The others i am semi confident on and Im flat betting the rest.. I have way too many plays though thats for sure.
Slu withdrew last week with a bad back and the added length here should cause him problems..

For long shots - I like Paul Casey and David Howell - Anyone have thoughts on those two guys?

David Howell has not rediscovered his game since his shoulder injury last year; I'd be very surprised if he had a third consecutive top-20 finish.

Looked very closely at Casey this week, but only in the 'w/o Woods' market. He is playing much better on the PGA Tour now, but he showed when leading the Arnold Palmer Invitational three weeks ago that he still doesn't have the psychological strength to hold off a strong field (best finish in Majors = 6th in the Masters three years ago, but shot 74 in the final round when 3rd overnight; only one top-10 finish in any Major ), so I doubt he would win this week, but he could finish 2nd. The odds weren't quite large enough in this market for me though.

Paul Casey has the perfect game for this course. He def has a shot. But he chokes on Sundays. I read that Gary Player told Ernie Els this is the best hes ever seen him hit the ball, and that this is by far the best chance hes ever had to win the masters.

I added a 2 unit bet on Els to finish in the top 10 at -135

I see they have the same prop again this yr that I won on last yr. Former winners -145 vs. 1st time winners. I get Tiger, Lefty and VJ and a handful of old guys against the field. I'm doing that again, I
have 3 of the top 4 on the outrights. Also looking at Pampling for a top 10 finish at good odds, 2 starts a T-5 and a T-16th. Tiger O/U for round 1 is 71.5, I might have to throw a little on him breaking par in round 1. Funk has never had a top 10 in 11 starts and has missed at least 4 cuts in a row. GL Toto

Pamplings putting has been awful and so has his play this year. I dont see much value in him honestly.

I added a little more on that amatuer to beat crenshaw after readin phils comments on him.

Redsfan--sorry for being late but been waiting to see conditions closer to tee time--

My Thoughts--

Couse was modified in 06 --with 155 yards added--trees added and fairways narrowed--per Hootie -in effort to keep players from hitting "damn pitching wedge" into every green.
Believe the trees added will be more penal than narrowed fairways as rough general not bad--as far as rain they had just a trace today but last rain of any measure was on 15th of march--about half inch--so conditions should be fast--however short knockers again will be penalized with lower temps--some of lowest in years. If no surprises (rain) should play tougher than last year as most especially leaders were benefited (some 27 holes) by rain that fell during Saturdays rd which was continued Sunday. Good luck
