B. Solomon W10 A. Adjaho

99-91
98-92
97-93

Too bad that fight against the Ukraine guy in Nicaragua - with odds, was canceled. I think we had a good spot there. Watch out for Solomon.

Adjaho isn't a bad fighter either. He gave Melligan a tough go.

I like Frez in the main by dec.

I think so to. Too bad no line. Fres probably would've been what, -3? Over would've been large.

Adjaho seems to be one of those guys just missed the boat - just barely - and is now fast becoming an opponent. He had DeMarco beat, and if he would've held his head, his career would be much different right now.

McCall wins

McCall wins

115-113 Oquendo
115-113 McCall
116-112 McCall

Ollie takes SD

Oquendo apparently bitching - badlefthook scored it the other way

Now a riot in the ring, started by Fres' peeps
:scared

Anyone see it?

Just reading description

Well, I spoke too soon...and thankfully no line.

Oliver McCall W12 Fres Oquendo

split decision!

116-112
115-113
113-115

Oquendo has got to be the hardest luck fighter that I can think of. Look at his losses:

split loss to McCall
close loss to Mormeck (a fight he won)
split loss to Toney (a fight many thought he won)
close loss to Holyfield (a fight many thought he won)
close loss to Byrd (a fight he won)
late ko loss to Ruiz (a fight he was winning)
late ko loss to Tua (a fight he was winning)

I'm curious to hear the recap on this one. He just keeps falling short.

Warren card falling apart

Warren card falling apart

http://britishboxingnews.com/rumour-mill-cleverly-lakatos-off/

"Earlier today it was announced that Frankie Gavin?s fight with Dean Harrison was postponed and it seems another casualty to the ?Return of the Magnificent Seven? card has arrived in the form of Nathan Cleverly?s interim WBO title fight with the experienced Alejandro Lakatos. Apparently, the 37 year old Lakatos (31-5-2) hasn?t made it to the UK in time, and the fight has been pulled. If true, it?s another disappointment for Cleverly (20-0) who was hoping to fight Juergen Braehmer for the WBO light heavyweight title on the bill."

Hello Q

I fear that Oquendo's punch-and-clutch style wins no favour with the judges. Some very close fights have gone against him but he gives a judge the opportunity to score rounds for the other guy. I believe he was officially behind on points against Ruiz.

This is a nightmare

This is a nightmare

so for those keeping track that is the Gavin bout, the Cleverly bout, and the Klitschko bout all cancelled today.

These late-hour cancellations are a nightmare. When I used to go to the fights on site frequently it was my big concern that the fight would actually take place.

My pal Glyn (editor of Boxing Monthly) had two horrible experiences of travelling from the UK for a fight only for the fight to be cancelled. There was the Hong Kong show (Frank Bruno vs Ray Mercer etc.) that was cancelled the day before the show (no tickets were sold, I gather), and then the Akinwande-Holyfield fight at the Garden, cancelled the day before when it was revealed that Akinwande was suffering from hepatitis. ...

Only last weekend the Dimitrenko fight was cancelled, with the show in progress, when Dimitrenko collapsed backstage. ... We had the Corrales-Castillo rubber match in Las Vegas cancelled when Castillo failed to make weight (again). There have been others. ... It must be incredibly disappointing and frustrating for people who made the trip, perhaps a very long trip, for these fights, apart from the disappointment for those directly involved, undercard fighters and so on.

Post thanksgiving cancellations.

No one with money likes to train. I see upsets year after year.

I know first hand from wrestling 18 years its tough to put on the plastics and go run and/or cut weight...esp in the snow.

And not eat over the holidays...
