Just a spectator this weekend. I see little value in anything. This is THE quietest week for me on the yr. Took a small scalp earlier on Green/Briggs and that is probably going to be it for me. Thought about + odds on Uze but not overly impressed with the guy. I think he'll need the ko to beat Shu. The way Shu looked v Campillo, he may get it. Good Luck!

Very slow week, some small bets for me but nothing major...

The only bets that are worth mentioning are:
Hall late round Ko and in addition I was able to get some nice draw odds on Hall vs. P. at +6000 that are worth a play from my point of view... the same for the Sumenhov fight, but at +3000 it offers less value...

Regarding Dean Harrison/Nigel Wright* Under 8?
I agree with the board, that it should happen but as those odds just a small play for me.

Good luck to the Crew.

Cheers

"the bunker"
shumenov looked the better, more complete guy on film....but the other "ov" really pole-axed campillo...that was no flukey knockout....he`s slow and a bit ponderous but persistent.....he can punch...

tempted to put something on shu at -140....my other out has it at -175....

Nobody believed you anyway :mj07:
I am with you on Hall for 1u.

Yeah I wouldn't think so :142smilie. It was either place a wager on something or break out the methadone to calm the shakes :mj07:

Congrats on the win ODF and all Hall backers :toast:

Powers should retire!

I dont know if he always used to talk like that or if he's just tired, but it sounds a bit like he's damaged goods already...

Blames it on injuries and says he was told it was a 6 rounder, not an 8 rounder

Shumenov-Uzelkov Info

Shumenov-Uzelkov Info

from 15 rounds.com:

"Another factor that could play into how tonight?s card plays out is the weather. The boxing action will take place outdoors in a specially constructed stadium instead of the cozy indoor bingo hall as is the norm. According to Weather.com, it will be 95? in Lemoore at the 6 PM first bell. Add in the bright ESPN2 ring lights and conditions inside the squared circle will likely be less than comfortable. By 8 PM, when the main event is scheduled to begin, the forecast predicts an 89? temperature."

from boxingscene.com:

WBA #2 mandatory challenger Vyachelsav Uzelkov (22-0, 14 KOs) will have a hard time tonight against reigning WBA light heavyweight champion Beibut Shumenov (9-1, 6 KOs) dealing with problems both in and outside the ring.
In what can only be described as a ?Soviet 175 lbs championship?, Uzelkov won?t be assisted by his regular coach Vitaly Vdovkin and cutman Dmitry Luchnikov, who is regarded as one of the best in his profession across the former USSR. Both Luchnikov?s and Vdovkin?s visas were detained by American embassies in Moscow and Kiev respectively without any explanations even though a trainer and a cutman prepared all the papers in time. Luckily, former multi-time Ukrainian amateur champion Sergey Gorodnichev had an effective American visa and will assist Uzelkov in the corner tonight. He has already landed in America. Team Uzelkov is currently looking for a new cutman.
Moreover, according to Ukrainian?s representatives, they weren?t offered an interpreter, while an access to control scales was offered to Uzelkov only hours before an official weigh-in; that has resulted in Ukrainian being forced to starve before scale watch just because he didn?t know his weight for sure.
However, Team Uzelkov is reportedly ensured in the final outcome of the fight and is getting ready to punish Beibut Shumenov for all these controversies inside the ring rather than outside it.
