Nice leap to get to that conclusion. It's to be expected though from someone who would use the term "Fudgepack Mountain" and still expect to be taken seriously.

You seem to be filled with hatred. I can only suggest you turn it towards people who CHOOSE offending behavior (i.e. those who abuse welfare, drug addicts, xtians, racists, etc,).
BTW, I find it hilarious that people are using belonging to the boy scouts and little league as the most heterosexual of activities. Along with the Catholic Church, those are the most likely places for your child to encounter his first homosexual. Of course, he's already encountered his first closet case at home.

There's a reason it's called homophobia (fear of homosexuals). Maybe this will enlighten you and help you understand yourselves better.

obviously, in your moral code, you disapprove of hypcrites

should i make some ridiculous comment and insinuation about maybe you think that "God sent a hurricane to New Orleans and that it should all be chocolate" (or some other incoherent statement) just because you have a moral code disapproving in some way of hypocrisy?

I honestly don't know what you mean.

You get your "moral code" from your belief in the bible, and that's fine...
...I was simply saying that "some people" who get their 'code' from the same place as you have more extreme ideas (presumedly!) than you.
Me? I'd rather use my own head/judgement than rely on a 2000 year old book...But that's just me.
I couldn't care less what you "believe" (ie. gay people are evil and will burn in hell), but why make a big deal out of it?
Just because you believe something, doesn't make it right.

What's right then, and what's wrong? Obviously every individual believes that they are "right" otherwise they simply wouldn't believe what they do...
...but how very mature (and yes, judgemental, which yes, should be totally against your "code of conduct") of you to come out and 'bash' homosexuality with such a witty title!

Let's move passed the 'hypocricy' aspect then, and we'll move onto irony...

...Does it seem strange to anyone else that the less religious a person is, the more accepting he is of his fellow man?

Even though the bible clearly says that All Men Are Created Equal, the further to the right a person is, the less they seem to believe it.

Genesis 5:1:

"'In the image of God did He fashion him [i.e., man].' All human beings are created in God's image. We all possess a Godly soul, capable of independent thought and action, and of scaling inspirational heights. The focus is no longer on self: I do not love others like myself. Every human being is special and unique; no one has greater claim to divinity or closeness to God. All are equal in the eyes of the Lord. "

We can all debate "MORALITY" but for just a moment what about the awards themselves. Maybe they are good flicks - none of them particularly interest me-but it isnt a coincidence they all won. It would seem it has more to do with agenda than judging the films.

Can anyone truly state the Passion of the Christ was not fabulous filmaking, whether you liked the content or not? Yet it couldnt garner a nomination for anything due to the politics and agendas. Yet the critics said it was too violent while at the same time praising Kill Bill.

Mr Christo those atheists in Hollywood havent been too accepting of Mel Gibson now have they?

It might be an agenda if Passion of a Christ was the first movie about religon and got no awards, and Brokeback Mountain was the first movie about gay people and got tons of awards. Neither of those are true.

There have been tons of gay themed movies that were more graphic (Brokeback wasn't really graphic at all) yet got no awards or recognition, because they simply were not that good, as films.

There have also been plenty of religous themed movies as well. Some, like The Ten Commandments and Passion of a Christ GOT Oscar Nominations (6 and 3 respectively), and others that sucked and didn't get any attention.

So Brokeback Mountain was the first movie with a gay theme that put it all together... that had excellent writing, good actors, a talented director, recognized by critics, and the luck enough to get some hype across the board.

Where exactly is the agenda in that?

PS I have not yet seen the Capote film yet, but I hardly feel the agenda extends to that one either. The lead actor reportedly did an excellent job, as he often has in his movies (phillip seymour hoffman). And the movie was about an American Author who is often credited with some great stories that made great movies as well (Breakfast at Tiffanys, To Kill a Mockingbird etc.)..

"homophobia"? this is exactly another word sabotaged by leftists and used to label people who disagree with an act. If one is against stealing is one cleptophobic? if one is against murder is one "murderaphobic"? Nice way to ascribe meaning.

There is absolutely NO leap to a conclusion using psycodynamic models and behavioral models of learning with sexual behavior. Of course you leftists can use it with any other behavior but when it comes to sexual behavior, they do not apply? What kind of BS is that?

Its an assault on any form of reason and/or intelligence. All you can do is spew your one-word talking points such as "hatred" and "homophobia" which don't have anything to do with anything. I suppose you have hatred to beastiality if you condemn it? Do you hate those animals? Again more nonsense.

This is not a fair comment to lump all religious people together no more than it is to lump all homosexuals as sex mongers. There are examples of both, but they are certainly not the norm, imo.

One idea to take into consideration is just because someone thumps their Bible more than the next religious guy does not make him more "religious".

LOL. You crack me up. According to you, first the entire psychiatric profession was "sabotaged" and now the word homophobia itself is "sabotaged". How do you even sleep at night wondering what the leftists will "sabotage" next?

The word homophobia, whether you like it or not, has come to mean hatred of homosexuals, The fact that it "really" means fear of homosexuals is not a mere coincidence. Your hatred is rooted in fear, plain and simple. You can argue that and refuse to admit it all you want, but it's the truth.

Your other examples are ridiculous and you know it. Or maybe not? :mj07: :scared

I certainly didn't research this or anything, but when the film came out I remember reading a lot that it wasn't the atheists in Hollywood that had a problem with Passion, but rather the jews in Hollywood (and I think everyone knows there is a very strong jewish presence in Hollywood) that did because the viewed the film as anti-semetic.

Did the homos practice safe sodomy in this movie? If it wasn't for sexual relations outside of Gods plan and design(Gods Complimentary design of male and female and limited to within marriage of a man and a woman. We would have no STDS , AIDS, ect. Homosexuality sex not only deviates from Gods plan of Sexual relations reserved for marriage but also sins against Gods complimentary design of man and women. The humanistic worship at the shrine of homosexuality crowd in hollywood will try to promote the devils agenda . I am waiting for a movie about homo priests , ministers, teachers , coaches ect . And their attempt to indoctrinate boys into the homo lifestyle. Love the sinner hate the sin. Repent and be saved.

i agree with most of what sun said.....

as i said in an earlier post i liked capote....i thought it was a very good movie & hoffman nailed down the essence of capote (more so than river phoenix did for the johnny cash movie).......but then again i liked kill bill....thought that was a very good dark comedy......i didn't see passion of the christ....the subject matter didn't interest me....

but we have to remember that the golden globes are handed out by the hollywood foreign press......made up mostly of countries with liberal views pandering to liberal hollywood (who live in their own world)

anybody who doesn't think that these award shows or hollywood, in general do not have political agendas now & in the past is politically blind....

but my feeling is.....i don't care...they are not going to sway me one way or another.....& i think it's going to hurt hollywood in the long run because it is very transparent....

I'll bet all the holy rollers in this thread were sitting there with a hard-on watching the Neve Campbell/Denise Richards gay scene in 'Wild Things.'

I'll also bet that if this was a movie about gay strippers from Crazy Horse Too the response might be just a little different. Maybe it's just gay MEN that are disgusting and bucking Gods will.

Certainly was an issue.

Nut if there is so much power explain it to Steven Speilberg, who cant even get his studio to push Munich for awards since the studio als has Brokeback Mountain.

I have no idea if there is or not, I just remember reading that and hearing that quite a bit around the time Passion came out.

And AR- Yes, it was Wild Things. Here is the link to the IMDB page if you're interested in browsing:

Here's my opinion which I am sure you will all value :). How can anyone of us say what God's will is or isn't? I believe God gave us free will and that everything that happens because of it is in fact His will. Does it mean that we will not have to deal with the consequences from exercising our free will? I say no. I feel we (human beings) will live our lives and deal with the results of our choices. Hollywood, fundamentalists etc. only try to impose their will on others. I feel God wants us all to think it through and do what we feel is right for us.
Do I think it is sexually correct for 2 men to go at it...no. But my sexuality makes me desire woman and I act upon that desire. There are men and woman who stay in their own gender. How can I or anyone telll someone else how to feel? I can only tell them that I don't feel that way. As long as they don't impose their will on others and I do the same then I feel it's all fine. The problems always occur when we try to legislate, condemn, or otherwise impose our individual or collective wills on others. If we feel the subject matter of Brokeback Mountain is possibly imposing than don't go to the show. I saw it and it was well done I am not gay. I think Good Night and Good Luck is a great movie. Am I a Communist? No! I am an American and a child of God who thanks God everyday for the freedom to exercise my free will.

"the bunker"
i thought that everyone kind of overreacted to the hollywood liberal agenda thing....the gay thing.....i mean,it`s pretty openly apparent....

and then i read this morning that "commander in chief" won a golden globe......

geena "chipmunk" davis.....the president..having meetings in the white house with her husband sitting across the table?

hollywood subliminally preparing us for bill and hill?

that`s a bridge to far...lol

seriously...sort of...

look at "munich" and speilberg`s moral relativism....in the movie, israeli prime minister golda meir supposedly authorizes the israeli "response" with a line prominently featured in promotional materials....: "every civilization finds it necessary to negotiate compromises with its own values."....

well, meir never made that statement because she explicitly viewed striking back at terror as upholding - not compromising - civilized values...

"From the blood-drenched history of the Jewish nation, we learn that violence which begins with the murder of Jews, ends with the spread of violence and danger to all people, in all nations,(how prophetic was that statement?)" she explained...... "We have no choice but to strike at the terrorist organizations wherever we can reach them. That is our obligation to ourselves and to peace."

meir`s hard line opponent(menachem begin) was even more pointed.... "Retaliation no longer suffices," he told parliament. "We demand a prolonged, open-ended assault against the murderers and their bases. ... We need to run these criminals and murderers off the face of the earth, to render them fearful, no longer able to initiate violence. If we need a special unit to do this, then now is the time to build it."

and speilberg depicts "the jews"as fretting over the expense of the the operation....that`s amazing...what a stereotypical slap in the face of his own people...

all this indicates that it's utopian liberalism, rather than any form of jewish commitment, that represents the reigning faith of the entertainment elite.....

it`s liberal hollywood revisionist history...

i know a few hardline jews....and they don`t even consider hollywood liberals like spielberg as jews.....

they refer to them as"joos"...derisively...

as far as the gay thing goes..i believe that in 95% of all cases, that being gay is physiological...not psychological.....

we all had effeminate classmates in kindergarten....that`s just how they were...

animals don`t really have a sense of self awareness...and there are documented cases of homosexuality in the animal kingdom, from what i`ve read...

i really don`t think that it`s a choice in most cases...any more than you have a choice to be a fast runner or have blue or brown eyes or are predominantly left or right handed......
