I'm sure everyone is watching Gameday.....but for those who aren't they are reporting that Les Miles will accept the UM job and that John Tenuta will come along as the DC.
That had been the alleged hold up.....would the school allow for a bigger budget to allow Miles to hire coordinators.....if this report is true, we know the resolution to that possible tripping point.
First UM alum to become head coach in over 40 years, by the way.
As a Michigan fan, I'm more excited about Tenuta coming aboard than I am about Les......if only they had a better QB option than Reggie Ball, they would have won at least 1 league tite at Ga Tech with his defenses.

You should be. I am dissapointed because I was under the impression Tenuta would be a top candidate for LSU DC job:com:
this is unbelievable if true....& it would be a blackeye on college football in general & saban in particular....

could of swore i read in the paper he had a buyout. Kind of stupid of Bama not to put that in his contract.
The 10 mil buyout is part of the rumor of a potential 10 year 35 million contract with LSU.
Sounds like UM's AD blew the deal and LSU came through with a big extension and an ultimatum at the wire.

As I read your post, the ESPN ticker scrolled the whole Les to UM news......is it wrong that I am more intrigued by this than any of the action on the field today?

I don't want Grobe. My brother wants Tedford. I would like to see Kelly get, he is an up and coming coach plus he would be there for awhile.
i think grobe is an excellent coach. look what his teams do with marginal talent....a team could do a lot worse than jim grobe...
I agree, Grobe is a good coach. I thought he was a hell of a hire for WF. I just don't see him at UM but if he goes that will be ok, we sure as hell could do worse.
not sure, but guessing Cie would be pissed about LSU's retention of Miles, not the hire of Grobe as a UM fan
