Ghost; I can't forget before DLH-Pac-man I spoke to a bunch of guys, and they, to a man, all said "we know Pac-man CAN"T knock DLH out". And so what happens , Pac-man gets the TKO. Now I only bring this up as betting 4-5 to 1 on Margarito has it risks. Not the same combatants of course, but too pricey, hence the prop bet. A flash knockdown of course shoots this all to hell, but I will run with it, as long as the price is within my parameters. For me, Margarito has a 70% degree of certainty to win this, so parlaying him is still an option. GL to all my BFOM's.

I watched another Margarito open workout vid, and he looks fantastic. I saw him sparring with someone of similar speed and similar style to Mosley, though obviously inferior overall, and it was amazing to see Margarito walk through any resistance and pound him to the body. I was worried that the punishment he took against Cotto would show, but it didn't.

Im waiting to bet this live. I agree Mosley should look good the first 5 rounds, Margo might drop to -200. But then Margo's body work will start to take effect, Mosley will fatigue and his footwork slow down, and so forth.

Weepaul, you've got some balls my man! You're right about attacking Margo's body as a possible KO, though Margo keeps his hands lower than tight guard like Winky let's say, so his body is covered by his lower arms typically. And to throw at Margo's body is an invitation for him to uppercut you in return.

This could be a profitable fight!

Cotto couldn't touch Tony's body, but Mosley will ?

Mosley was content to keep Cotto at bay for much of the fight; in the latter rds he put the pressure a little, but never went balls out when he had him in a bit of trouble.

Mosley knew Mayorga had a big punch and avoided a tear up for most of the fight.

These are two wealthy senior fighters knowing the game.

There's a possibility Mosley comes to survive for the payday, and Margarito might show some respect for the old warrior and cruise to a clear decision.

The value on this fight is the over, and that's where my money is.

The hedge is Margo late rds ko.

fanks, I'm waiting for these Ledermans props as well, Mosley IMO isnt shot yet....

I can see two different scenarios.

1.
Margarito is in prime shape and wears Mosley down for a late round stoppage.

2.
Margarito not at his best having trouble with Shane...and the fight ending in a a reasonably close decision....

Cotto made some pretty stupid mistakes against Margarito.
He really went for broke and landed like 30 or 40 power punches in the first rounds. And he never clinched...thats pretty much the worst strategy against the Tijuana Tornado.

Against Margarito you need to steal rounds and buy time as often as you can....

From what I have heard, I guess Mosley knows thats what he has to do.

The odds for Margarito to win in the last rounds are VERY poor, so I'm going for scenario No. 2.

The MD /SD prop is still available @+757, I also grabbed Mosoley W12 @+700.

Nothing major, but I think there is the value.

over 10.5 rounds is a bit high for me, I would be much more comfortable with over 8.5 rounds at a decent prize.....

Believe it or not Bud but Mosley is versatile and Margarito has been hurt to the body by fighters inferior to both Mosley and Cotto.

Do I think Mosley will win ITD?? NO!!

I don't think Mosley will win this fight but at +1800 I will take a shot on a good bodypuncher.

Who hurt Margarito to the body?

I have never seen him hurt, though I know that he has been down in his earlier fights...

If I remember correctly Santos and Diaz.
I am not talking Mickey Ward type hurt but just enough to take a backward step and a deep breath.

It doesn't mean much but their are also rumours that Williams decked Margarito with body shots during one of their sparring sessions.

I just think punching Margarito in the head is a waste of time as he is like a cyborg but hitting him to the body might slow his progress.

Mosely will HAVE to take a chance and attack Margos body. Theres no way hes going to hurt margo just going upstairs. Mosely NEEDS to get Margos attention to keep him off or it's adios Shane. Shane has an excellent left hook to the body and IF he can land, it's not out of the realm of possibility to stop Margo. Highly unlikely to occur, but I can see Pauls reasoning @+1800. Shane will have to employ a successful body attack if he is to win and he'll need to use it early in the fight. Upstairs downstairs then tie up or get the fuck out of the way... I believe will be his plan. I expect Shane to win some early rds.

Romi,

I am pretty sure your bet is safe. A prime Mosley would have all he could handle from Margarito.
This version takes a shellacking.

This is just a throw away bet for me to make the fight more interesting come Saturday night.

Shane, for all his "power boxing" and benching 350 lbs., he just isn't as heavy-handed as Margarito. Mosley will need to work much harder than Margarito to try and keep the upper hand here. Margarito has height and reach and will be punching down, always an advantage. As in Clottey-Judah; Mosley early/Margarito late.

bodog dropped some very nice props! :)

Here's what I got:

Shane leads after 3 rounds +250

Leader after 3 loses fight or draws +250

I think Shane will be very competetive in the early rounds, I see this as a pick'em, so +250 is really a steal.

Shane +2.5 after 5 rounds
-115
Arithmetically, thats the best of the Lederman round props.

no ko or knockdown +250
I feel this fight might go all the way barring a late round stoppage for Margarito.
No flash knockdowns IMO!
Margarito wears you down, so I think, if he knocks Shane down, he will stop him anyway....

I'm still looking for a decent line on the fight to go some rounds....

If Mosley tastes the canvas with 3 or more rds to go, I feel it will end in a TKO/KO. Once the madman Margarito smells blood, he is a fukin asassin.

I like Shane leads after 3 rounds +250

but I don't like "there will be no ko or kdown"

I think Margarito has a good chance of being the first to stop Shane
more likely its a decision, but Margarito wants to send a message here and is going to be gunning for the KO

Holy cannoli; Am under the limit! Is he in great shape or woefully dehydrayted? Welterweight limit is 147, so Shane is shy by 2 oz.? Wtf. Lest we forget Mosley DID use the juice in the past. Also, he is too brave for his own good. He will try effective agression at intervals during this tilt, only to realize he is in with a monster who can take a punch with the best of them. Shane's heart may be his undoing. I think I'll parlay AM-inside with lil Nog in the Affliction deal. Did the deed. Marg inside+125/Lil Nog-145. Pays better than 2-1.

After seeing the extreme look of confidence on Margarito's face, now I have no doubt whatsoever. Shane is in deep poop.
