Another fine day there, kick! And the Fed Express got past a dangerous opponent with relative ease.

Oh, and joz....the world of women's tennis is littered with mental midgets. Personally, I haven't felt too many "comfortable" leads when wagering on the chicks. Let's just say that if Kuzzy were to blow that today, I would have considered it a mild meltdown compared to some others I've been on the wrong end of, and/or have simply seen.

Huge doggie doubles win, although none of my books offer odds on those matches.

----------------------------------------------------------
Serena Williams, on losing to Svetlana Kuznetsova at the French Open: "I had an opportunity, and I got really tight, and I pretty much gave it to her. It was like, 'Here. Do you want to go to the semis? Because I don't.' She was like, 'OK.' "

Sammy takes a deliberate approach to each opponent and is worth a consideration vs. the Russian TANK.

S.Stosur vs S.Kuznetsova SStosur +270

Is there a bigger mental midget then Kuznetsova? Anytime shes in a position to win a big match she chokes it away painfully

The Russian starting to crack again

I think the tank will beat Safina.
Just a hunch.

I need a miracle so Fed doesn't win the french.
Go Del Potro; if it doesn't work, try to break his shin on the changeovers.
Or kidnap his fiance.
Whatever it takes.

Hate to go against your parlay, kick, but in the name of money I must go with what I feel and that is the following:

Soderling +105 4 units (sizable wager for me)

You beat Ferrer, Nadal, and Davydenko in successive matches on clay, in a GS event, and you simply deserve backing at these odds.

While it seems that Soderling's work here at Roland Garros '09 has simply been cast aside as a fluke/aberration by many, I strongly disagree. I went back and watched pieces of his two previous matches and saw nothing remotely lucky about his victories. It wasn't about just catching guys on an off day....the Swede took it to them! As publicized, Robin's new coach this year, Magnus Norman, has totally transformed his attitude and demeanor on court. The result has apparently unleashed his full potential, of which he always had loads of. Despite not the greatest results so far this year, I believe everything just started to "click" for him this week, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Soderling continue to ascend the ATP rankings this year.

So, with this wager I'm choosing to look past the big Swede's spotty past and rather go with what he is currently displaying on court, which has been downright impressive. Gonzo is a wonderful talent, right at home on clay, and will undoubtedly be a stern test for Soderling. But if he brings the same form and style of play he has displayed this week, I just don't see his incredible run getting de-railed here.

Good Luck to All,

-JC

After the first two sets, Soderling was -800 live betting
He was -300 after losing set 3

Now down 3 to zero in the 5th, Gonzalez is -800 !
