How do you think we would've fared if it went to scorecards Ghost? Were there a lot of close rounds?

We would have won
too strong
hurt the hometown guy almost every round
besides one
really good competitive bout though

Sounds like good give and take in the main event. Mcgirt appears to be holding his own and then some...according to the rbr. I believe Rodriguez is ahead after 5

It's Rodriguez's fight to lose. He's up 7-1 on my card and just teeing off on mcgirt.

The ref and Buddy are both ready to throw in the towel between rounds. Looks like both are giving young mcgirt one more round to do something or they're gonna pull the plug.

That's it! Ref saves Mcgirt from himself after he just ate shots round after round. 1:57 of the 9th. Rodriguez by TKO.

Saturday plays

Saturday plays

All right, in a good position with some of these, due to parlays in motion...

Juan Manuel Lopez (-300) - BIG Juanma too young, too strong. I don't put much stock in Marquez' recent victory over I.Vasquez, who I think was all but shot. I think Marquez is a bit ring worn and shaky himself. I do think he has a lot of pride, and will not go quietly...but it will not be enough. It will be a great fight, and Marquez will have his moments, but I think he will go sometime between 6-9.

Robert Guerrero (-185) - MEDIUM I have been hesitant to go on Guerrero, based on periodic inconsistent performances. But I think he's got it right now. He really showed his class against Casamayor who, while old, is a tough nut for anyone to crack. I think he operates on a higher level than Escobedo, who will give it his all, but it will not be enough. Solid competitive fight, but I think Guerrero takes it clear... 97-93.

Zab Judah (-165) - MEDIUM Zab has finally grown up me thinks. He is taking this last run very seriously, and appears in stellar shape. Matthysse will find Judah on a much higher level than he has before faced. Judah does have a tendency to bust up and slow down, but still... I think the skill difference is somewhat wide here. Matthysse is a bit crude, and I think the fact that Judah can whack will keep him in his place. There will be some scary moments, but I say Judah walks thru the fire here... Beating up Matthysse and stopping him mid to late.

Isaac Chilemba (+110) - MEDIUM RARE Taking a shot on Chilemba here, who I think is proving himself to be quite formidable. Thing is, we know Chilemba is good, having reeled off a string of solid victories. He's young and appears to be getting better and better. We don't know how good Oosthuizen is, as he has not been tested at all. I think this will be difference. Ooze comes with a lot of tout, but he will have to be very good to beat Chilemba... And I think Chilemba will prove too tough for a first step up. Taking the known quantity against the unknown here.

Not endorsing these for much, but I also went small with Glen Johnson and Gavin Rees to complete some hopeful long odds parlays.

Good luck my brothers!!!!

Excellent post Quanah :0074. I have my big play on Johnson. Haven't seen anything in Green to make me think he can get past the Road Warrior. If Johnson loses, I believe it will be a result of all his ring wars and age finally catching up. I don't think Green is good enough to expose the old man.

I have a small amt on Zab. Would be bigger if the odds were better. I agree that Zab is in the best place mentally that he has ever been him. Hope he has enough in the tank to get by Matthysse. No question in my mind that Matthyse is going to be a handful and then some. These Argentinians are tough bastards and Zab better be prepared to fight all 12 rds.

Very well said on Lopez. I think the fight will pretty much play out as you mentioned. I haven't hit it...yet.

Good luck :toast:
