Finally, the main event. The Super Six. Abraham vs. Dirrell.

Direll can box, but he is skittish and amateurish. GW, comparing this bout to Ward-Kessler is nuts.
Also, Arthur has actually already had 2 bouts at super-middle, if you count his bout at 166 with Miranda. Both Miranda and Taylor ended with brutal KOs. I think this one does as well.

Dirrell is no Ward (maybe same talent physically, but LACKING mentally in a big way), and Abraham is NO Kessler. Remember how Kessler starting bitching about those cuts on his face? Abraham fought with a damn broken jaw against Miranda. Arthur is a bad ass MF. The dude has convinced me in a big way.

I think at some point, he pins this kid on the ropes and smashes Dirrell. He will probably be down on the cards when it happens. But he will get Direll. I actually think Abraham will start a bit faster Saturday, knowing the cards are stacked against him. He is gonna run the American out of the ring.

Also, although I scored the last fight for Dirrell, I was VERY disappointed in his performance. Froch, as wee says, is a caveman. Very raw. Abraham is stronger and more precise. Dirrell, at some point, early or late, is going to realize he is stuck and start the four corners defense. But he will only be able to run for so long.

King Arthur. KTFO.

MY PLAYS
Joyi (medium)
Kameda (medium)
Ndlovu (small)
Cayo (small)
Abraham (large)

Coin Flippers:
Henry-Garay (would have taken the +210 opener on Garay, but now its even)
Guzman-Funeka
Moreno-Cermeno
Morales-Alfaro

all these have too many variables for me.

Dogs that Could Bark:
Cayo
Ndlovu
Guzman

Good luck fellas. Let's have fun and win some money. I will update as many of these results as I can. With the UFC, Morales, The Super Six, and Maidana-Cayo tomorrow night - all at the same time - my head is gonna be spinning.

Action starts early today with Joyi and Helenius. Helenius result will be easy to find, but the South African result may be tougher. No ESPN tonight, but action all day tomorrow. HUGE WEEK !

Shocked Garay was + 160 , after watching Campillo school a somewhat limited but still all balls Beibut Shumenov I don't think it's a shame losing to him by 1 point on 2 scorecards and a draw . That being said I don't know much about Henry but he lost to Mack who looked like a bum against the old man Glen in his recent TKO loss . Like you say if Garay comes in shape and motivated there is no way he is + 160 dog .

A loss to Campillo is surely more impressive than a loss to Yusuck Mack

good move

good move

Abraham-Dirrell officials named

After long discussions, Team Sauerland, Gary Shaw and the Michigan Boxing Commission have agreed on officials. The referee will be Laurence Cole (Texas). Judges are Anek Hontoncan (Thailand), Gino Cavalleri (Italy) and Frank Garza (Michigan). The Abraham camp had objected to the use of local officials, however, the well respected Garza was deemed acceptable.

Good call by King Arthur's people - Michigan will rob a visiting fighter every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

My plays:

Hatton-med/reasons given on earlier post.

Joyi-med/he dominated a fighter Garcia barely ekked by. Hometown and fighting at his peak. I think Garcia will need to knock him out to win.

Cayo-small/Cayo is VERY confident and he can box and move and he's slick. Maidana and Kotel was very close and if this guy is just a smidgeon better then he might be able to pull it off. Maidana should be favored and may very well ktfo Cayo but I think Cayo wins if he can stay on his feet. Not out of the question that cayo could get Maidana out of there. He can punch himself and Maidana gets hit ALOT. Even the rather light punching Kotel was able to back up Maidana at times. Def worth a small play @+400

Ndlova-small/I agree that Molitor could very well be a shot fighter. He dominated this guy the 1st time out but Ndlova is fighting better and Molitor is just getting by.Ndlova knows Molitor was ruined by Caba. Worth a play @+400

Direll-small-maybe. Haven't made the wager but if odds move a little more I might play it. I think he has a decent chance at the upset although all the arguments for AA are sound. Direll will really need to up his game and actually FIGHT to win this.

Wretchman under-maybe/both fighters are horrible and neither has a chin. I dont think it goes 7 1/2. Like Ghost, Wretchman was my worst loss last year and I really don't give a shit what happens in this one.

Good Luck Jackers!

Just watched the Tolppola/Branco fight and its tough to like his chances today based on that performance from late 2008. The Finnish fighter was having the better of it and had stunned Branco a couple times. He should have been up on the cards when it was stopped in the 9th round due to swelling around Tolppola's eye. A real fluke win for Branco against a mediocre fighter.

Don't know too much about Matthew Hatton but barring him getting caught I don't see Branco winning. Cards have to be with Hatton from the get go, Branco will have to dominate to win on points. Little concerned with Hatton's preparation as he took the fight on short notice and fought last month. Well everything has some risk.

Think its possible Hatton could stop him based on what I witnessed in the Tolppoloa fight...

Jut got Hatton today as well. I think it shoulde be a fairly easy win for him. Branco sounds like he's completely shot.
