Paredes-Pitalua in Rd 8. Even fight. Judges could have it either way. Good action fight and both guys taking turns landing shots and winning rounds.

Over hits.

This would've been the second time for me winning big on Bailey. He was a +160 underdog against Jackson Osei Bonsu, and I forget what the over/under was. Quanah, I'm afraid my golden ticket will no longer be slept on and considered a heavy underdog. It's a damn shame since he was sticking it to Ouali too.

Yup, he was gonna win. Too bad for us. Momentary lapse of reason for Bailey. We're actually damn lucky he wasn't dq'd.

RD10 - Pitalua lands numerous hard shots. Staggers Paredes who does have a good chin. I have the fight a dead heat after 10. Paredes looks a little worse for the wear, and last 2 will be interesting.

Commentators have Paredes up 6-4.

Good fight!!

Frank, I was there over the summer during the weekend of Khan/Malignaggi. There were a ton of fights that weekend and they only had a line for the Khan fight. When I asked them if they would be showing the fight in the sportsbook they looked at me like I was crazy. I don't think Vegas cares anymore about boxing, unless it's a major fight.
Yea, that's the case a lot of times. If it's a "mega" deal all the celebs show up just to mingle and socilize and could'nt give a rats butt about boxing. Not all are like that though, but they draw people in also. Slot machines and horse racing are sure fire winners for the casino. Also, MMA is HUGE so that's a factor also. The jerk-dick ticket writer at Mandalay had a piss poor attitude when I made some inquiries; also the coffee at Mandalay SUCKS too so now I really hate the place.

Paredes dropped in 11th!! Claiming slip, but he was down clean. He doesn't seem hurt, and is holding his own now. Hard overhand right from Pit, another, Paredes hurt! Still swinging, great round!! 2 point round for Pit.

I have Pit up 2.

Commentators 104-104 after 11.

RD12 - Paredes a bit gassed. Pit winning on aggression. Slower rd, I expected a firefight, but both guys tired. Now Paredes lands combination. Both swinging at bell. Close rd. I'll call it even.

115-113 Pitalua on my card.

Commentators 114-113 Pitalua

Decision to come.

114-113 Paredes
115-112 Pitalua
117-110 Paredes

Paredes wins split. Obviously 117-110 was WAY off. No problem with the other cards. Paredes looks much worse, one eye completely closed.

117-110? WTF so that judge gave Pitula the round he dropped Paredes and 1 more? That's horrible I thought Pitula won 115-112 to be honest.

Well, this is about the biggest dud of a week on the whole year for me. I liked a lot of things, but with cancellations, and lines wider than I expected, I'm not seeing too much at all. I've made some small plays, parlays, and over/unders where they fit, and will just break down the fights I have involved the way I see them:

Khan-Maidana I haven't found anyone at all picking Maidana, which does surprise me. Khan's chin is very suspect, and all the great training in the world can't take that away entirely. Maidana is not your average puncher either. If Khan gets hit on the chin, he will go. I consider his drubbing of Kotelnik particularly impressive though. Most likely result is Khan W12 I think, but Maidana ITD is worth a hedge or small play.

Mares-Darchinyan I'm surprised to see the odds this wide, as Darch is a proven vet. and Mares is still young. Mares performance against Perez was impressive though, and I suppose the idea is that Mares sharp boxing will be too much for Darch's wide and wild style. Mares W12

Perez-Agbeko I like Perez here, but I think Agbeko will come to fight, better than the first fight. Perez looks a little gaunt to me at the weigh-in. Still, I like Perez to win this but the odds are too wide. Perez W12

Ortiz-Peterson Peterson's lack of punching power will probably be the difference, but I think Ortiz is in for a fight here. Pet will be in his face and busy. Most likely result I think is a dec. win for Ortiz. Pet could be worth a small doggie fun bet though.

DeGale-Smith I like DeGale to stop Smith, who I think has peaked. He also cuts, and the under could be a viable play here.

Bellew-McKenzie McKenzie KO12. There's a prediction for ya.

Rosas-Mijares Rosas full of confidence and I think Mijares is on the downslide. Close win against F.Arce was a negative in my opinion. I think Rosas wins with his tenacity, but I certainly wouldn't bet the farm or the family pig on it.

Good luck guys!!! :SIB

"the bunker"
i`m bucking the roach mystique and taking a flyer on maidana at those odds.....

but i`m gonna wait until right before post time as every one that thought maidana was a real threat have gone the way of the buggy whip...i wouldn`t be surprised to see +275/300.....

khan may be as good as everyone says...but his biggest win outsie the u.k. was a carefully selected paulie boombatz who couldn`t break an egg....who`s best days are behind him...

matter of fact, not a single puncher in the room after the prescott debacle...

there was talk that khan wanted no part on maidana a year and a half ago and opted out of a fight with him...apparently roach feels much has changed since that time....the corley fight has apparently soured everyone on maidana...

personally,i was rolling the bones with maidana regardless of the corley fight...a lookahead fight for him.....

i think maidana is a very dangerous man...reslient...not easily dissauded...

the kotelnk fight(a blatant robbery) and the ortiz win sold me on maidana...it`s amazing how 1 fight can sour everyone on a fighter...like ortiz vs maidana...

personally,i give ortiz a shot vs anybody in the division...

g.l. everyone...

Khan-Maidana

Khan-Maidana

Could be weasel, could be. I don't like betting against Roach; same as betting against Belichick of the Patriots. However, I too feel Maidana has a shot but all I could do was play "won't go 10 full rds". GL weasel and I do hope you win as it probably means I will too.

After watching that footage, I gotta say Bailey should have been 100% disqualified and had his pay taken

That was ridiculous
