This is the type of shit I can't stand....No big deal with the opponent being replaced. Should still be an interesting bout with Byron Mitchell ( I still remember him NAILING Calzaghe in the 2nd round).

But this is a HUGE problem for those of us who played the UNDER 8.5 for Shumenov-Berrio, at a certain site I won't name.

Now any money bet on that fight is held up for 60 days ! ARGHGHGHGHGHGHGGHGHGH!!!!!!!

STUPIDEST SPORTSBOOK RULE EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!

That bites. I didnt play it but I know the feeling. Still waiting for a parlay to close plus just getting my play back on Ustinov. Another nameless site is still holding my dough on The UK hvy fight that was cancelled last week. 2 sites are holding money on that fight. Props to Thegreek for calling no action just 5 mins after I gave them a ph call.

Berrio out, Mitchell in

Exciting light heavyweight contender Beibut Shumenov (7-0, 5 KOs) was to fight former world champion Alejandro Berrio (28-5, 27 KOs) this Saturday in his Shumenov?s country of Kazakhstan. Berrio is out now and former world champion Byron Mitchell (27-4-1, 20 KOs) will step in. The bout is still scheduled for 12 rounds and for the vacant International Boxing Association light heavyweight title,WBO Asia Pacific light heavyweight title, WBC Asian Boxing Council light heavyweight title, and interim PABA light heavyweight title. The bout will take place at the Stadium Khadjimukan in Chimkent, Kazakhstan.

Damnit it all to hell.....

You got to be shitting me. I was going with Berrio.

Such crap this is.....I would love to know the reason for the opponent change.
Poor Byron Mitchell probaby has to get on a plane NOW to get to Kazakstan by Saturday afternoon.

I HATE this rule. If a fight falls out, the bet should be VOID. NO ACTION. SIMPLE AS THAT.
If it gets rescheduled in a few weeks, a month, a year....just put a fuking new line up !!!!! How hard is that ?

It doesn't make any sense to hold customers money for 2 freaking months !!!! Especially loyal ones that play every week. Disgusting.

Props to the good books that CANCEL these bets and simply call it NO ACTION. The only LOGICAL, FAIR way to handle it.
For the love of god, holding it for 60 days is INSANE ! It's not a losing bet !!!!!!

My plays

-Dawson in several parlays and straight up. LARGE AMT. Forget about the bs talk about being 100% in rematches. It means little to me. Harding was giving him a lesson up to the pt he got caught. Johnson was VERY CLOSE and RJ got caught by a shot TRVER appeared to have his eyes closed on. Trver never sought out a rematch w/Hop. I'll be SHOCKED if Dawson loses.

-small/med on Williams +180 for the upset over china chinned Hernandez. Would be nice to recoup the losses from the Braitewaite fiasco a while back. I remember playing the under on Williams/Hererra and we were pissed off at him for letting Herrera off the hk to get koed himself to preserve our under pick.

-small/med on the over -175 7 1/2 rds on McEwan/Vera fight. PLEASEEEEEEE don't pull an Andy Lee. I don't see McE getting Vera out of there so I hope he, at the very least, has enough to go rds. :director: Box and move, box and move, box and move!!!! Box and hold works well too.

Totally off topic, but I need something to cheer me up after the Shumenov-Berrio fallout.

I was watching the Froch-Taylor replay on Showtime. Did anyone else notice Froch's girlfriend in the crowd ?

The final press conference for Saturday night?s rematch between ?Bad? Chad Dawson (27-0, 17 KOs) and Antonio ?Magic Man? Tarver (27-5, 19 KOs) was held today at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. In contrast to their original fight, last October, there was absolutely no pre-fight smack talk, though both fighters stated they would come out ahead Saturday night in the HBO-televised card.

weasel brings up a great point here...even for those of us BIG on Dawson
this is an outstanding hedge

just my opinion, but I think Tarver ITD is the only way Antonio can win this fight

If Antonio does bring the fight like he is saying, it could end with a bang either way. More than likely, he goes out with a wimper in his (hopefully) last HBO appearance. Unless they are re-running ROCKY BALBOA.

i grant everyone it`s unlikely...but given tarver`s ability to adjust in revenge fights, you gotta throw a double sawbuck on it...

just to keep solid books like 5 dimes and the greek on firm footing...i don`t mind throwin` em a bone every now and then.......

I thought about hedging and I agree Tarver's ONLY chance is to land a big shot that takes out Dawson, BUT then I was just reminded that none other than Buddy McGirt will be in Trvers corner...I just might play Chad ITD. Eddie Mustafa seems to think he's going to stop Trver. :00x32

I totally agree Ghost. Luckily sportsbook.com just refunded my bets for Berrio +400 and the Under 8.5-145 in this fight. Too bad it cancelled I thought Berrio had a good shot a the late KO here. :(

Marco Huck vs Vitaliy Rusal

Marco Huck vs Vitaliy Rusal

Does any one have any insight or predictions on the Marco Huck vs Vitaliy Rusal fight? I know nothing about Vitaliy Rusal except what boxrec says and I watched the marco huck Vs. SSS Cunningham, but that's about it.

I know very little about Rusal. There is some grainy footage of him on youtube, shot from a ringside observer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ge5PGqX0zc

Rusal fights out of the K2 stable. Huck's coach thinks it will be a tough fight:
http://blog.thesweetscience.com/2009/05/05/captain-huck-to-meet-rusal

Huck will probably get him out of there, but knowing nothing about Rusal - this is a stay away fight for me.
