sorry if anybody saw this in cisco`s thread.....i thought it desrved it`s own space.....

disgusting video from cnn...just when you believe the mainstream media simply can’t debase themselves any further, they pull something like this....airing a terrorist propaganda video showing the killing of u.s. troops:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/...deo/index.html

(if the link doesn`t work, just go to cnn.com...it`s on the FRONT PAGE)..

CNN) --"The graphic video of 10 sniper attacks was obtained by CNN —"through intermediaries"..(lol) — from the Islamic Army of Iraq, one of the most active insurgent organizations in Iraq.

In one scene, U.S. soldiers mingle among Iraqi civilians on a city street as a U.S. Humvee with a gunner in its turret stands guard nearby.

From a distance, possibly hundreds of yards away, a sniper watches for his opportunity to strike as a fellow insurgent operates a camera to capture the video "for propaganda purposes""......

for propaganda purposes?....cnn knows it’s “for propaganda purposes,” and they gleefully put it on their front page anyway?...

"the story needs to be told?"...sure, the story 'needs to be told', because just like in the tet offensive, the media is allying with the enemy to bring america and its allies down....it's only a short time to elections, so of course showing the killing of OUR SOLDIERS, islamic death porn in other words, is justified in their twisted little minds.....

aren`t these the same folks that refused to show video footage of 9/11?.....wouldn't want to show anything that could upset people now, would we...i guess some "death porn" is more worthy than some others...

the media thinks its ok to show "some"americans being murdered, eh?....

somebody let me know when its their heads in the crosshairs, that I'll watch......spit....

Funny, I don't recall your outraged commentary about the 500 different videos shown on CNN and everywhere of various bombs and missiles blowing up houses and villages and hospitals and schools and the power grid. One of your favorite terms, 'moral equivalence', comes to mind.

Remember when the 'shock and awe' started in 3/03? That was cool. Seeing the infrared crosshairs just seconds before some shit is vaporized. Just like a video game, really.

Stay the course, brother, stay the course.

spytheweb...errr,i mean kosar...

please pay attention...or you`ll miss the point yet again...

there is a point beyond which reporting is no longer free speech but actually advocacy and abetting of enemy efforts....

this type of reporting is pure treason, imo, and those behind it should be prosecuted and punished severely.....

this isn`t some generic file footage of bombs going off..this is up close and personal....footage of our boys being shot...much like the head chopping videos....

this is like shouting fire in a crowded theatre....it is intended to weaken our resolve.....

where are the videos of our soldiers killing the insurgents or blasting them to smithereens?..up close and personal.....i haven`t seen them....

and i think it`s legit to wonder if these films weren`t set up and filmed by cnn stringers....this is after all, the network that that DID NOT report atrocities in iraq under saddam, lest they lose their office space in baghdad....yet,they feel the necessity to show american soldiers being shot....under the bogus banner,"truth on the ground"?.....

that doesn`t bother you?...the hypocrisy?....the ghoulishness?...

a few questions for you (for a change)...

1),explain to me why you think the media thought it was inappropriate to show the mohammad cartoons that caused all the ruckus.....but,it`s o.k. to let some poor mother see her son`s head blown off on cnn?

2)or,let me put it another way...do you think that they`d show one of their own reporters being butchered?

truth on the ground?....pfft.....

now i finally understand why many posts go way over your head...

Would you prefer we see footage of the soldiers raping the 14 year old girl, murdering her and her family, and burning the evidence? ...Or perhaps go the Fox News route and pretend nothing is happening over there at all?

You do realize that footage like this generally makes people more hawkish, don't you? So if CNN is using it as anti-war propaganda, that will backfire. I'm certain that if it was Fox showing it, then you wouldn't even make a comment - your attitude would likely be "See, that's what's happeing over there. Everyone needs to see what these animals are doing to our troops." But since it's CNN your all "...new level of depravity" and shlt.

You are being selectively outraged over this, but I can see right through your rationalization.

Doesn't surprise GW--Aljazarri (spl) and liberal media been quoting each other since the war.
Hellen Keller could see they have same agenda--UBL/Alquada said we didn't have stomach for it and their U.S. news affiliates are trying to help them out.
The chickens will comehome to roost--saw today on news NBC and their cable affiliate are cutting 700 jobs because of poor viewing ratings-was tickled as maybe GE stock can advance after sheding some of its excess baggage.

sooo..no answers.....like talking to a magic 8 ball...or a telephone pole....

you bring up moral equivalence...where there is absolutely none to be found...you know that....

cnn is presenting it as showing that these guys have our number... "we have to get out, it's the only way to save our troops".......

if we were the monsters,we`d have had no remorse in leveling iraqi towns, killing that fat bastard al sadr and exposing the iranian influence...it would have been saddam-style messy....,but, this 'insurgency' would be long over with...

moral equivalency...lol...

maybe it`s still over your heads....

let me tighten it up even more.....

my beef with the media is the double standard.....why do they do it?....i`d say that the swift and sudden disposal of all video concerning 9-11 was designed, i believe, to minimize the event, to purposely obscure facts, and to placate the population into making us feel that everything was really o.k... when it obviously is not....

that the threat was a one-time thing, and no need to be fearful of it happening again.....

it was an act of subduing the population so they would not fight back......i believe the cnn footage is also used to convince us not to fight back...

not opposite, but rather the same objective....

simpler?...flash card level explanation?

9/11 is viewed as helpful to bush by msm...

soldiers dying is viewed as helpful to dems by msm.....

the best thing the dem/msm daisy chain could hope for is the slaughter of 300 or so troops.... TODAY.....

it would set back the iraq war effort and could be played to destroy the bush administration.....

the dems would dive in like pigs in shit....

that make sense?

you probably never saw them on cnn,but I remember the pictures of crying marines as they freed little children from dungeons......

of the parents weeping hysterically as they came to claim their kids....i remember a whole nation voting twice in definace of death merchants, with more courage in their purple fingers than in the bowels of all the cnn`s of this country.....

venal, evil agenda driven media hacks.... petty in their hatred of those far better than they are....eager to damn millions to another era of torture and prisons, just so they can can gloat and say, "i was right..my agenda wins"....

and now as american soldiers die they use it as a club to beat the hated bush.....

americans,they are.....and that disgusts me...

.

It's priceless the way you scatter so many topics.

Are you actually saying there hasn't been enough footage of 9-11?

And just to again clarify, are you also saying that Fox News is NOT mainstream?

they`re conservative...no doubt...but on this topic, they`ve been even handed....no 9/11 videos...no film of head chopping of innocents or american soldiers being slaughtered as the media stands by......no mohammad cartoons....

cnn and their ilk are undermining our country....the effort in iraq...intentionally...

some interesting reading would be north viet.
gen. vo nguyen giap`s book "how we won the war" .....

in his book, he clearly indicated that nva troops were without sufficient supplies, and had been continually defeated time and again.....

by 1968, nva morale was at its lowest point ever.......the plans for tet was their last desperate attempt to achieve a success....when it was over, general giap and the nva viewed the tet offensive as a failure, they were on their knees and had prepared to negotiate a surrender....

the vietnam war was about to end, the nva was prepared to accept their defeat....

then, they heard walter cronkite on tv proclaiming the success of the tet offensive by the communist nva.... they were completely and totally amazed at hearing that the u.s. embassy had been overrun.....

the nva had not gained access to the embassy, there were some vc who had been killed on the lawn, they hadnt gained access....and then came the riots and protesting on the streets of america.....

according to giap, these distorted reports were inspirational to the nva....they changed their plans from a negotiated surrender and decided instead, they only needed to persevere, eventually the protesters in american would help them to achieve a victory they knew they could not win on the battlefield.......

history keeps repeating itself...

i just thank god we didn`t have this media on d- day....

That's a book all the Neocon's like to point to. Thank God brave Americans took to the streets and stopped that travesty in Vietnam before more boys died for nothing except corporate gain. It's happening again and the Neocons can feel the pressure building. And they know if Bush doesn't control the Congress they won't be able push much more of this crap.

So, if not for CNN and their "ilk", do you feel we would be winning? And again, what exactly constitutes "winning"?

Okay, I guess this over my head, as you say - but aren't you contradicting yourself with your entire point about this video? On the one hand, you complain about a video being shown of terrorist snipers killing American troops - but at the same you complain that not enough video is shown of Americans and westerners being attacked by terrorists. ...I'm just not understanding your position on this at all. Please elaborate - and feel free to make as many speculative connections to a broad media conspiracy and enemies within and general decline of civilization as possible.

Thanks for revisiting D-Day. Anymore useless comparisons to make?

Classic, another tough talking war supporter that does not want America to see what you support. Why do you displace your outrage on the media ? The media did not come up with this great game plan and the execution of this ground war. Where is the outrage for the people responsible for putting our troops in this position ? Yes this story needs to be told. This is a free country and if by seeing this video, some Americans are moved to have this madness stopped, that's how our system works. If someone sees this and wants to stay the course that the way our system works. Why are you so afraid of the reality and the truth of war. This is a political war and moves are being made on all sides before this election. You talk about things being over others heads, we don't get the point. You are right some of us don't see it the way you do. Thank God for that . There is hope ! There is no disgrace in retreating from a battle, to come up with a better way to win the war. You should save your spit for the faces of those that refuse to admit they were wrong, and continue to throw good lives after some unrealistic, improbable, impossible , idealist dream. I seem to remember, in the early days of this Presidents run for the position he holds, he said : we will not be in the business of nation building. Before you wet your pants and start screaming about terrorist and Sept, 11th, we know. We also know that our targets on the ground in Iraq are not making us safe here at home. When will you get it ?

because i believe this borders on treason......

the very article states that cnn acknowledges it`s "for propaganda purposes"....

yet,cnn still puts it on the front of their website....

i wannna know at what point do we start bringing treason charges against people who are clearly aiding our enemies? ...

article 3, section 3 of the constitution states, "treason against the united states, shall consist only in levying war against them, """"or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.""""....

cnn, in this case, clearly seems to be helping to distribute propoganda videos produced by our enemy......they don`t dispute that...

this to me seems to go far beyond the pale. ...it is one thing to disagree with the policies of your government....it is quite another to express that disagreement by aiding the enemy. .....

you`re just like rosie o`f-cking donnell.....saying on her show that"christian fundamentalists are worse that the jihadis"....lol

the analogy i made in the other thread holds true....let her kiss her lesbian girlfriend on say,the streets of kansas city....then try the same on the streets of tehran......

their(and your) solution is perfectly clear..and it mirrors what happened with the liberals and the media in viet nam...

cut & run, let the terrorists have it, let the sunnis & shia slaughter each other, let the kurds secede so the turks & syrians & iranians invade...

i know,we shouldn`t have gone in...we KNEW there were no wmds.....right.....

why then,if the all powerful evil geniuses of bushitler and karl rove lied about wmd in iraq, how come they didn't manage to arrange for arriving forces to find some?....

i mean, they were so clever, planning 9-11 months before the 2000 election to help justify a war in iraq for oil, using wmd`s as an excuse, yet they forgot to plant the phony evidence?......

deaf dumb and blind...

later,your cluelessness...:sadwave:

I don't follow Rosie like you do,but she may have a point. Their are dangerous extremist in both camps. I would say that anyone that would kill someone because of their sexual identity or bomb abortion clinics or snipe doctors and kill judges in the name of god is an extremist and side by side with the jihahis.

Why can't anyone talk about a different way, a new solution, without people like you talking about cutting and running ? This is not the 60's, we can't bring those guys back with the deaths of our troops in this war. Are we going to make up for our mistakes in Vietnam with the same mistakes in Iraq ? If anything, history should have taught you and this administration something. What happened when we pulled out of Vietnam that was so bad ? Unlike you , I'm beyond why we went. The question is what do we do know. This can't last the way it's going. What do want to do ? The way it's going , I will tell you how it will end. We stay the Bush plan and we keep getting troops killed until we get to that magic number and then we pull out. You are the terrorist expert, so you should know that there is no battle in this war on the ground in Iraq that will end this. These guys have nothing else to do until the end of time. You can't fight terrorist with conventional means. You will never see a white flag. Bush must believe in God, He's going to need a divine intervention. Time is running out on this President, do you think he wants to leave this mess for a Democrat. Every good Republican knows that the left is soft on terror. So why doesn't Bush step up and be a leader. Do something bold, bomb the ****ers or pull out. Staying the course, going to bed praying for an intervention is worse that cutting and running.
