Edwin Rodriguez - BIG Got some nice early odds here, and also included him in many parlays, including sizeable with Juanma. I like Rodriguez, and know a little extra about him. He's a good kid, and a diligent worker in the gym. Recently had great sparring with Geale. He's barely lost a round and has been showing consistent improvement. McGirt is the right step up for him. The kicker is that Rodriguez is an excellent body puncher, and this is where I see McGirt being especially vulnerable. I see Rod working him over, and the fight ending in the mid to late rounds - with Rod digging painfully to the body.
Stephane Jamoye - BIG Here we go again. At first glance I see Jamoye as much the better fighter. He has been much more active and against better opposition. Reports from Belgium are very high on the kid, and he recently went over to Mexico and gave highly touted Kameda a desperate struggle (fight originally called a draw, only to be changed to a split win for Kameda days later??). Jamarillo has been very inactive, and hasn't beaten anyone above novice grade. But the fight is in Jamarillo's hometown of Madrid!!! Big and scary factor, but I am going with Jamoye, who I know will give all he has, to be just plain better. I will be sweating this one out until result shows.
Good luck guys! More Saturday plays to come.
