Puzzled at the lack of lines still at sportsbook, so I'm going to have to go w/ this fight here first. No weigh-in photos online still, but fightnews.com reports Bailey weighed in at 143.2 and Ouali weighed in at 146.5. When analyzing Bailey's weight, at first I thought to myself why, being as how he's now a welterweight and fought his last two fights at or above the 147 limit, but despite being a career junior welter, most of his fights he's actually fought in that 143 neighborhood. Ouali's listed as the favorite at -290. He has leaky defense for sure. Against Irving Garcia, which fight commentary mentioned Ouali concentrated on upping his defense, meaning his defense was worse before, Garcia connected w/ many rights while pawing w/ the left jab, which we know is Bailey's trademark, and nobody arguably hits harder than him. Ouali doesn't have too much movement, but is def. not as stationary as Jackson Osei Bonsu. Ouali was trained three years ago by Bailey's current trainer John David Jackson, just a thought. The over/under being 8.5, I don't see this one going that far and I'm taking the under, to go along w/ Bailey for +230.

Excellent info. and breakdown December. I'm backing the doggie with you on this, for largely the same reasons. I like Ouali as a fighter, and when I first saw the match-up I liked him, but only just barely. I had this capped at about pick'em, with Ouali just the slightest of favorites. Ouali is very aggressive, but he leaves himself open when he attacks. I can see Bailey landing that straight hard shot down the pike, and if he does, it will be trouble for Ouali, who has been down numerous times. I think this can go either way, and will back the sizeable dog small here.

steve kim put this on his twitter:

"Word is that Randall Bailey got the major shaft in Belgium vs Said Ouali. Scored early knockdowns but fight ends in 'no-contest' "

Apparently Bailey had Ouali down hard in the 1st and harder in the 2nd. Ouali was on the offensive when somehow they got tangled. Bailey lifted him up, way up apparently because Ouali projected over the top rope and out of the ring. Observers say that Bailey was on his way to a KO win. Ouali could not get out of the way of his shots.

Khan-Maidana

Khan-Maidana

Played "won't go 10 full rds.-125" at Mandalay Bay. Those stiffs did'nt have a single number posted on anything else for this w/e, but maybe by Sat they will. This town is a fuking joke. All the real bookies are history. Figure Maidana KNOWS Khan is faster/better boxer, so he will/has to try for the decapitation. Not that this is a sure fire plan that will work, as his trainer Freddie Roach has seen it all and will be prepared.

do his fighters ever lose anymore?.....

he has khan and he worked a bit with gsp in the big mma fight in canada this weekend...

both faves...does the roach roll continue?...is he god?....or does he just know how to pick his spots?....

the guy`s on an incredible run....

It may be as simple Roach being one astute sob that can flat out train his guys in ways others only dream about. Like making a silk purse out of a sow's ear, as it were. I give Maidana a much better chance than Margarito versus Pac-man as Margarito had limited gas in the tank from jump street, and I really believe Maidana will almost die in the ring trying to get the w. He may even get stopped but I don't think he cares. I say he goes for broke.

Frank, I was there over the summer during the weekend of Khan/Malignaggi. There were a ton of fights that weekend and they only had a line for the Khan fight. When I asked them if they would be showing the fight in the sportsbook they looked at me like I was crazy. I don't think Vegas cares anymore about boxing, unless it's a major fight.

Cristian Mijares / Juan Alberto Rosas

Cristian Mijares / Juan Alberto Rosas

I see Mijares is the dog at sportsbook for +135.

I think he's got one more good fight left in him. does anybody else?

Randall Bailey you idiot....

Randall Bailey you idiot....

This would've been the second time for me winning big on Bailey. He was a +160 underdog against Jackson Osei Bonsu, and I forget what the over/under was. Quanah, I'm afraid my golden ticket will no longer be slept on and considered a heavy underdog. It's a damn shame since he was sticking it to Ouali too.
