Very surprised. Thought Andrade did enough. But he has slowed down. 2008-9 he probably halts Pryor. Pryor showed mettle and got through being roughed up. Good on him and those that grabbed him.

I don't think Pac will have it all his own way.

I think you're exactly right, first four rounds it will be a good fight. The longer it goes the less chance Mosley has. Mosley will come to fight.

of course mosley has a chance

he's actually coming to win unlike a clottey

this should produce fireworks, and a fight that will not go the distance

prime pac is too much for a game but outgunned mosley

Prizefighter Bracket

Prizefighter Bracket

Here's my bracket selection:

Perez over Manswell
Tony over Orlov

Sprott over Fields
Airich over Bot

2nd round:

Perez over Tony
Sprott over Airich

Final:

Perez over Sprott

I'll tip the favorite, Perez to win it all, with Tony as my back-up.

I've got wagers on Airich, Tony, and Perez - some parlays, some straight.

Bot has been inactive. His comp. has been dreadful. Little power. Airich tires, but he comes out fast, which should serve him in the first round.

Daniel Geale

Daniel Geale

I'm big on Geale over Sylvester.

German location taken into account, I just think Geale is the better fighter. He has not fought the toughest comp. though, and this will be difficult for him.

Sylvester has been a thorn in my capping side. I've gone against him a few times, and lost. Then I take him against Karmazin and he can only muster a draw. Not a big Sylvester fan, and I'll be happy to see him get beat here.

I just have nightmares about betting on fights in Germany. I remember weasel saying, years back, he would never do it again, and I have similar feelings. Not too up on either guy, but Sylvester appears to have seen the better competition though. But if you polished up the crystal ball last nite, I may take a nibble.

Kameda wins, Nicaragua ?

Kameda wins, Nicaragua ?

Koki Kameda defends WBC 118lb title via TKO11. Scoring a knockdown in the 8th, Kameda kept up his assault, battering Diaz for 3 more rounds.

Can't find Nicaraguan results anywhere. Maybe the bouts didn's happen?

This Nicaraguan site should have results IF the fights happened:

I will miss the afternoon action today, but I agree with Quanah.

I am on Geale in Germany. He's the better fighter of the two, from what I've seen. He will have to make it very clear, something I think he is capable of.

For the Prizefighter tourney I am on Sprott and Perez. If Fields wins this tourney, I'll piss myself. NO WAY.

On Showtime tonight, I have UNDER 11.5 rounds (hedged with Shane first 3 rounds).

I was ringside for Mosley-Mora. Shane was dreadful. No balance, legs in quicksand, a punch every 90 seconds, nothing in between. He couldn't pull the trigger - looked very diminished that night. Worthless after nine minutes.

I think he has this amount of time tonight to get it done. After that he is fuked. Shane will never quit - one of the true warriors left in the game. But the ref or corner will stop this bout after sustained punishment late in the fight.

Shane did look amazing at the weigh-in. But so did Sugar Ray Leonard when he fought Camacho.

Best of luck everyone.

Pavlik-Lopez

Pavlik-Lopez

Even though Pavlik has become the "illustrated man", and has managed to transform a good career into a pile of poop, looking at Lopez's quality of opposition, I see Pavlik winning here on instinct alone. I think he puts Lopez to sleep.

I only say this as this isn't the fight most fans really want. Mayweather is the real opponent for Manny. And why would'nt Mosley take this? Nothing to lose really as far as stature goes, and a truckload of money. I grew weary of hearing about the Manny Pac "sweepstakes". Or maybe I'm just too harsh, but from the love fest going on between these two guys, I just see this as a revenue generating affair, for everybody concerned. PPV is $64.95, not the usual $49.95. So lets hit the fans over the head, why not? If you saw Katsidis-Guerrero, you'll know the type of matchup I feel is legitimate. Guess I am soured on high profile mega fights, due to all the greed that runs rampant. I also noticed Manny did not want to fight Marquez again. Hmmm?

On this fight in general, I think you maybe better of with the over or Draw. In close fights that should go the distance, those are in general "saver" bets, especially with the favorite boxing at home...

I know my off the wall analysis is not always appreciated, but I fell the need to share it anyways. Maybe compulsion would be a better word.

It is my personal belief that this fight is nothing more than a Ballet. But imo, even if you think this fight is legit, Manny's intentions should still be pretty clear.

Mayweather beats de la hoya by decision, they have manny ko him

Mayweather KO's hatton, they have manny dispatch him more convincingly

"They" need this fight so that they can say Manny is the GOAT. I personally believe that Manny winning by stoppage is almost a fore gone conclusion. They would not put this fight on if they felt there was any chance of him not doing that.

This fight is about introducing Manny to the world at large, and not just boxing fans. The hype they have been doing for this fight has been of an altogether political kind. I don't think it's any secret that Manny will be running for president of the phillipines in 2013.

Bob Arum has gone from exploiting people of color within the boxing sphere, to exploiting (or "promoting") them on the world stage. I think what is at stake here really transcends the money that will be generated from the fight, I think it even transcends "money".

If Manny becomes the President, whoever controls Manny is the president. Now, I'm not saying bob arum is some mastermind, he is just manny's "handler". Manny has a lot of "handlers".

This is not to mention the fact that Bob Arum is promoting both fighters here. Shane Mosely knows exactly what he is being paid to do, he obviously doesn't mind playing the "game".

Does anyone else find it rather odd that ever since the negotiations fell through mayweather has been hit with all kinds of absurd legal charges. Arrested and charged with grand larceny for stealing an iphone, really? Just the other day there was http://www.courthousenews.com/2011/05/06/36383.htm. Who the fuck cards floyd mayweather in vegas? the guy is being blackballed.

With all that said, if manny wins the fight too easily, it won't look sexy, people will just say shane was old. This has to be definitive. The fight with mayweather will never happen and they need to make it look (atleast to the public at large, not boxing fans) that manny stopped shane while he was at his best.

I'm putting bets down on manny to win in rounds 7-9 and 10-12. I'll be going heaver on 10-12.

Individual bets on manny to win in rounds 10 and 11.

manny needs the KO here so people will be able to respect him as a president. There can be no talk of manny being too nice here. People need their leader to be able to whats necessary when needed to. Bob Arum is just a director in a play where the concept of "duality" is acted out. Manny is his "little princess" who tonight has to transform into the 'black swan".

Holyfield/Neilsen U9.5 -150 (quintuple pop)

Neilsen, who has not very good in his prime, comes off a decade layoff to show off his gigantic mantits in front of his home country. Most of his fights a decade ago were 8 rounders. He just came off a surgery. He looks like he is about 65 years old.

Holyfield, who looked AWFUL versus Tank Williams and quit on his stool is also taking this fight only for money. As much as I love Evander, he has been shot for the better part of a decade. If Neilsen has ANYTHING, he has a chance to KO Evander.

I just cannot imagine that Neilsen does NOT come out flying (or his geriatric version of it) trying to get Evander out of there. If this does not work, expect him to quit on his stool as I would expect him to be breathing quite heavy by RD3 or RD4.

Why bother taking the punishment if this is a one shot deal?
