green wins the 12th clearly w/some well timed big shots....green up by 2 on my card...will be much wider on judges....Blow Job attempts to climb up the corner rope in celebration but the goof stumbles and gets booed...he'll bitch about this til the end of his days...IGreen will certainly win and as far as im concerned ..no controversy

Flores totally content with losing....you can hear it in his interview....talking like a commentator....says he is very discouraged....bullocks....says Green did enough to take the win in Perth.....BJkeeps saying he is discouraged....but you can tell BJ doesn't have a care in the world....he is going to go cash his big check....

He looks like a clown smiling at a funeral....Keeps saying how sad he is....but will probably fly first class back to the US and buy a new house....doesn't care about being great at all....so obvious....

BJ leaving Australia

BJ leaving Australia

There are two types of fighters:

Guys like Glen Johnson, and guys like BJ Flores.

YOU HAVE TO DARE TO BE GREAT when you get that one shot - Flores was happy to just go 12 and fly home with no injuries. He didn't like what he was tasting those last 2 rounds.

I had it 116-112 Green. I gave Flores 9 and 10 on workrate, and then he didn't do anything at all but get smashed around the last two rounds. So even being generous to Flores (maybe 6-4 after 10), I had it 8 to 4.

BJ would have lost that fight in any country in the world the way he fought.

Very solid call Quanah and Romi on the OVER 9.5. BJ was WAY to scared to take any risks - and Green was totally content countering and moving around the friendly Perth ring. It would have gone 24 rounds if scheduled. BJ just doesn't get it and never will.

I tried to hang in there, but it was 5am for me after the Cameron fight, with still two more undercard fights to go. Thanks for the RBR Romi and Ghost. It was fun to read back - especially when it's on the way to a victory.

Nice little start to the week!

He trained for more than 3 weeks. He just prepared for Sergio for 3 weeks as he was planning on fighting Pav. On the flip side, sergio only had a few weeks notice as well...works both ways.
Thanx for the response. In that case then; all things being equal, I like Williams higher caliber of opposition as the factor that makes me lean his way. Actually I did more than lean; I toppled! Best I could find NOW was -115 in Vegas. I am on it. Looking forward to more viewpoints here.

Martinez-Williams is an EXTREMELY difficult fight to cap - I have heard really solid arguments on both sides.

I think that atrocity of a bout with Kermit Cintron (for Williams) in between fights makes this even tougher to call.

I keep asking myself - what did I see in those 4 rounds?

And then, on the Martinez side, how much stock can we put in his middleweight title victory over the town drunk?

Can't wait to see this fight - I think we might be headed for another split/majority decision type deal.

I just hope they don't have that asshole judge who scored the first bout:
judge: Pierre Benoist 119-110 Williams

also ridiculous that Williams camp requested the middleweight title be fought at a catchweight of 157. WTF

Is the fight being fought at 157lbs Ghost? Or was that just a request and denied? I'm a little tired of all these catchweight fights and requests. You want the middleweight title, it's at 160lbs, right where it's been for decades. If it is at 157 I think this favors Williams a bit, although Martinez was a JM for most of his career.

It's at 158 Quanah. I heard 157, too, but Goossen Tutor (Williams's promoter) told me it's definitely 158. Catchweight fights are all the vogue now.

Thanks Graham. I suppose the couple pounds doesn't make all that much difference either way...which is why they should just make it at 160.
