Thanx for the response. In that case then; all things being equal, I like Williams higher caliber of opposition as the factor that makes me lean his way. Actually I did more than lean; I toppled! Best I could find NOW was -115 in Vegas. I am on it. Looking forward to more viewpoints here.He trained for more than 3 weeks. He just prepared for Sergio for 3 weeks as he was planning on fighting Pav. On the flip side, sergio only had a few weeks notice as well...works both ways.
Is the fight being fought at 157lbs Ghost? Or was that just a request and denied? I'm a little tired of all these catchweight fights and requests. You want the middleweight title, it's at 160lbs, right where it's been for decades. If it is at 157 I think this favors Williams a bit, although Martinez was a JM for most of his career.
It's at 158 Quanah. I heard 157, too, but Goossen Tutor (Williams's promoter) told me it's definitely 158. Catchweight fights are all the vogue now.

Thanks Graham. I suppose the couple pounds doesn't make all that much difference either way...which is why they should just make it at 160.
