Caps -150 - I thought this line would be much higher. This is the best possible first round match up for the Caps as they tend to dominate Carolina.

Losing in doubles overtime of Game 7........Sometimes life really sucks




Sometimes it is better to get swept then to lose a double overtime Game 7 contest, man that hurts. Then again look what happened to Vegas, now that really suckskurby

Yup, it totally sucks, but I would make the same play every time. I hedged out of a lot of the exposure but still a bad loss. Actually, I am not even that upset about it. The Canes wanted it more and completely dominated the game after the first period. No need to analyze or make excuses as the Caps simply did not deserve to win.

Oh well, we move on. I love NBC's coverage of hockey as it is truly top notch, but I will say I am very disappointed in their coverage of the Vegas debacle. It was obvious that they were told not even to mention the controversy and they stuck to the script. I always liked the honestly of the prior players in the coverage, but I hated the fact that they held their tongue about a truly embarrassing situation. Another example of the NFLication of the NHL.

They likely have even more issues as my guess is that they may see the worst ratings ever moving forward in the playoffs given the teams that are left.
