"the bunker"
took a shot with davaryl williamson at +145........even though i have to admit, the meehan drubbing surprised me...

hard to tell who has more left in the tank...always thought willaimson was decent...never really liked austin....

austin may wear williamson down and maul his way to a win...

small shot at plus odds..

Hi Gents,

I got some nice odds for a draw (Smith fight today) that I could directly hedge so a possible very nice "free lunch".

Additionally I am on some dogs with small amounts, maybe I add more later.

Good luck. :)

Cheers

I expect another explosive performance from the Filipino icon.

They say Pac is at about 150. That is impressive for 150! :00x15 :11jackson :padlock: :padlock: :padlock: :padlock: :padlock: :padlock:

This is my only bet of the week.

Sometimes Williamson can really look good. Can't say the same for Austin.

I am not betting this fight, but if I did I would take Williamson. Good plus number and he might be more motivated to take this win. Williamson had a close battle with Wlad a few years back, and he is in line for rematch (unbelievably) if he wins this. Austin already had his title shot - Rain Man may be going through the motions here. Both can be a little chinny. My pick is TOS.

Good luck boys!

Wrong guy favourite?

The weigh-in should be interesting... If Austin is the same weight he was for the Golota fight I would make him the favourite here ... I lean towards Austin but Williamson looks the better fighter.

I'm on both puppies; Yori Boy and Perez. I think that fat bastard Camacho needs to open up a taco shop and forget about it.

Thanks Ghost,

I think it was a very close fight (just looking on the in-play odds). the lines on draw had been extremly volatile, I got it at the beginning at +9000 and could hedge it later on at +1500...

A draw would have been very nice but as I could even make a small amount out of the fight without a draw I am happy too :toast:

Well I got Smith @ +330 going into 11th round.
Close, close fight.
Props to Graham, Quig didn't get it, but your piece was right on.
What I don't like with Smith is same thing as in Contender fight 2 years ago. He is better man yet he doesn't let his hands go. For 10 rounds it looked as Quig wants it more.

I'll be honest
I was at work with headphones on, so I can't comment on what I thought of the fight
but I listened to the whole thing like a radio show
and the commentators (although we can't always trust them) seemed to be leaning DRAW or Quigley
just from listening on headphones, I am surprised Smith got the nod
but the crowd and the last two rounds seem to push it his way
congrats old dirty - you had Smith !

+330 going into the 11th !!!!!??!?!?
:scared :scared :scared
I am so jealous of the live lines you guys get sometimes
I would have been all over that !
Of course, if I had live betting as option for me during the Botha fight last week, I would be broke right now and begging for food on the freeway exit!
:mj07:
Congrats old dirty !

Wow I had Smith up so I would bet on that too. One time, TheGreek offered live betting. It was Calzage Hopkins. I placed good size bet on Calzage right after KD. Many people seems to did good with live betting on this fight so TheGreek never offer it anymore:( .
So for anyone from USA it is out of reach.

I'm just discovering this live betting.
I'm pretty scared of it to be honest.
Betting closed as even fight and the draw was @ 8

The problem here, Ghost, is that these ring announcers (or MCs as we say in Britain) often haven't a clue about boxing.

When this guy said "majority decision" before announcing the scores, and then gave a winning score for Quigley followed by a winning score for Smith, I thought the last score to be read would have to be all-even, thus giving a nice win for anyone who bet the draw. However, the last score to be announced was in favour of Smith, of course, and so he won by split decision and NOT majority decision, just as you pointed out.

At least the guy in England wasn't as bad as the one in Germany who announced the correct scores (a draw) but then messed up the announcement by seeming to indicate that Botha had won (and we all know how much trouble THAT caused).

Anyone playing the draw in the Smith-Quigley fight would have had their hopes raised, then dashed, in a matter of seconds, thanks to this announcer not knowing the difference between a majority and a split decision.

I had no problem with the win for Smith. It looked Quigley's fight to lose after 10 rounds, but Smith fought like a man possessed in the last two rounds and Quigley couldn't stay with him ... for me it was 115-113 in Smith's favour.
