Considering Skelton is a dead body these days I am pretty sure Pulev's broad doesn't have to worry about him :142smilie Plus he is taking this fight on like 10 days notice , this wont end well for the old man .

Battle of the gatekeepers

When Jesse Brinkley (34-5, 22 KOs) and Curtis Stevens (21-2, 15 KOs) meet on Friday night in their super middleweight battle at the Grand Casino Resort in Reno, both fighters know that they are the ?gatekeeper? to their opponents? future.
http://www.fightnews.com/?p=36162

Wonder how Stevens and Brinkley feel about the author of this preview saying they know they are "gatekeepers"!
:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

OK buddy. Say it to the fighters faces.

Chambers-Wladamir officially signed.

OK Eddie, get those Victor Conte pills ready and start training today. This is your one chance at the heavyweight title. Wlad's legs will be week from all the banging with that little blonde.

This is Helenius?
I've never seen him fight, but this picture doesn't give me a lot of confidence in him.

Brewster seems to also be hiding a gut under that shirt.

He is crap , I've watched his fight against Bidenko and he didn't impress at all . If Brewster who kicked Wladimir's ass shows up he is going to kill him .
Brewster's loss to Gbenga Oloukun worries me tho but Helenius could be in for a rude awakening if Brewster is in good fight shape .
If Brewster fights lazy I guess he will get jabbed in the face whole 10 rounds .

Bidenko was coming off a hellacious beating from Boytsov....and I the fight was stopped against Helenius because of a cut over Bidenko's eye....that's not an impressive win for Helenius....and his next best win is Gammar.....yeah....I'm not buying it....this guy is crap...

SMALL ON LAMON BREWSTER

I was gonna stay away from Brinkley....but small is OK....the fight is in Reno and Stevens is nothing special....this is a toss up.....

what cracks me up, is the post on the front page:

"KZ Event Productions Inc. is looking for a bilingual ( English/ Russian, with excellent writing skills in English) secretary. It's a full time position for $12 per hour from the start. It can be increased depending on your professional skills. Bonuses can be paid depending on your participation in the company profits. If you are interested in moving from another state, we can negotiate your travel expenses and partially accommodation.
Please write me back if you are qualified and interested"

where is the job? Vegas ? Khazakstan ?
Damn, dude....focus on the fight.....get someone else to find a secretary....

from Iole's article:

Barry turned down Shumenov?s first request for help, but ultimately agreed to sign on. And after doing so, he watched the fight with Campillo several times.

?The first time I watched it, I thought Campillo won by one point,? said Barry, whose most noteworthy achievement in boxing to date has been winning by disqualification over Evander Holyfield in the 1984 Olympics. ?The second time I saw it, I thought it was a draw. And the third time I watched it, I thought Beibut probably pulled it out by a point.?

Barry estimates he?s watched the fight around 20 times now and has marveled at how much Shumenov has improved. Shumenov has sparred 174 rounds, an inordinately high figure in an eight-week training camp, in order to absorb Barry?s teachings. ?He?s a very bright young man,? Barry said.

He comes from an affluent family in Kazakhstan and one with deep political ties.

KZ Event Promotions has paired with Golden Boy Promotions which, along with Top Rank, are the top promoters in the U.S. Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer conceded that the Shumenovs have a long, hard road ahead of them, but said he was impressed by the brothers.

?They seem committed to building the business,? Schaefer said. ?They?re sharp, they know what they want and they?re not shy about going after it. This is a difficult business. It seems easy to many on the outside, but it?s a very difficult business and way more who try it fail than succeed."

I usually don't like backing fighters from "affluent backgrounds"....ugh.......I'm getting a bit nervous here.....he's in tremendous shape....let's hope he fights like he was born in the ghettos of Khazakstan....

Kevin Barry Rebuilds Shumenov En Route to Another Title Shot
http://www.maxboxing.com/news/promo...uilds-shumenov-en-route-to-another-title-shot

?Beibut is a fierce competitor,? said Barry. Since that loss, he has lived and breathed Campillo. He lives and breathes boxing. He?s a tremendous trainer. He has a very exciting style. All he needs to do is look terrific, put that belt around his waist and there are some big names at that 175-pound division.?
