Rockets beat Hornets 118-106, run win streak to 9 games
March 11, 2019
By The Associated Press

HOUSTON (AP) James Harden scored 28 points and Eric Gordon added 22 as the Houston Rockets cruised to their season-high ninth straight win, 118-106 over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night.

A night after Gordon ended a streak of 43 straight games where Harden led the team in scoring, the Beard was Houston's top scorer again. But Gordon had another strong outing, making five 3-pointers for the third straight game and the fourth in five games.

The Rockets won despite a big performance by Kemba Walker, who finished with 40 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists as the Hornets lost their second in a row.

THUNDER 98, JAZZ 89

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Dennis Schroder scored 24 points, Russell Westbrook added 23 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, and Oklahoma City beat Utah to sweep the season series.

Westbrook appeared to argue with fans of the Jazz, who knocked the Thunder out of the postseason last year.

Paul George chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds. Steven Adams and Jerami Grant added 12 points apiece.

Donovan Mitchell scored 25 points for Utah, which shot just 36 percent from the field. Royce O'Neale added 17 points while Rudy Gobert had 15 points and 12 rebounds.

CLIPPERS 140, CELTICS 115

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Lou Williams scored 34 points and became the NBA's career leader in points off the bench as Los Angeles beat Boston for its fifth straight win.

Williams came into the game needing 28 points to pass Dell Curry, who had 11,147 points when not starting. Williams surpassed Curry with 9:53 remaining in the fourth quarter with a driving layup.

It is also Williams' 29th career game with 30 or more points. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, starters and reserves were tracked in box scores beginning with the 1970-71 season.

Terry Rozier led the Celtics with 26 points while Jaylen Brown added 22 and Kyrie Irving 18. Boston had a three-game winning streak snapped as it was trying to become the second Eastern Conference team this season to win all four games in California.

NETS 103, PISTONS 75

NEW YORK (AP) - Spencer Dinwiddie scored 19 points and Brooklyn routed Detroit to move into sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

Allen Crabbe finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Rodions Kurucs scored 13 points, and Joe Harris and Caris LeVert each added 12 as the Nets took control early in the game and never let up.

The Nets (36-33) won their fourth straight and leapfrogged Detroit (34-32) into the No. 6 spot in their final game before leaving for a seven-game road trip.

Andre Drummond led the Pistons with 13 points and 20 rebounds. Blake Griffin finished with 10 points, but only shot 1 of 10 from the field as Detroit was held to its lowest point total of the season. The Pistons had their five-game winning streak snapped.

CAVALIERS 126, RAPTORS 101

CLEVELAND (AP) - Collin Sexton scored 28 points, Kevin Love had 16 points and 18 rebounds, and Cleveland routed Toronto.

Toronto's Serge Ibaka and Cleveland's Marquese Chriss were ejected for fighting late in the third quarter. Ibaka went to the floor after the two were battling for position under Cleveland's basket as the Raptors attempted a full-court pass that sailed out of bounds.

Ibaka shoved Chriss from behind and grabbed near his neck before throwing a punch. Chriss responded with a punch before players from both teams separated the two. Ibaka immediately headed for the locker room and both players were kicked out after the officials conferred.

Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points after sitting out Sunday's victory in Miami, but his return didn't help the Raptors, who have the league's second-best record.

WIZARDS 121, KINGS 115

WASHINGTON (AP) - Bradley Beal scored 21 of his 27 points after halftime, helping Washington beat Sacramento despite twice giving back double-digit leads.

Beal added nine rebounds and nine assists for the 11th-place Wizards, who moved within 3 1/2 games of the eighth Eastern Conference playoff spot currently held by idle Miami.

Jabari Parker added 18 points off the bench and Bobby Portis had 17 points and 13 rebounds as Washington began a five-game homestand.

De'Aaron Fox scored 23 points for the Kings, who started Monday four games back of three teams tied for the last three Western Conference playoff spots.

Tweet of the Day
?It?s a long season. And we?ve been playing a lot of basketball for five years now, so you?re not going to be perfect for 82 games ? we?ve had too many missteps ? but at the end of the day, that?s the first time we?ve lost to that team in 19 games. So it?s ugly but ? I expect our crowd to be little more into it, too. Like, I know it?s not the playoffs, but it is our last go-around at Oracle. Least you can stand up or something when we make a good play, especially in the beginning. We need that energy, especially this time of the year. It?s hard to conjure up energy every single night ?cause you?re looking forward to the playoffs and that run.?
Klay Thompson

Tuesday?s quiz
Which college basketball conference has the most teams?

Monday?s quiz
There are ten Canadian provinces.

Sunday?s quiz
Antonio Brown played his college football at Central Michigan.

*************************

Tuesday?s List of 13: Nobody asked me, but?..

13) ESPN started a new show Monday, from 6-7pm: Daily Wager. It looks pretty good, an information-driven program that follows gambling-related and daily fantasy stuff.

12) Phoenix Suns closed as a 17-point underdog against Warriors Sunday night, then won. It is the largest upset in an NBA game since March 6, 2016 when the Lakers upset Golden State as a 17.5-point underdog. Those are the only times in the last 20 years that an underdog of 17+ points won SU.

11) Detroit Tigers? 1B Miguel Cabrera pulled the hidden ball trick on a runner Monday. What do you say to a major leaguer who falls for that?

10) Since 2009, when one team beats another twice during the regular season and then meets them again in a conference tournament, they complete the 3-game sweep 72% of the time.

9) Toronto Blue Jays used a 4-man outfield against Bryce Harper over the weekend, with no third baseman; will that be a trend this season? Turns out it didn?t matter where the fielders were, since they walked Harper both times he came to bat.

Tampa Bay used the 4-man outfield against Harper on Monday, too.

8) After trading Antonio Brown over the weekend, Steelers have a cap hit of $21M for his contract this year, which isn?t good.

Over the last seven years, of the 14 NFL teams that had a WR with a cap hit of $15M+, only one of those 14 teams made the playoffs, the 2016 Falcons, and they at least had Julio Jones on their team that year. Brown is a huge cap hit, and he?s playing for Oakland.

7) Detroit Lions signed four players Monday, three of whom are ex-Patriots. Problem is, none of them is Tom Brady, so not sure how much they?ll help.

6) OT Trent Brown bolted New England and will sign a four-year, $66M contract that includes $36.75M in guarantees with the Raiders, making him highest paid OL in NFL history.

5) Landon Collins signs with the Redskins, gets $84M for six years, $45M of it guaranteed.

4) Nick Foles get $88M to QB the Jaguars for four years.

3) College basketball teams that have fired their coach:
? Fairfield, Niagara in the MAAC
? Southern Illinois
? SIU-Edwardsville, Tennessee Tech in the OVC
? Mercer
? Troy State
? Kennesaw State, Stetson in the A-Sun
? Cal Poly
? UCLA
? Temple (technically he is retiring, but they forced him out)

Bottom line on coaches getting fired is this: Bracket Week and the NCAA tournament are great fun for us, but if you?re a coach and you don?t make the NCAA?s, your job is in real jeopardy.

2) Duke?s Marques Bolden, averaging 9.5 mpg, is out for the ACC tournament.

1) FOX is making a big deal about signing Urban Meyer to its college football coverage, but Meyer has been on TV before, and he wasn?t good. Meyer was humorless doing games on ESPN, I almost felt bad for the guy. Not sure how coaching at Ohio State changed any of that.

Inside the Paint - Tuesday
Chris David

The NBA has seven games on tap for Tuesday, which includes a double-header on TNT. Favorites went 4-2 both straight up and against the spread last night but for the second straight day, we saw a big underdog connect. Cleveland cashed a 7/2 money-line ticket (Bet $100 to win $350) with a 126-101 outright win over Toronto at home. One night earlier, bettors saw the Suns stun the Warriors 115-111 as 17-point underdogs and some lucky bettors hit money-line tickets as high as 13/1 odds. More upsets are possible tonight as four of the games have point-spreads listed at nine points or higher.

Let?s break down the card.

New York (13-54 SU, 28-37-2 ATS) at Indiana (42-25 SU, 33-33-1 ATS)

The first game on the board looks like a mismatch on paper and the oddsmakers agree, opening Indiana as an 11 ?-point home favorite over New York. The Pacers have won five straight (3-1-1 ATS) against the Knicks, which includes a 3-0 mark (1-1-1 ATS) this season. Bettors could be hesitant to back the ?chalk? knowing the Pacers are 4-5 both SU and ATS in the second-half of the season and they?ve dropped three of their last four. After winning back-to-back games against the Spurs and Magic at home in late February, New York has dropped six straight (1-5 ATS) games and four of the setbacks came on the road. This is certainly a ?get-right? game for Indiana, who has racked up a 30-9 record against losing teams. As a double-digit home favorite, the Pacers have gone 6-1 SU and 3-3 ATS while the ?under? has gone 5-2 in those games.

Cleveland (17-50 SU, 31-35-1 ATS) at Philadelphia (42-25 SU, 32-35 ATS)

Another chalky matchup here as the 76ers are laying double digits (-15) to the Cavaliers, who are coming off a surprising 126-101 victory over Toronto last night as 8 ?-point home underdogs. Cleveland has only won back-to-back games three times this season and it?s struggled to a 3-9 mark on no rest but they?ve turned a profit for bettors with a 7-5 ATS mark. Cleveland did win its last game in a back-to-back spot, which was a 107-93 win over Orlando on Mar. 3 as a six-point home ?dog. Make a note that all three wins in these situations came at home. The Cavaliers did surprise the 76ers on Nov. 23 as they captured a 121-112 win as 13-point road underdogs. Philadelphia avenged that loss less than a month later with a 128-106 blowout win at Cleveland.

Milwaukee (50-17 SU, 39-26-2 ATS) at New Orleans (30-39 SU, 34-34-1 ATS)

Tough game to handicap here as Jrue Holiday (abdominal) and E?Twaun Moore (quad) remain ?out? for the Pelicans while Anthony Davis continues to play limited minutes. The Bucks won the first matchup between the pair on Dec. 19, taking a 123-115 decision at home. Shootouts have been a common theme in this series and the ?over? has cashed in five straight and eight of the last 10. The total on this game opened 237 ?. Milwaukee is off a loss and just lost two games in a row for the first time last week, falling to the Jazz and Suns. The Pelicans started off the second-half with a 4-3 SU and 6-1 ATS record but they?ve dropped three straight entering this game.

L.A. Lakers (30-36 SU, 25-39-2 ATS) at Chicago (19-49 SU, 30-36-2 ATS)

If there was a ?pass? game on the board Tuesday, then this is it. The Lakers have gone 2-7 SU and 1-8 ATS since the All-Star break and they enter this game on a five-game losing streak. Meanwhile, Chicago has gone 1-4 both SU and ATS its last five games. The Bulls won?t have their top player Zach Lavine (knee) and the Lakers have been playing short-handed for a while now, with Brandon Ingram (shoulder) becoming the latest to join the injured list. Kyle Kuzma (ankle) is ?questionable? for Los Angeles tonight. The pair met on Jan. 15 from Los Angeles and the Lakers captured a 107-100 win over the Bulls as seven-point home favorites.

San Antonio (38-29 SU, 36-30-1 ATS) at Dallas (27-39 SU, 37-28-1 ATS)

The Spurs (-5) will look to improve to 3-0 versus the Mavericks this season when they tip off the TNT double-header tonight at 8:05 p.m. ET. San Antonio is starting to roll again, winners in five straight games and that run was much-needed as they began the All-Star break with three consecutive losses. Dallas was competitive in a 94-93 loss to Houston on Sunday as an 8 ?-point underdog but that was the fifth straight setback for the club. The Mavericks certainly don?t have the same talent as the Spurs but it?s hard to dismiss their record as home underdogs (9-6 SU, 12-3 ATS) this season. The total on this game is listed at 218 and the Spurs have been a solid ?over? bet this season (39-27-1) especially on the road (23-10-1).

Minnesota (32-25 SU, 34-33 ATS) at Denver (43-22 SU, 35-30 ATS)

The Nuggets (-10) are laying a big price and the line will likely go up if Minnesota doesn?t have Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) or Andrew Wiggins (quad) in the lineup, both listed as ?questionable? as of this morning. Bettors could be hesitant to lay the wood knowing Denver has dropped four of its last five games, which includes a humbling 122-105 loss at Golden State last Friday. Even though Denver has been one of the best home teams this season (27-6 SU, 22-11 ATS), it?s suffered two straight at the Pepsi Center and they were laying big prices (-7.5, -13.5). The T-Wolves have won three of their last four games, but all of those wins came at the Target Center. Make a note that Minnesota has been terrible on the road, dropping nine of its last 10 away games. The defense (122.1 PPG) has been a mess during this span and that?s helped the ?over? go 8-2. While that could have you running to back the ?over? tonight, make a note that Denver is on an 8-0 ?under? run heading into this matchup. TNT will provide coverage of this game at 10:35 p.m. ET.

Portland (40-26 SU, 37-29 ATS) at L.A. Clippers (39-29 SU, 39-28-1 ATS)

The other late-night game on Tuesday has Portland listed as a short road favorite over the L.A. Clippers. Head coach Doc Rivers has done a great job with this Los Angeles squad and many pundits thought they were throwing away the season after trading Tobias Harris to the 76ers on Feb. 5. Since that move, the Clippers have gone 9-4 SU and 10-3 ATS the spread. They?re clearly the best basketball team in Los Angeles this season and based on its young core and upcoming cap space, it could be a for a while.

For this matchup, my lean would be to the visitor. The Clippers are coming off a big 140-115 win over Boston last night and they couldn?t miss a shot, connecting on 61 percent from the field. On no rest this season, Los Angeles has been hit or miss (6-7 SU, 7-5 ATS). However, they?ve struggled to a 1-3 record at home in these spots and the ?over? is 4-0 in those games as the Clippers have surrendered 120 PPG.

After dropping two straight games, Portland got back on track last Saturday with a 127-120 win over Phoenix but it failed to cover as a heavy favorite (-12). The Trail Blazers have failed to cover in three straight games after starting the second-half with six straight covers and all of those wins came on the road. Total players should note that Portland has watched the ?over? cash in five straight and the high side is 7-2 since the All-Star break.

Portland has won five of its last six encounters against Los Angeles and that includes three straight wins at the Staples Center. The Trail Blazers were listed as road underdogs in their first trip to L.A. on Dec. 17 as they captured a 131-127 win. For this matchup, Portland is laying two points as of this morning and while Los Angeles defeated Boston last night at a similar price (+1 ?), bettors should note that the Clippers are 2-6 in their previous eight games this season as home ?dogs.

James scores 36, Lakers end 5-game skid by beating Bulls
March 12, 2019
By The Associated Press

CHICAGO (AP) LeBron James had 36 points and 10 rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers overcame a 20-point deficit to beat the Chicago Bulls 123-107 on Tuesday night and end a five-game losing streak.

James played 33 minutes and showed no signs of letting up with the Lakers barely hanging on in the playoff race. He took over after the Lakers' 14-point lead was cut to four with 8:38 left, making a jumper and then on the next possession going through the lane for a thunderous dunk.

James didn't stop there, hitting a 3-pointer over 7-footer Robin Lopez and capping it off when Josh Hart passed the ball off the backboard to James, who finished with a reverse dunk to put the Lakers up 115-101 with 5 minutes remaining.

Kyle Kuzma added 21 points after missing two games with an ankle injury. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 24 points off the bench for the Lakers, who outscored the Bulls 43-24 in the third quarter.

Lopez had 20 points and seven rebounds, and Otto Porter Jr. finished with 19 for the Bulls.

BUCKS 130, PELICANS 113

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points and Milwaukee used a 45-point third quarter to pull away from New Orleans.

Khris Middleton had 23 points, Malcolm Brogdon added 18, and Eric Bledsoe and former Pelicans forward Nikola Mirotic each scored 14 for the Bucks. Brook Lopez finished with 13.

Elfrid Payton had his second consecutive triple-double for the Pelicans, finishing with 14 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and 11 assists. He is the first New Orleans player to have a triple-double in consecutive games since Chris Paul in 2008.

Julius Randle scored 23 points and Anthony Davis had 21 points and 12 rebounds.

76ERS 106, CAVALIERS 99

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Ben Simmons scored 26 points, Joel Embiid had 19 rebounds and made some big plays down the stretch, and Philadelphia held off Cleveland.

Collin Sexton led the Cavaliers with 26 points, including a layup with 3:10 left that pulled Cleveland within one. Cedi Osman added 18 and put the Cavs ahead 97-96 with under 3 minutes to go as boos rained down in Philly.

But Mike Scott responded with a 3-pointer to put the 76ers back ahead. And after Simmons made a free throw and Jordan Clarkson a layup for Cleveland, Embiid followed his own miss with a thunderous dunk to give the Sixers a 102-99 lead with under a minute left.

Embiid, playing in his second game after missing eight straight with a sore left knee, had a block on the other end and then made four straight free throws to seal the win as ''MVP! MVP!'' chants replaced the boos.

SPURS 112, MAVERICKS 105

DALLAS (AP) - DeMar DeRozan scored 33 points, LaMarcus Aldridge added 28 and San Antonio beat Dallas.

DeRozan and Aldridge had identical 11-for-19 shooting lines from the field and combined to go 17 of 17 from the foul line. The Spurs led from the middle of the first quarter on in winning their sixth in a row. Dallas lost its sixth straight and 11th in 12 games.

Derrick White added 23 points and seven assists for San Antonio.

Jalen Brunson scored a career-high 34 points for the Mavericks and Dwight Powell added 20.

PACERS 103, KNICKS 98

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Bojan Bogdanovic scored 24 points and Darren Collison made two free throws 19.5 seconds left to help Indiana slip past New York.

Indiana snapped its two-game losing streak and remained tied with Philadelphia for the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference. Collison finished with 16 points.

New York lost its seventh straight despite getting 21 points from Emmanuel Mudiay and 18 from Damyean Dotson. The Knicks also have lost six straight in the series.

Giants got Jabril Peppers, plus draft picks in 1st and 3rd rounds.

12) Are there any other honest people left? Parents paying off people so their kids can go to fancy colleges. Oy. Just send the kid to a damn state college and tell him/her to study.

Jerome Allen is an assistant coach with the Celtics; he used to work at Penn, and admitted to taking $300K to designate a kid as a basketball recruit at Penn, so the kid could get into an Ivy League school.

The three smartest (whether book smart or street smart) people I know went to these colleges, and I?m posting the colleges in alphabetical order, not in order of how smart those people are:

Albany, Northeastern, St Francis NY

Not a lot of ?elite? colleges on that list. Smart people come from all kinds of schools.

USC?s senior associate athletic director, Donna Heinel, apparently received more than $1.3M in bribe payments to fabricate athletic credentials for prospective students.

Tremendous. Just awesome. Ms Heinel has already been fired, by the way.

11) Monday at the MGM in Las Vegas, a courageous soul made a $310,000 money-line bet on the Raptors (-$420) to win in Cleveland; they lost by 25. Had Toronto won, the bettor would?ve banked a little over $73,800. Tough way to start the week.

10) At the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, Detroit Lions dropped from 100-1 to 60-1 to win the Super Bowl, after their four free agent signings.

9) Teddy Bridgewater is taking less money to be the Saints? backup QB, instead of being the starter with the Dolphins? What does that say about Miami?

8) Monday night in LA, Lou Williams of the Clippers set the NBA?s all-time record for most points scored off the bench, passing Dell Curry. Williams has scored 13,037 points in the NBA, but has started only 11.8% of his 923 career games.

Remember seeing Williams play in an AAU tournament in Orlando back when he was in high school; if I remember right, he played for the Atlanta Celtics? AAU team- they were excellent.

7) Bradley?s path to winning the MVC tournament:
? beat Missouri State by 3; trailed by 7 early in 2nd half.
? beat Loyola, Chi by 2; trailed by 4 with 12:11 left.
? beat Northern Iowa by 3; trailed by 18 with 17:07 left.

6) Texas PG Kerwin Roach will play for the Longhorns in the Big 12 tournament this week, so whatever offense he committed to get suspended for the last five games is forgiven.

Ohio State?s Kaleb Wesson will also be back for the Big 14 tournament; he was suspended for the last three games.

Funny how conference tournaments make suspensions go away.

5) Five years ago, Mercer won the Atlantic Sun tourney, then beat Duke in the first round of the NCAA?s, before losing to Tennessee in the 2nd round. Mercer beat Duke as a 14-seed. In the last 20 years, #14-seeds are 8-72 in the first round of the NCAA tournament- Mercer?s win was a very big deal.

The next year, Mercer moved up to the Southern Conference and in five years since then, Bears went 83-83, 46-46 in conference games. Thats a .500 record in a better league, but Monday, they fired coach Bob Hoffman, the same guy who coached the team when they beat Duke.

Who made this decision? This isn?t UCLA or some other big-money school that expects to make the tournament every year to appease its big-money boosters. It is freakin? Mercer. If you?re Mercer and the guy beats Duke, you give him a 10-year contract and pray he doesn?t bolt your school for green$r pa$ture$.

4) If you care about such things, you can wager on next year?s Super Bowl right now; AFC is favored by 2.5 points, with a total of 57.

3) Oakland Grizzlies basketball coach Greg Kampe played football in college at Bowling Green, graduating in 1978? one of his coaches was Don Nehlen, who went on to an excellent career coaching West Virginia. Kampe was a cornerback, who also kicked/punted.

2) Chris Woodward is the new manager of the Texas Rangers; he went on live TV for a half-inning with the Rangers? TV guys during an exhibition game the other night and he was great. Best one of those interviews I?ve seen. He talked about how a lot of players don?t know all the rules, and how the bench coach for the Dodgers (Bob Geren) ??.is obsessed with rules.? Was interesting to listen to.

1) A?s play Seattle over in Japan in games that count, starting at 5:30am here in New York on both March 20th and 21st; the NCAA tournament starts at noon on the 21st. When the hell am I supposed to sleep?

Preview: Warriors (45-21) at Rockets (42-25)
Date: March 13, 2019 9:30 PM EDT

In the aftermath of a ninth consecutive win, this one over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni allowed himself a moment of reflection, several minutes to acknowledge just how far Houston has come in advance of another showdown tilt.

The Rockets will host the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday at Toyota Center, seeking an improbable sweep of the four-game season series. Of equal significance is the opportunity Houston would gain with a win: The Rockets would close to within three games in the loss column of the two-time defending champs for the top overall seed in the Western Conference.

Houston is 31-11 since an early-season swoon left them three games under .500 a week into December. The Rockets rode MVP-level play from the reigning MVP, James Harden, in rebounding from their early doldrums, and have of late relied on their depth to close the gap on the Warriors. Three months ago, none of this seemed probable, something D'Antoni noted.

"With all the stuff we've gone through, all the ups and downs, starting from 11-14, we're in a good spot and we still have a chance to legitimately make a run for the first spot," D'Antoni said. "That's pretty good in any year, in any scenario, even if we were healthy all year."

That the Rockets aren't solely relying on Harden is important. During his 32-game stretch of consecutive 30-point performances, Harden averaged 41.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists. He has been, relatively speaking, only moderately exceptional during the win streak with averages of 34 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists. Buoyed by a deep veteran cast, Harden sees a team far more potent than the one he was forced to carry through injury and attrition.

"We know our system, guys know their roles now," Harden said. "Defensively, as long as we can lock in for four quarters and hold opponents under what they average and offensively get our shots, we'll live with the results."

That Golden State has left the door ajar for the Rockets comes as a bit of a surprise. Their 13-2 run just prior to the All-Star Game break allowed the Warriors to grab the top spot in the West, but they are just 4-5 since with two blowout losses plus setbacks against three teams with sub-.500 records (Miami, Orlando, and Sunday against the lowly Phoenix Suns).

The Warriors have shown a tendency to disregard these hiccups and have been routinely blasé following losses to the Rockets. They've been afforded such hubris, for, in the postseason, the results reflect their unmitigated dominance. However, that doesn't mean the Warriors are completely immune to their erratic ways, especially with the Phoenix loss following a big victory over the Denver Nuggets, nestled between the Warriors and Rockets in the standings.

"Frustrated," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said describing his team. "Frustrated with our play, with ourselves, just our approach. So, we all feel it.

"I think the Denver game was a better indicator of what we're capable of, and then to so quickly get off track one game later, that's very frustrating and that's something we've got to correct. We've got to build some momentum; we've got to build better habits. We've got to stay connected emotionally, and it's the only way it can work."
