So you have Verdasco and CILCIC above, but you have these straight:

Nothing sexy here..just winners.

Svetlana -195
Tsonga -320
Novak -250

WHICH WAY ARE YOU GOING?

Bound...

Those picks were posted Thursday night for quarterfinal matches that were played that evening. I don't really see where the confusion lies.

These picks are all for tonight's finals. Tsonga is facing Youzhny, Kuznetsova has Radswanka and Djokovic gets Cilic all in finals. Two of these are at China, one at Japan.

Shanghai Masters

Hewitt +155 over Monfils
Melzer +550 over JDP

Taking two chances here, would not be surprised to go 0-2 so follow at your own risk...

Delpo retired after one set....he lost the first....does that mean you win on the big underdog Wayne?
If so....great call....

Ghost, unfortunately my book requires that a full two sets are played or the bet is voided. While that stinks here, it has helped me in the past so I cannot be too mad...

Even tough you didn't cash it, still an excellent call on Melzer.
Apparently, Delpo not interested in playing tennis this week.

Great job Wayne - thanks for continuing to post. I respect your tennis opinions greatly.

Soderling -110 over Tsonga

Tsonga's one Achilles heel has been his ability to overcome big servers. He suffered recent losses to Gozalez, Isner, Guccione and Karlovic. These losses make one think that this is not a good matchup for him. If Soderling's serve is on, he'll win this.

Ljubicic +230 over Monfils

Monfils has started badly in three of his past four matches, having been broken early against Wawrinka, Tsonga and Hewitt and been forced to play catch-up. He's then been broken/under pressure on his serve at various stages of all three matches. Against a high quality server like Ljubicic that could prove fatal. Fatigue is also an issue for me. Monfils has played 13 matches in 23 days and that has to eventually catch up with him.

Soderling won 63 63
Ljubicic won 62 30 ret'd

Second straight day I have a stake in dog of +225 or higher whose opponent has retired while down a set. :mj16:

Question for the forum. I live in the States so my options for a good book are somewhat limited. I have heard very good things about a book (not sure if I can name it) whose name rhymes with live mimes.
Especially when it comes to tennis. Anybody out there have any other recommendations? I am frustrated with my books tennis rules..

Thanks

live mimes is GREAT....I use them all the time for tennis and boxing
you will be very pleased with lines they have....for almost every match on the tour they have game props, over/unders, etc.
during the US Open this year, they had live betting for almost every match
When I tail some of your posted plays, I always do it at 5d
its the only book I use for tennis

I am not sure, but I think 5d would have graded last night's Monfil retirement as a win for you....they have different rules than other books....kick might know....

5dimes is a madjack sponsor so yeppers you can mention it:)

It is one of the best books out there, not many better. As for tennis it is the best. Every possible line you could think of and can parlay anything. Also have lines on Challenger events. There isn't a better book out there for tennis.

As for their rules:

Wagers have action once a ball is served, regardless of the date the match/event is started or completed. Matches delayed by rain, darkness, or other circumstances will not be voided. These matches will remain pending until their completion.

A "Walk Over Winner" (player concedes before a match) and matches which do not complete the first set are graded no action. Any match concluding after the first set is completed will be graded with the advancing player as the winner.

First set proposition wagering has action if the first set is completed. Other props involving the match are no action if a participant resigns/concedes during a match. The moneyline on the match itself is the only wagering option that is not considered a prop.

Djokovic -400 over Simon

This is ALOT of juice, which I am not happy about laying, but Djokovic has been clinical as of late. He has won his last 7 matches, taking 14 of 15 sets. Past encounters on hardcourt show that Djoko has never had it easy against Simon. This should be another tight, hard fought match, most likely going to 3 sets. Simon, for the most part, was very solid against Berdych. But he was always going to prevail because you could see the difference in mental strength and willpower between the two.

In this match, I feel mental strength again is the prime determining factor (all those 7-5 3rd set wins can't be a coincidence) so I have to go for Nole...

Stepanek +1.5 sets -110 over Davydenko

I am not sure why I continue to oppose Davydenko as he proved to be in scintillating form lately. The main reason I am opposing Davydenko is the following comment made in the wake of the victory over Gonzalez.

"I won't be that heartbroken if I don't make London. Like my wife said already - 'You are already Top 15 this year. Why do you want to think about London?'...I'll enjoy a holiday if I don't reach London. You can lose your mind worrying and lose in every tournament in the first round."

Admittedly I am counting on the fact that Davydenko does not repeat his form against Gonzalez and instead is starting to perhaps think about "that holiday with his wife"....

Note on Davydenko.

Way back "in the day" I roomed with Davydenko, trust me when I tell you this guy would play a tourney every week if he could. He is a robot, just goes and goes and goes. Now I never met his wife, but something tells me he'd go nuts if he took a vacation for more then a week. In fact him making London may now motivate him. He might be thinking "Shit, I need to make it or I'll have to spend more time with my wife":142smilie

Oh and ummmmmmmmm next to maybe F1 drivers, top tennis players get tons of quality pussy. I never met a top 300 player that had an ugly chick, never, I mean never. Don't believe me, look in players box when a player is playing. Always a hot chick in there, always.

Sadly........I never reached top 300..........FUCK:142smilie
