Yup, at +3 I think the under is worth a pittance here. I could see a cut, or certainly Wolak wearing Moore down.

Good luck Matt! I've got really similar wagers.

:toast:

Thanks Quanah :0008 and good luck to you too! We both could use some of it this week.

Lesson Learned the hard way!

Lesson Learned the hard way!

Just a heads up to the rookie cappers who don't already know this fact. Last week I put the maximum wager on Librado Andrade @ +600 with a internet sportsbook. I knew the lines were reversed, but I was greedy and I made the play anyway knowing the sportsbook would most likely cancel the wager with "no action". Well, they cancelled the wager and returned my bet, so I thought no harm done. Wrong. Now even after apologizing to them and telling them it won't happen again, the maximum wager I can make on boxing or mma is just $10 permanently. I remember another capper writing about a similiar experience last year, but I didn't listen. So let that be a lesson to you guys who see a line that is too good to be true. It is not worth it because the sportsbook will catch their incorrect line posting and then we pay the price for their mistake. I learned the hard way, but you don't have to. :(

I've seen this a few times. Also remember at least once a fight still on the board when the result was in. Best to stay away here, as I've heard from a number of sources that the linesmakers will catch this, and don't like it at all when wagers are knowingly placed...but...you really didn't do anything wrong. The line was there. You didn't post it. For their own sake, the books have absolutely got to get this right. They are hard asses, and do not return your wager when you go the wrong way by accident - and this has happened to me at least once - so maybe the reverse should hold true. I definitely don't think it's fair for them to punish you with a $10 limit for a first offense...

In the future maybe contact the book, and respectfully request a bonus for your honesty...

Weekend Plays

Weekend Plays

I took a shot on the Under in the Wolak-Moore fight for reasons matt broke down well.

I used Alcoba, Wolak, Aydin in a few future parlays.

I think Aydin has a chance to stop Dan. Aydin is a bit under rated I think - people were hard on him after the Ouali fight, but that was a pretty good win looking back. And this fight is in Turkey and, more importantly, Dan has never fought at 147. Big step up in hostile territory.

Alcoba, I just hope, is not like the last South America import, Saldivia. But after watching some youtube footage of his fight with Carrera, I think Alcoba should get by. Munoz is pretty shitty.

I'm just hoping none of these guys Carlos Tamara's me here.

I stayed away from Napa tomorrow on SKY. I think he wins a decision, but I thought he won last time and they didn't give it to him. And after reading Graham's preview, I see Napa has the crowd against him again. I saw Napa as low as -185 today, but NO PLAY for me.

Still looking at Saturday. Good luck guys.

Good Idea! I will contact the book next they f-up up a line. Not too worried about it since there are plently of good books to get action, but I do think a warning or temporary reduced wager limit would of been more justified than a ban ($10 wager limit is essentially a ban to me).

Anyways, on to the fights right! :box2:

"the bunker"
i`m curious...has anybody ever made an incorrect wager(wrong side/incorrect amount)and contacted the book right away to have it changed?....

i`ve never done it...are they usually amenable to correcting a bettor`s mistake if contacted promptly?...

i remember years ago for ncaa bball, i wanted to bet on some other game before so i called the greek and they canceled bet for me

but the line hadnt changed, i believe i also canned a tennis bet to throw on something earlier at the greek and they did it for me

but i dont do it anymore, i rem the lady telling me she'd do it this one last time :mj07:

for last superbowl i was putting bets really late and accidentally took the saints and under prop, i wanted the colts, this was at 5dimes, i im'd them but couldnt get it changed, the clerk had to ask the line manager, and he said no cigar

it looked fortunate, too bad it was a parlay with other bad plays :mj07:

just seems a little hypocritical if they didn`t honor a prompt alert to a mistake(say within 5-10 minutes)...yet punitively punish someone taking advantage of a bad line....which is their mistake...

well,they`re bookmakers,i guess...ethics isn`t their stock in trade...

NO, They are not!!
I once bet on the wrong fighter and contacted the book 30 seconds later and they still gave me major league shit, telling me this would be a first and last.

I contacted 5 dimes at least twice in regards to having a line posted after fights had ended.
The goodwill I was shown was to be banned the first time I argued about a shity grading.

The books don't give a shit about you unless you are a consistent loser.
I have had books limit me to $10 wagers due to winning too much.
I wonder if they ever limit guys who have lost thousands :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

Rant over!!! On to boxing!!!

I am betting on Green to beat Vanes at +275.
Green is pretty quick and skilled.
In my opinion, Vanes is a bit overhyped.

With Green and Troy Ross, I'm wishing a doggie bites.

Good luck lads!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

The Greek is the book that can change a wager if line still did not moved. At least it was a year ago.

Geez, nearly everyone is picking Foreman. Would expect the odds to fall even more by fight time. Does anyone like Cotto here except for me? We'll see what happens...
