Simpson takes the title
a fair call
the crowd is silent
this Scot is something else
116-113
116-113
116-113 simpson rightfully takes it
Actually, I'm more than a bit surprised that Simpson won a UD by these margins!!
How often do you get 3 neutral, good judges judging a fight for the underdog in the champs hometown!!
I would have preferred a draw though! ;-)
Same here Z but Ive found that Irish judges are rather impartial. When Dunne fought Cordoba, the announcers had Dunne wide ahead but he was losing the fight and the judges had it correct. Dunne needed a dramatic ko and got it. I didnt watch this entire fight today but from the rds I saw, Simpson was cool and in control.

So tired of Hopkins crap....same shit, different fight
Asshole
Hello Romi
I don't want to appear pedantic but the judges were all from England in the Lindsay-Simpson fight. ... I was a bit surprised at such clear scores, but Simpson wouldn't be denied. Simpson reminds me very much in his toughness and tenacity of a Scottish featherweight from the 1960s and 1970s called Evan Armstrong, from Ayrshire, another guy who would keep coming at his opponent all night. He had upset wins over fancied English fighters Howard Hayes and Jimmy Revie and in another upset Armstrong came from behind to knock out a highly regarded fellow-Scot named Vernon Sollas, who was a classy, sharpshooting boxer from Edinburgh. Armstrong, like Simpson, was super fit, hard as nails and just wore guys down. ... WeePaul might know of Evan Armstrong.
Nard doing what he can to get into Pascals head. From the looks of it, I think he did.
Agreed ghost Kid but i was listening to Pascal on radio and his comments after those events and he sounds cool and not piss off... His trainer is pretty good and will make sure he is ready.
Ouch on the Ireland fights today!! I knew Simpson was tough. He has been competitive with top guys in each of his losses. Sounds like he took it to another level against Lindsay though.
I don't about the interview afterward, but Pascal was certainly rattled at the press conference. The last staredown concerned me. Pascal couldn't look him in the eye, and Hopkins was just staring right through him. It actually reminded me of the way Holyfield was looking down on Tyson before their fights. Pascal is a real pro, and I doubt that this will account for much on fight night - but if the press conference was a scored round you'd have to give it to Hopkins.
Lets face it. The convicted felon is a master at promo and every bit of chaos he causes, he makes more money. It's all propaganda and the felon loves this shit. This is a fuking circus sideshow and nothing more. I have as much respect for WWF as I do a lot of these "contests". The promoters are all laughing their respective asses off as the public buys into this horseshit, and they clean up. However, I would'nt mind seeing the felon KTFO.Nard doing what he can to get into Pascals head. From the looks of it, I think he did.
