I hate FH red cards, but at least we got the one in the FH. I do not feel great about the second, but Athens has to go for a second away goal. Hopefully it is al least 2-0 and you get the big bet. I also have the over 2 as I ended up betting both halves.

Can not believe how bad Kiev's defense is. They look completely lost in this game.

Vig, I think Burnley will be battling this year to stave off relegation and I definitely think Huddersfield is in deep trouble this year. I think Cardiff is definitely going right back down. They look bad. If I had to pick the three right now, I would go with Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield. Burnley, West Ham and Southhampton all look to have issues. As always the bottom will be interesting which is what makes these leagues so intriguing (and another reason I have issues with the MLS).

another EL-match that imo has at least decent potential to go over, even way over:

Gent (Bel) - Bordeaux (Fra)

Gent last three competitive home matches: eleven goals, goal diff 8-3 ( last six 14-8, 5/6 btts).
Bordeaux last three competitive away matches: eight goals, goal diff 5-3. (last six 9-7, 4/6 btts).

BTTS yes -110 x 2
O2? +129
O3? +290

Olympiakos -135 - This is where I played it as I had a feeling it would come down overnight. Always a chance of a 0-0 draw here, but I still like playing against Burnley.

Adding:

Zenit -1.5 +105 - Molde has played some weak teams and now goes against much better competition on the road. Zenit should win this by a couple. I also think there will be goals in this one.

Zenit is an early game, so if it hits, I will likely take a shot with Zorya +510 (already played +1) and maybe add to the +1 or Olympiakos.

Gotta have a little faith! It is a winner.

Werner is starting for Leipzig as well as about half the normal starting lineup. May be a stupid bet but I am putting a small amount on the +550. Just a feeling, so they probably get killed!

So much for Zorya, they just got a red card in the 20th minute. Was total BS by the way. Was a retaliation kick and of course he gets caught. And Burnley gets a penalty. Oh well.

Gent's goal finishing... :0002

3 meters from empty net and you almost miss whole end line... really ?

adding O1? +175

looks very much like 0-0

Yeah Kid, Zenit was a great second half play but it was very pricey. I played the over instead. Greeks were also a nice second half play for me so that ended up as a rather large play overall. Usually I will not double up, but Burnley got lucky with the penalty. Other than that, they were bad and never really in the game.

It was a good day overall. Got a little greedy adding Gent, but think I was dead on with Burnley and Leipzig analysis. Leipzig was a man up for 70 minutes and could not score, hell, probably would have hit the +550 without the red card, but that was a great +1 win.

Bundesliga up next!!

Bundesliga

Finally the opening weekend of the Bundesliga. Was delayed this year for some reason. Most think because they thought Germany would be in the WC final!!

Opening game once again features Bayern. Based on the history of this game there is really only two ways to play this, either Bayern or the over.

Bayern Ov 3.5 -115 - I prefer the over versus Bayern -2 in this one since Hoffenheim can score and Bayern's biggest weakness is their defense as the WC exposed. Last five home openers, 3-1, 6-0, 5-0, 2-1, 3-1, so only once did it not go over the 3.5. Hoffenheim struggles at Bayern, but so does everyone else, but they have managed to play them better recently. I expect a strong effort from them which should produce at least one goal and Bayern should get at least 3.

Gladbach Ov 2.5 -140 and FH Ov 1 -140- I played this yesterday as I know this line will go to 3. This should be the most entertaining game of the Bundesliga weekend. Gladbach just scored 11 in the Cup and Leverkusen scored 5. Of course that was against weak competition, but this should be a wide open game that produces at least 3 goals.

Berlin +105 - Now this one pains me. Nurnberg is my team and I am ecstatic that they are back once again in the Bundesliga. However, they have done very little so far to strengthen their team so I am a little disappointed. They just added a Japanese player that will definitely help but not sure he will be ready to play. As much as I want them to win, I do not trust them on the road to start so I will take the home team at + money.

Trying to limit the plays, but if you want more action, I also bet Bremen Ov 2.5 -130. I expect that line to move up to 3 also.

Premier League

I like just about every game in the Premier League which is usually not a great sign. I will post them as I play them. There are my two favorites:

Bournemouth Ov 2.5 -130 - My first thought was that I really like Bournemouth in a Pk at home as I really like the way they are playing. I also like the way Everton is playing as they have changed to a more attacking style. As such, I really like the over in this game. No need to pick a side. Should see 3 in this one.

Arsenal -1.5 -110 and FH -115- I have made my thoughts well known about Arsenal so far and I really have not changed my mind. I simply do not think they are a tier 1 team in the Premier League. However, they are still a good team and this is an absolute must win game. Not only do I think they need to win but they need to win convincingly. Fortunately they get a home game against West Ham this week. Should be just what the doctor ordered. West Ham is a complete mess in the back and I am expecting Arsenal to tear them apart. If they do not win, Emery might as well leave now. I think they come out of the gates swinging so I like the FH also. Will likely be on the over as well but will wait to see how that line moves.

Looking at a draw in the Leicester game as that one could be a stinker. Really want to bet on Huddersfield but have not pulled the trigger yet. They have not looked good at all, but Cardiff is terrible and will get relegated right back in my opinion. That said, it is a must win game for Huddersfield. If they can not beat Cardiff at home they will be going down also. Liverpool should crush B&H. Looking hard at Fulham and Watford on Sunday. Thoughts are welcome!

I may not make it to all the leagues this weekend. Lots of guest for the last two weekends of summer!!
