Thanks Hedgie.
I get pretty frustrated with these boards. They could be pretty interesting - and I like the chance to hear both sides of issues - both liberal and conservative - it makes all more rounded, and better educated.
But I do hate how a certain group, who I'll admit tend to be liberal in nature, always start with the vulgarity, name calling, and of course, throwing out the race card whenever an issue is discussed.
I't be cool if MJ would just give any member a 3 strikes type policy - if you use vulgarity or insult a member/call them names: 1 strike - 10 day ban. 2 strikes - 30 day ban. 3 strikes - lifetime ban in the political forum.
It could be a fun and informative forum - with important issues being discussed and debated. But as soon as a topic starts, one of the liberals starts with name calling or vulgarity, and then the discussion ends up being worthless. It is really rather disappointing - and it seems as if it is a consistent behavour by the Left side of the forum - and there are times where I do think they have something positive to add, but it gets lost behind the name calling, profanity, and race baiting. It is reallly too bad.
Not sure why some people have to do the "personal attack" or race baiting. I guess that is something that Obama taught everyone to do - when he went after the financial, insurance, and any other industry that wasn't union based. It was a learned, and unfortunate, behavior.
It is nice to see that the conservative bunch has values, and for the most part, don't sink to those levels.
Have a good night!
