Nice Call

Nice Call

I think McDermott might have a chance on Saturday against Danny Williams

He is a big underdog (depending on the site anywhere from +200 to +350).

The first fight was close, and McDermott had Williams out on his feet twice. Williams has also been KO'ed since that fight by Sosnowski.

McDermott is a fat slob. He is slow and soft to the body. But he can punch and he is determined to beat Williams. and the biggest factor - Williams has a bad chin and is a shot fighter.

I'll take a shot on the doggy.

man I totally agree. Williams looked so bad recently; I would bet against him against just about anyone with a pulse.

McDermott 18 stone 4 pounds = 256. What a slob! But he still may win.

Ughhhh
Hate McDermott's weight
But I was already expecting a fat slob....

Danny Williams is totally shot. I think Jabba the Hut knocks out Glass Jaw.

BTW Kramden
you were on the money with that Mathebula-Caballero fight
that guy was a tough out and MANY people thought the South African did more than enough to get the nod

I had Caballero by a point, but it was pretty shocking to see Celestino getting knocked around like a rag doll in rounds 9 and 10. He came back and made the last two rounds close - but for a minute there, I thought he was going to be layed out.

I no longer think Caballero can beat Gamboa - I think Gamboa would f him up. Explosive KO.

thanks Ghost.

Methebula looked pretty good on paper and I knew they were like bookends. I was thinking of backing the S.A. but figured he's come up short on the judges tally. Prob was worth a small play anyway.

Yeah, Cab is getting up there in age and he can/will be had.

It's annoying that that dude simply won't get in better shape!

Williams is lighter than their last meeting but 7 pounds heavier than when he was stopped by Sosnowski.

Look at this slob Max Alexander
coming in at 199 pounds - ridiculous.
and he keeps sending out these press releases saying he is taking over the cruiserweights - that this is the weight he belonged at all along.

Then why didn't he sign up for the cruiserweight contender show instead of the super middleweight one?

Absurd.

:mj07:

I mean I am so tired of stuff like this:
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=16315

This guy must have the same publicist as Miranda. If he trained as much as he typed and talked, he would be world champ by now.

Of course he says he was robbed in Russia - there is no footage of it anywhere.
:mj07:

I hope Alekseev smacks him right in the gut.
