Last weekend we went an impressive 9-4 for the first 4 days and tonight rather than put out a few plays, we have narrowed it down to ONE ABSOLUTE WINNER! If your were asking us right now who the best team in the country is it would be tough to say between UNC and Louisville. The unfortunate thing here is that if they meet it will be 2 rounds before they should. Just by the line you can see that Louisville is more respected by the oddsmakers than Tennessee. There are a couple of reason for this, one is that Louisville has been rolling the past for more than a month and as 2 weeks ago they were a very possible number 1 seed, but losses to Georgetown and Pitt stalled those hopes. Meanwhile Tennessee, although with a signature win over Memphis they have been less than dominant in conference and during this tournament so they appear ripe to get beat. Louisville's defense has been awesome in their first 2 games and that defense will be the difference in what will be a fast paced game. The Cardinals have better interior players and if Smith shoots the ball well they could win this game big. We like Louisville to advance with a 80-68 win!

With each team having only eleven games left this game becomes a huge game for the winner as they have a leg up owning the tie-breaker in case they finish the regular season with identical records. It certainly wont hurt the Nuggets feelings any to see the team leader for Dallas Dirk Nowitzki sitting on the bench for this contest as he has scored 32 points per game and snatched 12 boards against the Nuggets this season. The Nuggets have been playing well of late and taking care of their backers as well, they have covered 10 of their last 12 games heading into tonight?s match up with Dallas. This series has been dominated against the spread lately by the host team as they have covered 8 of the last 9 series meetings. Another positive note for the Nuggets is the fact that Dallas has not defeated a team with a winning record since acquiring Jason Kidd. Comments: INDIAN COWBOY'S PLAY OF THE DAY: Mavs/Nuggets Under 217.5 (POD) This is my POD for today and frankly my only play as I am not fond of the college card although I do believe the college card holds value for Friday and this weekend and those selections are to come tomorrow afternoon and the weekend for the upcoming days. As per this play, if the Mavs are to be competitive in this game, they must play defense. They cannot allow 160+ as the Sonics did or 130+ points Memphis did. This play of course goes against the public grain who think by a margin of roughly 2:1 that this game will go over. However, keep in mind that this is the Mavs first game without Dirk on the road. On top of that, if they have any shot in this game, they must play defense which Avery will preach over and over again about getting back on defense. This team thus will focus on defense and will be hindered on offense on the road. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this game does not top 200 nevertheless 217.5 where this line stands now. Denver has scored over a 100 points in their last 10 ballgames, but, the Mavs have played the under in 4 of their last 5 ballgames. i havent posted those in the last few days since it can be a pain in the ass getting all that info then writing it up. sometimes iam just running in and out of the door and just cant do it plus it is only good if you are going against them since they have been getting crow-bared all year. if i get some time i will post their season long records for all those crazy clubs and levels but it will not be pretty. if you really need them i will try and get back into the swing of things in the next day or two

Denver Nuggets (-8)
With the playoffs on the line for both clubs late in the season this is a case of two teams that will be heading in opposite directions. Right now, the Mavericks hold a two game lead over the Nuggets but Dallas lost Dirk Nowitzki to injury in the Spurs game on Easter Sunday. In their very next game, others stepped up in the absence of Nowitzki. However, playing the Clippers, who were without the injured Chris Kaman, certainly helped the Mavericks and allowed for others to step up their game. Now, the Mavericks must deal with a red hot Denver team that wrapped up their road trip with three straight wins. The Nuggets are back home tonight where they've thrived and they're facing a Mavericks team that has been having a miserable time on the road recently. Also, the Mavs still have not beaten a team with a winning record since they acquired Jason Kidd from the Nets. That stat won't change here as the Nuggets win and they get the cover as Denver's offense has been amazing while the Mavericks offense, without Nowitzki, won't be able to keep up.
