That sucked. I think that going first absolutely killed Asia, nobody remembers who went first. I still have my shares of Ramiele at $7 left and I am thinking of selling to try and get what I can out of it and re-invest it in somebody else.
BDB, are you going to hang with your shares of her? I really cannot see her getting to the Top 4 or even Top 6. She is a robot up there and is living off of her looks.

been busy and utterly uninterested in idol this season. they can claim its their greatest, but imo, season 5 was by far the best. theres some good talent here, but not many "stars"
more beatles songs tonight.....i guess its better than dionne warwick night, but come on. this show would be ten million times better if they could sing whatever the fck they want.

I dont believe for a minute that tattoo skank was in the bottom 3. I think they are just trying to pimp people to vote for her.
The place I eat luch almost everyday has Musak or something over the soundsystem...every day I hear her singing "Alone" ...they are really pushing her..

The only real observations for me were that Archuleta was again terrific, and Brooke was awful. I did not like Carly's performance, and hated Mercado's overdone Yesterday.
Johns should not have tried to go over the top with 1.5 minutes of A Day in the Life. That is a tough song period, and although I give him credit for degree of difficulty, I think he is making it really tough on himself.

I dunno, BDB, I am enjoying this year more. I agree the theme thing is getting tired - but like this night, there are a lot of songs to pick from. I think this separates the troops a bit, people with a smart sense of themselves and what they can do with an arrangement. I did a little homework (bored a bit today) and came up with these possibles - from top Billboard Charts, and digging deeper on those that I couldn't match up at all. Of course, it would depend on what songs Idol has approval to do, too. How about these randome guesses/possibilities? See if I hit any.

It wasn't original. Seacrest said the name of the guy who did that version. He just copied it. Similar to Chris Daughtry covering the live version of Walk the Line by Johnny Cash that everyone thought was his original.
It was great though. Him and Michael Johns best of the night by a mile. Everyone else was just okay, or really bad.
I still think as I said a couple weeks ago that David Cook and Carly will be the final two with Carly winning.
