ESPN is still running w/ the Les to UM story.

Ann Arbor News' Jim Carty is reporting the Les extends at LSU story.

I'd like to think since CBS is covering LSU's game that they would have some news from an LSU source or something....but nothing yet.

I think Cie was guessing how CWood felt about the news.....Grobe is a good coach.....but to lose out on Miles and Tenuta, makes most of us UM fans pissed.

I was pumped on my run this morning thinking of Tenuta as our DC......If Lester does not come.....UM should just be patient and scour the nation for a search......i would not trust a knee jer 'oh my gosh we just lost Les, we must respond fast' type of reaction......thats what UNC did after Roy turned them down the first time. They were stuck they reached with Dougherty.

Be patient UM......find another man.....interview Schiano, for example.

espn.com just changed thier story on miles.

I did not see that........halftime on the U of Duke-Davidson still went w/ Miles to UM......had not noticed them back off......although I have noticed it not on their running scroll anymore.

If the extension is true, LSU would want to announce this right? Gotta think thats coming any minute now.

Regarding Miles.....a 1:45 press conference has been scheduled, according to the AA News......there's the likely extension announcement.

Back to Ferentz......commence the UM message board melt downs!:scared

Miles is staying. I do not despise Miles as a HC like LABurns. As long as he has quality coordinators, I think it woll be ok. Not great, but ok.

My problem is he allowed this to linger when it appears more $$ was the only thing he needed. I know he is dumb, but if he wins today, his contract triggered an incentive that would have raised his salary to 2.8 million. if he would have won a nat'l title, then his salary would have been 3.5 mil going forward.

If $$ is what he wanted, then why not alert Mich and the media from jump street that he was not interested in that job and focus on winning football games:shrug:

Sorry about the rant.

Miles is a putz, but bring on Tenuta and let's keep it rolling...

I just bummed that Tenuta will not be DC at Michigan.....that had me excited.

Cie, maybe Lesticles had not read his own contract, seems like something he would do.

Cant believe how Michigan was unable to pull this off.....if they're going to throw more $$$ at Ferentz, why not do the same w/ Miles or any of the other extremely qualified coaches across the country.

Ferentz already makes 2.8 million from what i hear. Is he worth more than that:shrug:

I say no way.

Probably not but I'm not sure where else Bill Martin turns at this point.

He has 85 new suites to sell at 90K a year plus 8000 new club seats. A name like Grobe or Trgovac ain't going to get that done.

UM stuck to their promise that they wouldn't speak to Miles until after the SEC title game and LSU cornered him. He was given an ultimatum and he caved. UM should have been there to bail him out

Cie,

Lets get focused. More importantly, how does this, if at all, change the dyanmics of today's game......is Tenn +7 any stronger or weaker of a play?

Just once, maybe they should not act all classsy.....is it that unethical to somehow, someway get a counter offer into his ear.

You're right about Grobe and Trojavec not wowing people.....but a lot of people are downright angry at bringing Ferentz in.....I dont think thats much of a big name either.

Bring on Tenuta, keep Crowton as OC, and just keep the ball rolling.

Gotta a chance to see a LSU commitment at QB last nite. Destrehans QB is the real deal. Have you seen him play?
