another crazy weekend all this action AND ufc on sunday.after 1 bad weekend i hope to jump back on.

small bets.

diaz +300. has looked very bad as of late. hope marquez hits a wall.at plus 300 i think he has a shot unlike most people.still small tho.

juarez +250. has fought the better opponents and i like the odds.

guererro/casamayor u 8.5 +205 such inactivity for cas. just lookin to cash a check i think.i see a ref stoppage.

medium bets.

george/rodriguez/guererro/bika..almost even odds.i had to find a way to work fridays fights into some action. i like all of these fighters to win but they all have long odds -1100,-800,-550,-340.. didnt want to lay that juice.

jacobs-200. have seen alot of pirog backers around but hes in usa and on other guys promoters card. i see jacobs winning a fun to watch fight.

linares/juarez u 9.5 +300 im not sure linares gets juarez out of there if he wins it'll be by dec buti can see juarez catching him and at plus 300 i couldnt say no.

bika/mendy u 8.5 +185 bika hits hard and mendy is older i like the plus 185 here.

george/sierra u 6.5 -180 both have lots of ko's and sierra's been out twice..

good luck everyone

am i reading right?...no bika/mendy on the main card?...appears this will be an action fight with real drama...

think i`d rather see that than guerrero vs a past-his-prime casamayor....

Well, here go's.

My biggest weekend of bets in a long time :scared

Sierra to beat George at +600. I watched George last fight and he couldn't get out of the way of punches. He was getting cracked left, right and centre. I will take a chance on someone with 20 KO's in 21 wins against the version of George I witnessed.
I also think George is skilled enough to dummy this guy in a round so it's a small bet for me.

Castillo to beat Arce at +400. I don't get these odds?? They are both faded fighters but Castillo was a far superior boxer who I think would have been highly favoured in their primes.
Has he slipped that badly???
Medium bet for me.

Mendy to beat Bika at +320. I think Mendy is faster and is a Southpaw. He seems to have stamina and a pretty good chin.
He is getting older so maybe Bika overwhelms him but I'll take a chance at those odds.
Medium bet for me.

Casamayor to beat Guerrero at +450. I fucking HATE this bet. I thought the odds would have been much closer and I would have unloaded on Guerrero as I think Casa is shot.
BUT, it wasn't too long ago that Guerrero was 2 weight divisions below this and struggling with guys Casa would have killed. Casa also gave JMM all he could handle and the fight was even on the cards heading into round 11.
I think the books have hooked a square fish on this fight and are about to drag me out of the water :mj07:
Medium bet for me.

Jacobs to beat Pirog at -140. This is my biggest bet by far and Jacobs either proves he is special or he's a dud. I'm betting he's special.
Pirog looks the goods, is a cracking body puncher, has a great workrate for 12 rounds and is a good switch-hitter BUT it seems to me that most of his best wins have come against older, SLOWER, 154 pounders.
I believe Ishe is a better 154 pounder than anyone Pirog has faced and Jacobs had a badly damaged hand during that fight but still pulled it out.
I don't think that the Mayweather shoulder roll with the left hand low is going to work as well against someone as fast as Jacobs. I won't be surprised to see him get dummied with right hands that he normally avoids.
Jacobs is ALSO a wicked body puncher. Maybe Pirog's workrate won't be as good when he is actually being hit by a big middleweight.
This is only his second fight outside Russia and the first time was basically a home fight in Germany.
This is his chance to shine on the big stage, who knows how this will affect his nerves.
GBP is looking at Jacobs as their future star. Don't expect any favours for an unknown Russian on their promotion.
Huge bet for me.
I have also bet Medium on Jacobs by KO.
Hedged with Pirog on points at +400 and a draw at +2500.

I WILL NOT bet on Rocky. He is the second most frustrating boxer to bet on next to Ishe Smith as he refuses to let his punches go until the later rounds when it's too late.

I have had a strong feeling all week that Diaz beats JMM.
I don't bet on feelings :mj07:

Good luck gang!!! :toast:

Both HBO and ESPN will be airing the Marquez-Diaz weigh-in live at 5:45 p.m. Eastern.

not sure if this means the websites or the TV channels, but this is good news....Golden Boy finally getting it....the weigh-ins are important to us

Friday picks

Friday picks

Lot's going on this weekend, so I'm gonna take this day by day. I'm disappointed that no line was offered for the Ennis-Rosado fight. This would've been my pick of the night, and one of my best for the weekend. I would've taken Rosado. Let's see how it plays out.

George-Sierra UNDER 6.5 (-120) - smallish Got some nice early odds on this one. I don't think Sierra's chin is as bad as one round loss to Miranda says, but I do think this will be a firefight. I have to think George will club him down before this time. 6.5 can go quick, so I stayed relatively small here.

Rodriguez-Theophane OVER 8.5 (-250) - small Also stayed relatively small here, because that's alot of chalk to lay. Theophane's better than people think, and he's never been stopped. He gave prospect D.Garcia all he could handle and then some. I see a 10 round nod for Rodriguez, but he won't have it as easy as some suspect.

I also offered up a few beers on Theophane and Theophane W10. Don't think it will happen, but if Theophane is able to get inside and rough Delvin up, there could be a big surprise. My guess is 7-3, maybe 6-4 for Delvin.

Bigger stuff tomorrow!

I've never thought much of Rodriguez. Star Boxing made a HUGE deal about the fight in South Africa with Hlatswayo and what a robbery it was. But I scored both bouts they fought for the South African. Rodriguez is tough, but limited and very hittable.

I don't like that the fight is at 47 though. That's gotta favor D-Rod. Theophane is most effective at 140.

D-Rod UD

I hate laying a price like this on a prop, but I will chop off my left nut if George-Sierra goes the 10 round distance.

Prop is -425 at 5d...WILL NOT GO.... and I am on it....not straight, but I will parlay with Zbik and JMM

10 bucks gets you about 7 back
:0074

Still looking over tomorrow...this an overwhelming card just with the number of fights....not to mention the props.....

one thing that's pretty strange is that they have Baby Bull by decision as a higher price than Baby Bull by KO....I don't think Diaz wins, but if he does I sure as hell don't think it will be by KO

Marquez may be slowing down, but he is ALL TIME tough
The guy went 24 with Pac and 12 with Floyd....I'll be damned if this version of Juan Diaz stops him....NO WAY.....not saying Diaz can't hurt JMM (he did the first fight), but stunning this guy and finishing him....two totally different things....Marquez is one of the toughest SOBs ever

"the bunker"

good post,g.k....

this i think was off,though..

""If there are dark circles around their eyes, you know they are in trouble. I call it the raccoon look.?

Jones and De La Hoya had that look before their fights with Tarver and Pacquiao. Byrd did not have it before the George fight. """

i don`t know what this means.....byrd looked like he just stepped out of a george romero movie...maybe thee single scariest weight cut i`ve ever witnessed in boxing...didn`t need to have raccoon eyes...he looked like olive oyl on a 30 day fast...

this(the article and the difficulty of the first fight)is why i`m biting small on diaz......the logic is sound....

in truth, marquez is soooo much better...

but,who knows... pushing toward 4-1....why the hell not...it`s not like the first fight was a cakewalk...it was one of the great comebacks of the last few years...
