fine folks to meet at night !!!!!

Sinaloa: Mazatlan is a major city/travel destination in Sinaloa - Defer non-essential travel to the state of Sinaloa except the cities of Mazatlan, Los Mochis, and the Port of Topolobampo, where you should exercise caution. One of Mexico's most powerful criminal organizations is based in the state of Sinaloa, and violent crime rates remain high in many parts of the state. Travel in Mazatlan should be limited to Zona Dorada and the historic town center, as well as direct routes to and from these locations and the airport. Travel in Los Mochis and Topolobampo is restricted to the city and the port, as well as direct routes to/from these locations and the airport. Please see above for general conditions for travel in Mexico.

Living in San Diego me and the family drive down to Baja all the time with never any issues. I usually fly going in any where further South into Mexico but my brother and his family like to make the drive every 2-3 years or so to Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta and have never had any issues.

The thing about the cartels is they are never looking to start trouble with tourists. With all the money they already make they don't really need too. I think a lot of the negative hype is blown out of proportion by the media and rumors but the reality is you always have to be on your guard pretty much any where you are in this world.

Exactly, The best info you can get is from someone who has actually been there.

There is no nationwide advisory in effect for Puerto Rico. Exercise normal security precautions.

I rests my case......

Put me down as not a Disney person also. Took the kids twice. Over-priced. They loved it! My daughter tells me Sunday that next year she is taking my grand daughter to Disney. I told my wife we better start putting so much away a week now.
