I definitely agree, but Georgia's offense is absolutely horrendous. They can not throw a pass over 5 yards. Daniels looks like an old man back there with no arm. Their offensive game plan was about as bad as I have ever seen. Almost as bad as Wisconsin's high school offense.

LSU was just a bad first week call. Put too much faith in the coaching staff. Did not see as much improvement as I expected especially on the defensive side and their QB lacks the arm strength to be elite. Have to give UCLA credit especially on defense. They may be the class of the Pac 10. Still a decent first week. I wrote down 6 games I liked and went 5-1, unfortunately I posted the loser (also unfortunately this happens a lot as I do not like to post too many plays. I try to narrow then down to the ones I like the most).

Very happy to see Maryland get the W. Little Tua looked much better and made very few mistakes. As I said, MD has elite NFL prospect WRs, so if they can get the running game going they will be a difficult out for anyone. They have a real chance to start out 4-0 before Iowa comes to town.

I should have posted Penn State despite my dislike of them. Wisconsin's offensive coordinator should be fired. They look like an average high school team. Never seen a team that is so predictable. You have to be able to throw the ball downfield to win football games and they simply can not do it. Also, their safety, number 9, needs to learn how to play the position. He may have single handily lost them the game. Their OL is not as strong as in the past so they are going to struggle on offense all year.

The Alabama defense is for real and they look to be the best all around team in the country. Like I said, I will be at the casino first thing on Tuesday to lay cash on them to win it all (I do not like using availability on online accounts for futures so I usually place them at the sports book even though I may not get the best number, but I prefer to lay out the cash). I expect the offense only to get better and I did not see any other team with that kind of balance on both sides of the ball.

Oklahoma is the same old Oklahoma. Over rated every year, and like every year, I hope they are in the playoff because they are always a great play against. I think the so called experts like Todd McShay are dead wrong on Spencer Rattler. No way he is the #1 pick in the draft.

UCLA put on a great showing, but the rest of the Pac-10 was putrid. Same for the ACC.

My Navy boys are in some trouble this year also. I was not expecting much, but they did not look good at all.

I have a small lean towards Florida State +7.5 tonight but don't like it enough to post. Just way too many variables for both teams but I do not think ND should be more than a TD favorite.

First play in for next week:

Iowa +4.5 -118

I jumped on this as soon as I saw the lines. I may be overreacting a little bit to last week, but I like getting these points in a big rivalry game with two good teams. More on this later but wanted to post as I played.

Looking at Rutgers and Air Force also. Pitt has me intrigued.

I put this in early this morning (the line may have inched up in places, but I like to post where I played):

Liberty/Troy Ov 60 -114

No big write-up for this one, I just expect a lot of points.

Should have played Pitt early, but I will keep an eye on the line. As I mentioned before TN is a play against team for me this year.

I tied a 10 point teaser together for anyone that is interested in them: Iowa +14.5/Wash+16.5/Liberty Ov 50.5/UVA Ev/Buffalo +23.5/Force +4.5

I do not think Nebraska should be 2 touchdown favorites over anyone that can play at all. I need to do some more research on Buffalo, but they may be a play. Illinois showed their true colors last week which shows how bad Nebraska is also. Washington is a little too popular a play right now, but they will hang with Michigan.

Should have waited on Iowa line but that is how is goes sometimes.

I added this two team 6-point teaser today:

Miami -2/Utah -1

Miami got pummeled but they are not a terrible team. I fully expect them to bounce back and win this game as they are the better team. I like this Utah team. They are experienced with a decent transfer QB in Brewer. BYU did not look that great last week and have a couple of key injuries also.

I tend to use teasers in NCAAF when I do not love the card. I still like the games, but I like the extra comfort buying the points down and it has worked for me in the past.

I am off of Buffalo, just too many question marks for them. Trying to talk myself out of UAB getting all those points. Based on what I saw from the GA offense last week I think they will have a hard time scoring 24 points. I realize Clemson has a good defense but UAB can also play some D. Still like Pitt just waiting to see if the line drops any further. Its a weak card so may not have much more.

Final play (I think):

Pitt -2.5 -127

They are the better team and I liked this game from the start. The TN QB struggled against Bowling Green which is one of the worst teams in all of college football. They were only winning that game 14-6 at the half. I said it from the start that TN is going to struggle this year given all the players they lost and adjusting to a new coaching staff. Heupel will force his style of play no matter what personnel he has and this will likely not work out well this year, especially with an inaccurate QB. I think Pitt will shut them down on offense and play conservatively on offense to grind out a win on the road.

I think they will pull it out, but I do not like the way the Liberty game is going.

Really need Washington now for a very large parlay!!

Just some bad later calls. I wrote 4 plays down last Sunday when the lines came out and all 4 were winners. Should have just stuck with them. That is why I like to play early and be done. Had too much time to think. Should have been better.

Nothing played yet, but I am focused on Va Tech, Cincy and have to look hard at Michigan State. Clemson FH will likely be a play once I can get a line. Will also have a MD write-up for this week. Did not see a need last week against Howard.

Big game for Maryland. Schedule get a lot tougher after this week.
Hope their team total is under 34. Like the over.

First play is in:

Clemson FH -16.5 -125

52-7
28-0
28-7
21-3
23-0
33-10

These are the scores of the last 6 first halves between these two teams. I see no reason why this will be different this year. Clemson has always been a strong FH team and play so I expect to see them start beating up on the weak teams in the ACC and it starts with Georgia Tech who lost their opener to Northern Illinois.

Second play:

Cincy -3 -129

Was waiting to see if this dropped off of 3.5 but I see it even moving to 4 in some places. I like betting this Cincy team because I like their defense. Indiana came into this season overrated and they proved it in week 1. Their QBs are struggling and Cincy has great defensive backs. I simply think Cincinnati is the better team and I like the matchup. I also like the fact that this is a game where Cincinnati needs to impress.

I keep looking at Penn State and watching the line come down. I hate betting on them but may have to do it again.

Play number 3 in as I finally got the line I wanted:

WVU -2.5 -108

I completely flip flopped on this game. Va Tech caught my eye as soon as the lines came out, but after digging into the game, my money is on West Virginia. The line is skewed by Va Tech's win over UNC and West Va's loss to Maryland. If you look at the UNC game, Va Tech really did not do much at all on offense in the game (169 passing and 127 rushing) and UNC was just bad in a tough environment. I still think West Virginia's defense is strong especially against a team that struggles to move the ball. MD is better on offense than most people think. They have a good QB, 2 NFL type WRs, a TE that likely will play on Sundays and an improving OL, so I was not surprised they had some big plays and moved the ball against West Va. The Mountaineers struggle on offense because they have a bad QB and they lost to MD because they turned the ball over. I think it will be a different story at home in a stadium just as tough to win in as Blacksburg. I expect their defense to contain Va Tech and their offense to do enough to win by a td+.
