Total BS in Oklahoma game. Once a play has been reviewed you can not challenge the play. So they break their own rules because they do not know what the hell they are doing. But of course its their highest rated team so the break has to go their way.

Doesn't matter because the K State coach is an idiot. You do not go for it on 4 and 13 from your own 50 down 10 with 13 minutes to play. Just moronic.

Nice lucky win by K State, but I will take it. I continue to believe Oklahoma is a vastly overrated team.

Mizzu call was just shit handicapping on my part so nothing else I can say. Still on a nice run.

What a horrible loss by Oregon. Have no idea what their defensive coaches were doing. Stanford ran the same slant all game long.

I must just be getting old because each week I am amazed by some of the coaching decisions I see.

This looks to be a light week for me. Looking at a few including the following:

Va Tech +1.5
Illinois +8.5
and of course TX +3.5

Cincy is likely in a let down spot so 28.5 seems like too many points. Iowa/Penn State is an intriguing game but looks unbetable to me. MD game is Ohio State or nothing and line has already jumped to 21.

First plays are in:

Tx +4.5 -126

Va Tech Pk -108

I have made my thoughts clear on Oklahoma and I will continue to play against them. I think the oddsmakers caught up with them a little this week, but I still think TX is the better team. Having said that, I like getting the original line of +4.5 and do not mind paying for it.

I am not impressed with Notre Dame at all. Their wins are really not that impressive given how the other teams have played and I think they have a few more losses on their schedule. Their offense is not very good at all and there is no tougher place to play than Blacksburg at night (one of my favorite places to see a game). That place will be nuts Saturday night and I think Va Tech takes this game.

May have one or two more plays, but not going to force anything. I keep looking at Alabama given how bad A&M has looked. Wisconsin is now -10 and I am not sure they should be favored by this over anyone right now.

I added this:

Navy +14.5 -120

I have laid off Navy games this year because I knew they would struggle on offense, but they appear to have gotten better. This game is always close with the home team winning most of the time and SMU always struggles with Navy's offense. I feel good about Navy keeping this close.

Well, my picks got banged up just like me this weekend (had a little accident that has sidelined me for a little while). I think it was my first losing week this year, and to be honest, I still like TX and VA Tech. TX was a train wreck in the second half and Sark just could not get out of his own way. He has maybe the best RB in the sport and he barely uses him in the second half and his defense was pathetic. Not sure if TX has finally found a coach. Missed all the Va Tech game, but finally watched it on tape and not sure how they blew that one but it is a game they definitely should have won in my opinion. Oh well, you are always going to have weeks like this but it was not that bad as the Midshipmen came through for us.

Going to be slow to get picks out this week, but here are a few that caught my eye and I will look into:

Navy +10.5
San Jose +8.5
Mich State -4.5
Ok State +5.5

Thanks guys! Slow and painful, but I will be fine.

I put this in this morning:

Michigan State -4 -122

This line just looks off to me so I was hesitant to bet it, but everyday I look at this game I simply see Michigan State as the better team. I said from the start that Indiana was an overrated team and they have proved me right. Now, Michigan State has not really played anyone yet, but all they do is keep winning. They have a week off before the Michigan game so I think they are focused for this game. I love a team that can run the ball and State averages over 217 per game while Indiana averages 122 with an ineffective QB. I assume the line is so light because Indiana's bad losses were to Iowa and Penn State, but not sure that means Indiana is better than their 2-3 record. Everyone is waiting for State to falter, but I do not think it happens this week.

I am close to putting in the Under 83 in the Ole Mis/TN game, but have not been able to do it yet. You almost need a perfect offensive game to get over that total and Ole Miss is a lot better than Missouri and South Carolina.

Bacon,

I respect your capping abilities, but have to disagree 100 percent on the under in the Ole miss game. Tennessee plays at break neck speed, and no one has stopped them yet except for Florida. Ole miss just gave up 51 points, and I think Tennessee gets into the 40s easy. On the flip side, Ole miss will put up into 40s as well. Just imo. Good luck whatever u do. No disrespect meant.

I like Bacon!!

No offense at all. Love to hear respectful contrarian opinions. I have not pulled the trigger for that reason but that is a lot of points and I am still not sold that TN is that good. They have Ole MS, Alabama, KY and GA in the the next 4 games so we will find out. I will probably lay off and see what it looks like at half time. I have seen enough from Ole MS to know what to expect but still have questions about TN.

Understand that. I don't think Tennessee is necessarily good, but have watched them enough to know they will score on just about anyone. Definitely an Ole miss d that is not that good. I am definitely going to put a lot on Tennessee tt over 37.5. Thanks.

Hiya, BASON

Hiya, BASON

You may not remember me but I remember U.
This isn't the first time I visited you and this is what I wrote in a post I made yesterday why I do....

>"I use a spreadsheet that took me many years to complete before it started to work and I also crunch nos. with a calculator doing stats. The reason I log in here is to read posts by some of the "Jackers" who follow the players closely and teams. I study nos. and they study the teams and players much closer than I do. I do watch the games though'.

You really fill in the information that I lack and I find it to be very helpful. Thanks for the nice work you put into this place.

I normally don't like to butt into peoples threads but I see the discussion is about TENN. and that is a team that I've watched over the years and I got them labeled as continual UNDER ACHIEVERS just about EVERY year; that is, they get HUGE attention for top notch ratings from the insiders, cappers, sports news, etc. in the PRE-SEASON and stink up the field when "the bell" rings (season starts). Year after year!

I cannot believe what I'm seeing this year- they put up 107 pts, vs.two better than decent teams, S. Car. and Mizz. I believe that 80% of their starters are the same from last season when they went 3 and 7; typical for them. I skip over every game they are in.

Keep up the good work.

Sure I remember and thanks for the comments.

I love to watch the games. I try to watch as many as I can as I think there is no substitute for it because the final score does not always tell the story of the game. That is the beauty of college football.

I have to admit my take on TN from the onset of this season has not been on point. I targeted them as a play against team but they have performed well. The back up QB has really stepped up and has made a difference. However, I still believe Heupel's style of play against strong teams will hurt them (like MS St last year). I also believe SC and Mizzu are not very good. Should be an entertaining game this week.

I also do not mind people coming in to discuss at all, so please feel free. As long as it is positive I think it can only help and that is what we are here to do.

I just put this one in:

BC +3.5 -127

I like this BC team. They can run the ball and play good defense especially on 3rd down and in the red zone. NC State has only played one road game and they were terrible against MS State. Not sure why they are favored in this game other than they fact that they beat Clemson at home. BC on the other hand lost to Clemson, but it was on the road and they gave them all they could handle. I will gladly take the points but I think BC takes this game at home.

I do not post a lot of teasers in college but I do play a lot of them with a lot of success. We can debate the use of them for days but I find them to be a very useful tool to make money. Since I do not have many straight plays this week I will share one that I put in today:

Tx A&M +1
Florida -2
BYU +16
Ok State +14.5
UVA -.5

5 team 10 pointer to pay +180. Chance of an A&M let down but Mizzu is bad. LSU is falling apart. BYU great road dog. Don't trust TX. Duke not very good.
