Which books do you use, romi, Mayorga Fan, dman!?

Could it be that sportsbook was very early this week with their lines!?

BTW, I like the number on Foreman as well, and I also think this fight goes over!

I'm not sure though, if they would rather give the fight to Cotto if its close on the cards....

Mares vs. Perez is an intriguing fight!
IMO this goes over, Perez is teak tough...I'm not so sure about Mares, but he looks ready an confident!

I agree Perez has really impressed me when he stepped up in class and won. I need to watch more tape on Mares, but Perez's experience in big fights may be the difference maker unless Mares can box smarter than Johnny. Apparently they fought three times in the amatuers, so they know what skill sets eachother brings. I see this brawl going over 9.5 too.

Good Luck Zerwas!:D

Odds have been out for some time on Cotto/Foreman. Not sure why Cotto is such a heavy favorite here. Foreman coming off his career best win and Cotto coming off a career worst 1 sided beatdown. I think Steward is a great trainer but I'm leaning Cotto to be past it to the stage that Steward will be of little use. Cotto was a good puncher @147 but not great. I think he'll have a tough time chasing down the quicker Foreman. Foreman can box from the outside, give some movement and just frustrate Cotto over the course. I don't think it's out of the question Foreman could get a late stoppage. Both of these guys are Arum's mini cash cows but I think there is more upside to Foreman. All things being even I think Arum would prefer Foreman to win this. I think he's live and was surprised to see +180 a month back and more surprised to see him @ +200 now. Any thoughts?

This fight seems like a 50/50 coin flip to me. Cotto has more power and experience and Foreman has quiker hands and footwork. If Foreman fights a disiplined fight, he has the skills to outbox Cotto at this stage in Cotto's career. If Foreman stands in front of Cotto and brawls (not Foreman's style), Cotto's could do some damage. Also, Cotto has had stamina issues in rounds 9-12 in recent fights, so Foreman has a good chance to steal rounds late. But Cotto has a big following in NYC, so the crowd will be reacting positively to anything Cotto lands. Lots of factors to consider, but +200 is a favorable line in a toss up fight.:)

Zerwas,

I use the usual sites that the American bettors use and I'm fortunate to have have access to a good euro book...that's all I'm going to say on this. Good luck this week :toast:

Agreed! I think the odds are a bit off. I just think the bettors are giving Manny some credit b4 it's due, regarding cotto. Cotto suffered 2 bruatal ko losses and i think had Clot pressed the issue, he could have gotten Cotto out of there also. Shane and Zab both buzzed him as well. Suffice to say, his punch resistance isn't going to get any better. Not a huge wager for me but the odds are just too good to pass up.

perez was losing on all cards to tough silence mabusa prior to the 12th round stoppage..granted,it was south africa, but i think though close, the scoring was legit....

weird ending...a jab put mabusa down and really got the ball rolling.....apparently it was an accumulation of damage...

both took punishment...perez is extremely durable...

btw....meaningless factoid..mares took out ahgel priolo in 6 back on 04/07.....the same priolo that was even on 2 scorecards with vasquez until the end in the 9th in his comeback fight...meaningless..but it`s information...

perez` dismantling tough agbeko has to be concerning to mares backers....

Hi Guys,

I'm a new poster at the forums but I've been reading the board for the last six months and thought I could join in.

I'm usually pretty good with picks.

This week I'm going with:

Mares by SD (tough fight to call)
OVER for above.
R. Marquez mid - late stoppage.
under 9.5 for above.
Kim by Ko
Manfredo/Hernandez OVER.

Can't believe sportsbook.com opened Marquez at +170. What a steal.

Good luck guys.

Oh, yeah, I also think Foreman has a decent shot at upsetting Cotto, although I liked his chances more when Steward wasn't in Cotto's corner.

witth the exception of mares(which i`m still considering...don`t like his tendency to punch wide and he`s unproven in long, hard fights as this will assuredly be) )these are the plays that i have made...not all straight...i hate laying odds....mares/perez over looks solid...

i played the under instead of kim by ko because the prop wasn`t out(and truthfully, the guy is a little too easy to hit)...he should win,though...much as i love graham,i don`t think diaz is capable of becoming a boxer for this one...he looks like a pocket banger in every video i`ve seen of him....doesn`t look like the footwork is there...he loads up an awful lot...

this fight(given marquez/vasquez collective wear and tear) has the potential to be the real sleeper this weekend..as long as it lasts.....

manfredo/hernandez not going over would surprise(odds mandate a parlay situation for me)...

was looking for a marquez inside prop...

glad to see another knowledgeable new capper in the fold...

g.l.,dude...
