I really hope he goes to the Saints. He will be nothing that a medicore QB @ best for that franchise in the direction they are going.

ML will end up being a QB like Bledsoe, good but definately not great. He will have his #'s & the kid has a good arm so he wont fail as long as he gets a a semi-decent situation.

He isnt half of Carson Palmer. In 5 years he will be mentioned in the same breath as Heath Shuler and Jim Drunkenmiller. His arm strength isnt there, and NFL teams actually can defend the slant which seems to be the only pass he even throws all that well.

Despite already having graduated, you decided to stay and grandstand for a while and continue the circle jerk with your boys.

You obviously didnt go to college, because if you did you would understand the how incredible one more year actually is.

Dont get me wrong, I am NOT a Leinhart fan, but knocking him for LIVING THE GOOD LIFE for one more year??? Cmon man If you wouldnt do the same you're the circle jerker

First off, I'm a University of Michigan graduate, class of 2000.

On Leinert, I suppose the being the #1 pick isn't the good life? He is a grandstanding punk, and I can't stand the fact that idiots suck his ass for "being so selfless by coming back". He stuck around to party and see his mug on ESPN. Don't think NFL GM's didn't notice.

btw, nice call on the Fiesta Bowl.

Most scouting services have Leinhart even after the Rose Bowl going anywhere from 2-12 as there are many teams that have garbage at the QB position. One thing to remember on Bush, Young (if he comes out) or Leinhart is that never in their careers agin with they play on offenses or teams that are as dominating as the teams they just played on which can skew their actual abilities. One of the better scouting services compares Leinhart to Steve Walsh whom played for the Canes and was a bust in the NFL but a superstar in college. Personally, I think Leinhart will be a average QB in the NFL that will be a decent QB on a good team such as Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer but will not be able to make a bad or average teams into a winner or in other words not a guy that will be a difference maker. Personally, I like LenDale White and think he has NFL superstar written all over him!

A Michigan fan talking smack about the Irish. LOL - Why don't the skunkbears actually win a game againt ND and then we could talk. See you in South Bend next year...

I would have stayed at USC... Before the Rose Bowl they were the hottest team in LA. They don't have to compete with a pro team in that huge market. I'm sure he was having the time of his life. So he goes in the top three instead of being the first selected.

No its not a good life compared to being the quarterback of the football team that won 34 straight games, in Southern California where there are finer women than you see in your porn per view.

PS he saw more a$$ there in one week than you saw in 7 years at michigan pal.

Good call in the fiesta bowl? MICHIGAN has NO RIGHT to talk crap after being BLOWN AWAY by double digit dogs. Go regroup for next year chump

Hey Derek,

Is Getting laid in L.A worth 5M? I hope so cause that's what a year of doing bongs, getting blasted and banging all the tuna just cost this guy. He is going to get a rude awakening now. Like I said for the older guys, think Paul McDonald.

First of all, probably wont make that much less money, and even if he does, he will prob crack $100 million before he turns 30, so whats $105??

He has the rest of his career to make $$$ in the NFL, but you can only go to college once.

If anything it shows a TRUE LOVE FOR THE GAME, because he would rather lead a team than go hold a clipboard and wear a baseball cap every Sunday afternoon.

In an NCAA forum we should be praising guys for making the decision to stay, and giving back to the game of college football.
What have we come to that now a HEISMAN trophy winner gets CRITICIZED for playing another year??
Pisspoor man

Derek,

Before last years draft, where did you think Aaron Rodgers was going to go? What if that happens to Leinart? He didn't go back for love of game. He went back for love of Booty. Not a bad reason but in retrospect...................The booty will always be there.

comparing Aaron Rodgers to matt leinhart is comparing apples to oranges

No doubt there isnt that big a TALENT gap, but media hype, the spotlight of playing at USC, and the "streak" are enough to inflate Leinhart's draft value. Not saying he is light years ahead of Rodgers in talent, but his media meter is enough to make up for it.

PLUS, why are NFL teams in the business? For W-I-N-S. Leinhart went 37-2 as a starter, the guy knows how to win.
ONE LOSS DOES NOT ERASE 34 STRAIGHT WINS, AND A 37-2 RECORD.
---ESPECIALLY when the team was in position to win and he wasnt the one who blew it. The whole nation was watching that game the other night, scouts, NFL teams, owners, EVERYONE. Theres no secret about what happened and it wasnt Leinharts fault. NObody will penalize him for going 37-2 instead of 37-1 . Get Real

Derek,

As far as the winning percentage is concerned, take a look at the following QBs

Jay Barker
Gino Torretta
Ken Dorsey
Stephan Lefors

All super winners in college who are now stiffs or at best back ups.

Thats the first indication you made a good point, when your opponent has to resort to name calling. Especially when its an online forum :mj07:

Guess rethinking the reality of Nebraska beating Michigan shut you up huh? You got BIG BIG cahones to rip on ND after Michigan's season PLUS the head to head loss AT HOME!!

And PLEASE, dont ever compare your life at U of M to Matt Leinhart's at USC ever again!
