Have Agent and Vinnie met? Both from the same City, just noticed this.

It's a joke. It's where Jack used to live. Neither of them live there. Hell, I went there once. Virtually nobody lives there.

On the course!
As an outsider watching this dog and pony show, I hear you saying you pulled the ol' "O-kee-doke" on old boy by stalling his payment to "get even". Okay.....let's say I can call that "fair play".

What gives with all the other excuses? Don't they take away from that excuse?

Maybe the $150 was spent growing alfalfa that was going to be shipped to some poor African nation

Nah, there arent any other "excuses". I said I would pay him and I didnt (for a while). I didnt pay him right away and I should have because it turned into this. He hasnt been an asshole at all (unlike the forum police), and he is the only one (maybe Jack) who has any reason to be. The rest of you are just all worked up because(fill in your own blank). Ive had issues with most of you in the past on here so Im not surprised. Hell the guy sent me 4 or 5 emails since I emailed him a couple weeks ago and told him I mailed his check, but I never check that Yahoo addy because its been through the old SPAM ringer and every time I open it there is like 2,000 emails.

My apologies to MJ and MC, sorry you had to come on here MC its obvious you tried to avoid it. Jack asked me to handle it once before and Im sorry I didnt do it then. I actually wrote the check, just never mailed it. :nono:

: HOWEVER MC, I mailed you a check 2 weeks ago when I said I did  I sent to the addy and name you gave me. Soooo, I have not been in my actual (not at home) office since Thursday of last week, maybe it was returned?? I can say the check ($150.00) was NOT cashed as of today when I looked at my online banking.
I will stop payment on the other check if it hasnt been returned to my office. Please let me know how you want me to handle it.

Chad,

No hard feelings on my side, it just was drawn out way too long and the excuses were getting old. I checked the emails that we traded and the address I gave you was the correct address and as of today nothing has arrived. I will send you an email to the msn account that Jack sent me with my address again, I told you dude that I did not want to have to make this public but you sort of tied my hands with the girlfriend and lost in the mail excuses.

Note the "once before" as in before I said I mailed it, he contacted Jack about his money. Jack asked me what was up and I said I didnt pay him originally because I was waiting, blah blah, but I would pay it right away because I didnt want Jack getting drug into it. I wrote the check, then sent MC an email because I didnt have his addy. 2 more weeks went by or so till he contacted Jack again and said WTF. That is when I DID mail it. Happy? If not suck it!

I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure that Jack stated his new(at that time) policy of no more unsanctioned contests. Then Agent begged for an exception and got it.

Unless MC is totally lying about everything, which I doubt, then this doesn't sound like a misunderstanding at all.

Agent will probably pay it now that it hit the forum, but that's pathetic.

yeah, we wouldnt want any contests on here where a book isnt getting their coffers lined by the minions on here, if a book isnt getting their palms greased then no contests allowed, gotta love the almighty dollar it speaks loudly and clearly

I dont think too many guys on here are real worried about $50-$100 put up for a fantasy pool. Its not a large amount of money. Believe it or not, some on here actually like each other and correspond outside of the forum. My not paying MC had zero to do with amounts or whatever, just a bunch of BS.

nysportsfan...

that post is uncalled for.....in the last few years there have been incidents where there were misunderstandings between posters over money. this has led to hard feelings among posters. i don't blame jack for taking this stand..he doesn't need the hassles.

It's not about the amount of money, I said the principle of trusting an annoymous internet poster with money is stupid imo, it's hard enough collecting money owed in real life for things let alone online, i'm sure many on here can attest to that
