Ok....I might not mind if that Archuletta weasel got hit by a bus....

Yeah, how annoying was that. The more he smiled and laughed, the more I just wanted to punch him in the throat.

As for Noriega, I thought the girls were singing tomorrow.........:SIB

On a side note, Garrett Haley is from my hometown. I was hoping for a better performance but he might stick for a few weeks just because he was way less annoying than several others that didn't sing so well either.

Sun, disagree about danny noriega for now at least. He's really personable. My wife and all her friends loved him. He'll be hated by plenty, but he'll be loved by plenty more. If you voted for who should be kicked off, he'd be in trouble because he will annoy a lot of people. But its not set up that way and believe me when young kids, housewifes, and middle aged women will love him. He has a great voice too, just couldn't show it tonight. You'll be loving to hate him for a while. He probably won't win, but he's gonna be around a while. I think he's hilarious. He's in zero danger of going home before the top 12 so I can re-assess then.

The 60's had tons of good music. The only problem was that none of it was sung tonight. For a supposed talent filled group of guys as a collective whole they all sucked.

I hated everyone except that kid with dreadlocks. That was the first time I really heard him. And I liked the Michael Lee guy as well, but Bohemian Rhapsody was much better.

David Archuletta got his dick sucked by the judges tonight. He was bad. He's not bad, but tonight was bad, but the judges obviously want him to go far. I even own shares of him, but thought he was terrible. Doesn't matter, he's not going anywhere.

None of my male futures are in any danger this week at least.

Hopefully some kicked off and last longer wagers will be available tomorrow.

Garret Haley is for sure going home. What's with the mustache?

Jacuzzi can take a flight home too for all I care, but demographic wise hes not going home yet if you catch my drift.

Jason Yager...BLUE MOON? How ****ing stupid of a song is that. If I had to guess its' between him and Colton Berry to leave on Thursday with Garet Haley

go Asia Epperson

Has anyone ever seen Garrett and Leif Garrett in the same place? Man he was brutal....if you are 17 and sing Neil Sedaka an automatic DQ.

Didnt somebody say it was all about the men...these guys are just brutal....

My wife loves gay boys and even she hates him. She said if she could vote against a contestant she would be dialing away. But yeash he will be around for awhile. Maybe he and Sanjaya can do a duet and go out trolling for trannys

I thought Jason Castro had the best performance tonight........I agree with everything you said and its a little eery that I'm dissecting Idol.......

Archuletta was bad tonight and its only a matter of time until that laughing and "oh my god, I dont know how good I am" act is going to wear thin with Simon and the voters.......but the girls i talked to love the kid

I liked Noriega....hes got the gay swagger in full effect(no i'm not Fing gay), hes personable and seems witty with a great voice

Yeager will be on his way out, not sure about the other one

Menard was bad, seems to only sing in one note, hes got the looks working for him, but we don't know shit about him since he was barely on before, he could be out.....

Robbie Carrico could be a wild card in this, he appears to have that rockers edge but he can sing, it'll be interesting on how that plays out and which way he goes with it

Always a lot of negativity toward the guys here, but I thought at least 3 of them showed enough to be considered an Idol - at least personally. I think Jason Castro was really good, and cemented his place moving forward - very natural and a clear talent. I liked Robbie Carrico's song a lot, and if he can swing back and forth between rock and pop, should be one to be around for a long time. A good enough singer to get the Daughtery crowd on board. And I thought Michael Johns did a very polished performance again, although it was not that vocally original.

Not much else really resonated with me, but I think those three are tough competitors. I have a really tough time with Noriega, and Colton Berry should be punched in his sappy smiling face for his rendition of Elvis' Suspicious Minds...there's nothing happy or up about that song, and he just totally missed what made Elvis and that song special.

Carry on - looking forward to the wardrobe choices this evening...:00hour

February 20, 2008 Episode

By Marcus

With a few exceptions, last night?s men performances were forgettable. Let us hope that tonight the women make up for it. We must remember that the entire purpose of this program and of its massive promotion is to find a superstar. Not just someone who stands out in the local choir or bar, or played a lead in a high school or community musical. No. This is the search for stardom.

First up was horse trainer Kristy Lee Cook who actually sold her barrel horse to raise money for the flight to the American Idol audition in Philadelphia. Tonight she sang ?Rescue Me? with minimal enthusiasm. That?s too bad because she is a physically attractive woman who has some talent. But overall, her performance was simply, one big yawn.

Next we had plus size model Joanne Borgella singing ?I Say A Little Prayer.? She was a powerhouse during Hollywood Week but totally fizzled tonight. Again, it was just a simple nice but not outstanding performance. Her voice even crackled during the first half and the second half of her song was just ?okay.?

After those first two boring singers, up popped birthday girl Alaina Whitaker. She

turns 17 on the 21st and she gave us a delightful birthday present. It was a great version of ?I Love You More Than Yesterday.? She has cuteness, energy, presence, and exciting vocals. She will be a major contender for the Idol crown.

Rocker chick Amanda Overmyer survived a crash into an 18-wheeler. Tonight we survived her gravelly heavy metal piece with almost incoherent vocals. But man, her guitar player was playing hot.

Trade show model and graduate student Amy Davis needed to make a better effort with her version of ?Where The Boys Are? to really stand out. Don?t get me wrong, because she sang it well. But just well, rather than extraordinary.

With her turquoise blue eyes, nanny Brooke White wobbled through ?So Happy Together.? Again, it was okay but not remarkable.

After a dry spell of singers, we finally witnessed a real performer in the person of Alexandrea Lushington. She has stage command, audience eye contact and thoroughly entertained us with ?Spinning Wheels.? She is another contender to be watched.

Recording studio assistant Kady Malloy told us that she is overly obsessed with music. Her version of ?Groovy Kind Of Love? was gentle and a little placid. She really needs to let herself go and sparkle; otherwise, she will just be another forgotten singer.

Atlanta waitress Asia?h Epperson fried the bacon with a sizzling ?Hold On.? She will be back next week, and the week after, and the week after that. She has that natural stage ease that cannot be learned.

Petite Ramiele Malubay has a powerful full-range voice. She does need help with stage choreography and wardrobe, but needs no help whatsoever with her singing. I think that the early money will be on this woman to place in top four.

I think that we have found our ?it? girl, Syesha Mercado. A working actress with music in her soul, she held our attention from intro to ending note with ?Tobacco Road.? When you hear her and see her perform, you just want more of her. And that wanting is the elusive ?it? of stardom. She is definitely a serious contender for this season?s winner.

The last woman to sing was tattoo shop owner Carly Smithson singing ?The Shadow Of Your Smile.? It was a good vocal but not brilliant and I doubt people will be talking about it tomorrow. Especially when compared to some of the above singers who knocked us away with their singing.

What can we say about tonight? We can positively state there are some extremely talented women singers and this competition will only get more interesting.

And don?t forget to return right here tomorrow evening to learn who gets the boot to their Hollywood dreams.

Just like with the American Idol 7 top twelve boys performance show, Ryan Seacrest wasted no time building up the hype. Seacrest said, ?The level of talent is higher. The sense of competition is stronger.? Seacrest also indirectly addressed the rumors circulating over Carly Smithson?s absence from the boys performance show. Seacrest revealed that some of the top twenty-four contestants had been hit hard by the flu bug.

Kristy Lee Cook sang ?Rescue Me.? Randy Jackson said, ?It wasn?t your best performance.? Paula Abdul said, ?Being sick, being the first one, that?s a double whammy, but having said that, don?t let that ever get in the way of your shine and your performance and what you emote.? Simon Cowell said, ?The song didn?t suit you. It?s a song really designed for someone who is going to belt out a song. I thought your performance was robotic.?

Joanne Borgella sang ?I Say A Little Prayer.? Randy Jackson said, ?It felt like your voice was just a little shaky.? Paula Abdul said, ?I liked it, I didn?t love it.? Simon Cowell said, ?What you just did there was a very average cabaret version of a cabaret song.?

Alaina Whitaker sang ?I Love You Today More Than Yesterday.? Randy Jackson said, ?Season seven is turning out to be the year of the young ones, man.? Paula Abdul said, ?You had the best ending that I?ve heard on that song.? Simon Cowell said, ?If you can make a song as awful as that song ok, then when you?ve got a decent song you?re going to be great.?

Amanda Overmyer sang ?Baby, Please Don?t Go.? Randy Jackson said, ?I loved that, man.? Paula Abdul said, ?Amanda, I just love everything that you do.? Simon Cowell said, ?I think that was a little bit all over the place at times.?

Amy Davis sang ?Where The Boys Are.? Randy Jackson said, ?There were just a lot of pitch problems there.? Paula Abdul said, ?I don?t know if it was the most engaging song for you to sing.? Simon Cowell said, ?You look great, but you didn?t sound great.?

Brooke White sang ?So Happy Together.? Randy Jackson said, ?The front part of the song wasn?t good, but the back part you started getting your slaying on.? Paula Abdul said, ?What this competition is about is originality, and that?s what I love about you.? Simon Cowell said, ?It was very you, but I?m just struggling a little bit with the relevance.?

Alexandrea Lushington sang ?Spinning Wheel.? Randy Jackson said, ?You blew the doors off that.? Paula Abdul said, ?I saw more confidence in your performance than any performance tonight so far.? Simon Cowell said, ?It reminded me of some terrible sixties musical. I didn?t think the vocals were great.?

Kady Malloy sang ?A Groovy Kind Of Love.? Randy Jackson said, ?Never quite really got there for me.? Paula Abdul said, ?I want to see the life of you more.? Simon Cowell said, ?That was like ?Night Of The Living Dead.??

Asia?h Epperson sang ?Piece Of My Heart.? Randy Jackson said, ?I was impressed.? Paula Abdul said, ?You had some really good moments in that song.? Simon Cowell said, ?For me, it was my favorite of the night.?

Ramiele Malubay sang ?You Don?t Have To Say You Love Me.? Randy Jackson said, ?Very classy, almost like a pro.? Paula Abdul said, ?You?re a force to be reckoned with.? Simon Cowell said, ?Tonight, you out sung every single person.?

Syesha Mercado sang ?Tobacco Road.? Randy Jackson said, ?You definitely, definitely can sing.? Paula Abdul said, ?Syesha, way to go.? Simon Cowell said, ?You are probably one of the most talented girls in this competition.?

Carly Smithson sang ?The Shadow Of Your Smile.? Randy Jackson said, ?The best vocal of the top twenty-four, right there.? Paula Abdul said, ?You are Simon Cowell said, ?I thought the song was way to old-fashioned for you. Everything about it to me was a letdown.?

Despite Seacrest?s hype, the American Idol 7 top twenty-four have yet to earn their title as best ever. However, there were more standout performances among the top twelve girls than among the top twelve boys. Quite an accomplishment considering that some of the girls were sick with the flu.

Despite all the controversy surrounding Carly Smithson, she is one of the best singers in the competition. Asia?h Epperson, Ramiele Malubay, Syesha Mercado, Alaina Whitaker, Amanda Overmyer, Brooke White, and Alexandrea Lushington also likely sang their way to safety.

Who will be the first two girls sent home from American Idol 7? Kady Malloy, Amy Davis, Joanne Borgella, and Kristy Lee Cook are probably most at risk to be voted off. The American Idol results show airs on Thursday, February 21 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET on FOX.

this carly chick....geez, could they suck her dick since it looks like she has one any more. She was terrible. She has no chance to win no matter how much they try and pimp her up. Shes ugly, average voice and cannot pick a good song.....terrible terrible song.

theres only three girls, maybe 4 that have a real chance of winning.

asia....i'm biased, but i love that raspy voice and shes hot and i own her

syesha.....she won't win...see tamyra gray a few seasons back. really great singer, but not much star power. probably the best of the night.

rumela? phillipino girl. big voice...cute as button. needs someone to dress her and she'll be fine. wish i owned some of her.

that 17 year old alaina was okay, but i'll reserve later judgement with her.

and who the fck is picking these people songs. if you sing moon river, blue moon, or any other song with a moon in it you should be sent packing immediately.

the rest are just wastes of space including that carly chick. her price dropped to much to short her and get much of a return but shes worthless.

i'm happy with how tonight went.

i would guess amy davis and joanne the plus size model get the boot without doing much research....

Pretty much agree with your take on the females, BDB. Not as negative on Carly, I think she sang that song pretty well, and has pipes, but too much buzz, and not hot.

My favorite is Ramiele Malubay, she is a great package. I also like Epperson, but think she is a little over the top with her personality, and think her voice will be less than some in the long run.

I am infatuated with Kady Malloy, interested to see if she can hold up - very hot and a good voice. You could tell last night that she is not used to hearing criticism in her sheltered life...and her dad looked like he was going to go after Simon...:mj07:

Definitely some that should go already. Borgella was bad, and I think she might be gone.
