what do you think the line will be for Ortiz-Maidana

Ortiz -300?

I think that's about right. Maidana will be LIVE...I think. Maidana is going to want to test Ortiz in deep waters. I don't believe Ortiz is going to blow him out like he's been doing recently. Ortiz is going to be tested and I expect the winner to have a tough time finding a willing next opponent. I'm stoked for this one. Glad HBO is going to show despite Rocky not living up to the name and declining the replacement opponent.

I wonder if they will have odds listed for the Linares fight this weekend
This guy was a star in the making and has just fallen off the planet...

Ghost,
you have a pic of Malcolm Classen by any chance? He's fighting the other "Ghost" in Aug and I think he could be a live doggy. I don't think Guerrero is the real deal...very beatable fighter at the top level IMO.

Also, does anybody have an acct w/BetPhoenix?
I called them up a few mnths back but have yet to make a deposit. They have been hounding me with emails and ph calls to put down some dough..Just wondering if they are reputable.

I'm really getting screwed not being able to take advant of opening odds. Sportsbetting is sleeping on boxing again this week. This is going to cost me a bundle in the long run. Any help with other sites would be appreciated. I cant access sportsbook and affiliates.

sportsbetting a no show again!

I just sent them another email...no response last weekend.

I finally just got some tape of this kid Lontchi that is fighting JuanMa Saturday. I watched him fight Santos and Carbajal.

REPORT CARD:

The Good: Fast Hands, Good Stamina, Great Body Shots (throws the majority of his shots to the body)

The Bad: Likes to Mix It Up, No Power, Very Hittable, Rests On The Ropes, Will Take 1 to give 1

Conclusion: This kid is in for a bad beatdown. He gets hit a lot. And I'm not sure how durable he is. He does have very fast hands. But I get the feeling, when he starts one of those flurries, he is gonna get knocked cold by a straight right hand or an uppercut.

I think that 5.5 Over/Under is set EXACTLY right.

Linares Vs. Perez Under 8.5-130 - Large
Linares has the power and the talent to outclass Perez. Perez is in way over his head and doesn't have the experience to handle Linares pressure.

3-Parlay Jimenez-500+Foreman-340+Vanes-350 (=+100) - Medium

Bakhtov +380 - Small
Value play. Kretschmann is making a big step up with facing Bakhtov. Bakntov has faced the better opposition and will apply a lot of pressure which the Kretschmann hasn't see yet in the pros.

Good Luck guys! :)

I dont know, Kretschmann doesnt seem to be the sturdiest kind of guy, he certainly looks pretty stifff IMO and Bakhtov has shared the ring with some good guys, whereas Kretschman has been in with very soft opposition.

I dont want to discourage you Romi and I'm not sure if I will play Bakhtov, but I wouldnt be totally shocked if Bakhtov pulls this one off.
(Kretschmann will probably win, but I dont see much value in him.)

Who are these good guys that Bakhtov has shared the ring with? Saul Montana? Sinal Sam?

Bakhtov made the pathetic Sam looked like Joe Frazier. He made JC Gomez look like Ali.

I think Kretschmann is going to smack the journeyman Russian.

I hear what you guys are saying and I agree Steffen Kretschmann should win the fight. I just don't think he will. Denis Bakhtov has a pretty good chin and Krestchmann's chin is questionable. Krestchmann was stopped in the amateurs by Michael Bennett and Alexander Alexeev, who admittedly are better punchers, but maybe it doesn't take a whole lot to take Krestchmann out. He has fought the tomatoest of tomato cans. We will find out friday. :)

Fair enough....good luck bro.
:toast:

I just watched an interview on boxingscene with Lonchti.
The interviewer asked him to "describe his style" (for the American audience that hasn't seen him)

His answer?

"I have no style. I have no boxing style. I just fight. When he punches me, I try to punch him more."

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

This might be a problem for him Saturday.
