Hopkins has no desire to come back to Quebec. Hopkins: "The closest I'll come to Canada is Niagra Falls."

The feeling I'm sure is mutual Bhop.

BTW, props to Quanah for being the only guy here to pick Old Man River...sorry if I missed someone else. He said that Hop scared him and he defied age and odds several times. I don't neccessarily think he got jobbed. Some rds were close enough to go to Pasc (in Canada) that didn't. On my card he won a razor close dec. The way Quanah called it was SPOT ON :toast: :toast: :toast:

Hopkins and Schaefer need to just shut the f up.

You can't get knocked down twice in the other guys hometown and bitch bout a draw. It was a close fight.

Schaefer is going on and on about seeking legal retribution. I guess the thorn in his side is the 10-10 scored by judge Daniel Van De Wiele in round 10. Schaefer was quoted as saying that a judge that scored that round 10-10 should find a new profession.

Funny thing is, both boxing writers I watched with tonight scored that round 10-10 immediately following the round.

Schaefer should be more thankful that round 12 went to Hops across the board, a round I thought Pascal would surely get upon first viewing of it.

I'm sure the cheese and whine fest will continue for a few weeks now from Golden Boy.

All Pasc had to do was win ONE fvcking rd out of the last 4 and he wins the fight. Nice choke job there.

that's worse than sergio mora

couldn't win 11th or 12th vs grandpa mosley

i just figured what these two did

RESPECTED THEIR OPPONENT

WAY TOOO MUCH

they needed to shit on the legacy, not prolong it

I can see why some of you are upset about the scoring of the Huck Lebedev fight.
But actually, I?m pretty happy that Huck won against Lebedev?and IMO we all should!
After Abrahams devastating loss to Froch, it was very important for Sauerland to keep one of their flagships as a champion! Currently Sauerland is staging quite a lot of pretty decent shows, but they need fighters who can headline a show, and there aren?t too many young and talented fighters who draw a lot of people. So courtesy of Huck, we will probably see a lot of good, bettable fights from Germany in the future!

Man, I can understand with the knockdowns, the fight being in Canada and all...but really, let's be honest guys, who won this fight?? Hopkins outmanned the youngster. He won this fight, period. He had Pascal confused and running scared from round 4 on. I feel bad for Old Man River. He deserved this fight.

Lebedev

That one hurts!!! You had to know that anything close was gonna go to Huck in Germany. If it's true that Huck had a broken rib from round 4, then Lebedev should've gotten him the hell out of there!!!

Damn it, bad bad December for me to Romi! But a very good year!!! Let's get'em next year!!!

"the bunker"
love him or hate him, hopkins is an amazing athlete....

even forgetting the 46 y.o. stuff...anybody that gets knocked down twice early and looks for all the world ready to get blown out of the water, only to come all the way back on foreign soil...vs a guy that just handled a potential pfp`er in dawson...

well,that`s some serious shit,right there...

the large consensus appears to be that bhop actually won....i figured the speed would be the key....

we see him buck the odds time and again...still shaking my head...

Have to start with I hate Hopkins. Always have.

You cant go into Canada and expect to take a belt from the champion unless you win convincingly.

The way I saw the fight.

Pascal is a very strong kid with a strong chin. He was very confident for the first 4 rounds. But once Hops saw that he had a chance, he reached down from the bowls of hell and pulled up what he needed to make it close. And what he pulled up was devastating body shots. I mean he hurt Pascal and he hurt him bad to the body. Hopkins dropped many a fight in his day with them same shots. At some point Pascal realized that he could not hold up to those body shots and a KO was possible if he wasnt very careful. He backed up and made Hops chase him. This tire Hops and made it more difficult for him to land. It reduced the effect of Hops blows and Hops had to resort to lunging and flaying around some.

Even though Hops was clearly gassed in the later rounds, he was able to fight on. Fawker is a warrior. If I have to fight and die, put this guy next to me and I will take my chances.

He got a second wind and lets face it, Hops is a very proud and tough competitor.

Pascal survived. His belt should not have been taken from him. This fight was too close.

Hops crying about it is just a front for trying to get one last million dollar payday. I dont think I would be interested in a rematch fight.

Hops is going the way of many punch drunk fighters in the past. Too many shots. He may say that at 46 he is in top condition. But the reality is you do not recover from head shots like you did when you were 20. Hops needs to hang it up.

Knocking Hops off his feet twice won the draw for Pascal.

I enjoyed watching that fight. I wanted to see Hops get knocked out and go down like a clown.

And one more time Hops laughs at me from the circus ring.

The hate for Hopkins on this site is clouding guys vision on who won this fight. Sure Hopkins might deserve some of it but that was fascinating what he did last night against a young buck like that.

Scotty one of the reasons he is still fighting is because nobody can hit him. His defense has always been short of amazing. this really is the first fight i actually saw him get hit and that stopped after round three. I maena Calzaghe was dominating everyone but it wasn't the case with Hopkins.

Just watched the Hopkins Pascal fight.
I really must say, I was very impressed by Hopkins.
He looked really good, better than against Jones!

I hadHopkins up 115:113, and I scored the first round 10 9 for Pascal...so I can see why Hopkins is dissapointed that he didnt get the win...but what can you expect if you fight in your opponents hometown and get knocked down 2 times!?

Who exactly are you referring too Sponge . I had Hop 114-113. Keep in mind he was down 30-25 after 3 rds. That means he had to win 7 of 9 to secure a draw and win 8 of 9 to get the W. Rds 5, 10, and 12 were very close and Pasc could have legitmately stole them. I gave 5 and 12 to Hop and scored 10 even as did 1 judge. The draw is no robbery by any stretch. An argument can be made that Pasc won it by a pt... I don't think he did but there were a few tough rds to score. IMO, both kds were legit and correct calls. The 1st one hit Hop on the side of the head, not the back as he tried to complain. As far as I'm concerned there is little to no controversy regarding the cards.

Graham, we are all awaiting your assessment on the fight :0corn
