In regards to quitting. I believe it is much easier to do a second time once you have done it before.

BUT, some guys take such a shit-kicking over it from fans and media that their resolve becomes much stronger.
This could be the case with Ortiz.

I already mentioned Vitaly but the best example I can think of is Vasquez.
He outright quit in the first fight with Marquez while the fight was still winnable.
He then went through Hell in the next 2 fights.

When I think about Vasquez, the last thing on my mind is "Quitter".

If I had sustained the punishment from Maidana that Ortiz took, they would not have gotten me off the floor until the cleaning lady's started to mop around me :mj07:

Paulie on Kevin Mitchell-Michael Katsidis

"I see a lot of people in the British media are saying Mitchell has a tougher fight than Khan this weekend. Michael Katsidis? I think he's a nice guy....but he's BRUTAL ! He's HORRIBLE ! Juan Diaz sonned him, and you saw what I did with Juan Diaz"

Hey guys, I'll be in Vegas this weekend. Since the Khan fight isn't that big of a deal do you still think the fight will be shown in the sportsbook?

I think so damien
you never know, but because this fight is HBO and not pay-per-view, hotels like Mandalay usually throw it up on the big screen

the pay per view fights are always closed circuit, but I have seen several HBO fights is the books...I will never forget standing in the Mandalay Bay a few years back, leaving dinner at Rum Jungle, walking over to the sportsbook and seeing Barrera get slaughtered. Everyone in the book who had layed the price on Marco Antonio was yelling "Who the fuk is this lil Philipino?"

Parlay looks money to me matt
good luck
I am on the Pole and Khan as well
Chisora is a talented guy, when he is not biting ears and kissing opponents
won't matter here though....Williams is washed up

speaking of Williams
its fuking incredible to me that this guy is still fighting and even remotely competitive
he is finally on the down side, but he has remained near the top in ENGLAND far more years than I predicted
This guy took one of the most vicious beatings I've ever seen from Vitali
I mean it was hard to watch
I can't believe the guy has had 14 fights since that night !
:scared

Yeah I remember watching his fight with Vitali and yelling at the TV, "Stay down Danny! Stay Down!" because he was taking way too much punishment.

But now Danny's recuperative powers have greatly diminished and he didn't even have a trainer for this fight coming up with Chisora.

Try station casinos, Palms. However it is possible that even in those no fight will be shown.
Good luck!

Looks like everyone is going Mitchell...have to say I don't think its a very good play. Aside from the promotional interest/politics in favor of Mitchel, I don't see what makes him a good pick. If you look at his Boxrec page, how many Mitchell opponents do you recognize beyond Prescott? Sure he can box well enough against journeymen and nobodies, but is he mature enough as a boxer to keep Katsidis off of him? Mitchel isn't going to outwork Kat like Diaz either, nor is he going to counter as well as Casamayor....plus Katsidis has been improving defensively in his last few fights IMO.

But given the venue maybe this is a fight to stay away from altogether.
