OOC matchups for 2006

I have a good friend with season tix to Notre Dame and I think i'm going to invite myself to the Penn State game. Early enough in the season to not freeze my ass off.

I should forward him all the stuff you say about ND fans behind his back, see if he gives you a ticket then man!

Just what a PSU/ND game needs, an OSU fan in attendance.

I guess if you show up to PSU/ND game with OSU stuff on, and people say stuff to you, its just because THEY are the obnoxious ones right? :mj07:

Why isn't the USC/ND on that list?

USC vs ND might be biggest game we have seen EVER. Both play at the end of the year and both teams might be undefeated. Winner might be going to BCS NC.

Doubt that because SC will not be undefeated going into that game...every programs needs a year to rebuild...and this is next season for SC

Looks like RB Lendale White, OL Winston Justice, and WR Steve Smith are all coming back. At least that is the rumor!

USC only loses starting TE, 1 lineman, 1 RB and QB from this years offense.

these 2 teams have played some CLASSICS, its a shame ND has been mostly down the last decade or EVERY ND/USC game the last 4 years would have been like the 05 version. If both are in the TOP 10 when they meet again, forget UNDEFEATED, expect another instant classic. No doubt about it. Only those who reject this year's as an instant classic could disagreee

ND might be undefeated going into that game, but I highly doubt USC will be. Unless they can still score 50+ pts a game w/ no Bush, no White, no Lienhart & while being led by a young QB.

Still to call it one of the biggest games ever is a little much. Maybe the biggest non-bowl game of the season, but EVER come on. Take the glasses off Scotty.

Plus everyone outside of Austin better hope VY leaves UT, cause if he comes back you can bet UT will have one of the spots in the NC game next......now if he is gone, which I think he will be, that is a whole different ballgame.

I was just giving my opinion on the 2 squads being undefeated going into the game & Scotts jumping the gun on the level of the game be the BEST EVER.

I think he is still trying to recover from his team's loss in that consolation bowl game - that he didnt even bother to attend. So cut him some slack.

And dont forget ND's big games next year are at home, where they of course cant lose. Except of course twice this year including to losing record Michigan State.

You see "your" team on the rise, so you feel the need to force your opinion about them down everyones throat, and worse, slant every discussion toward your beloved team. USC is scheduled to play Ohio St. I can't wait for the game. From time to time, especially when the recruiting season ends I LOVE visiting the Ohio St. recruiting message board and laugh my a$$ off. Those fans talk about USC and Pete Caroll all the time. I LOVE IT!

Unfortunately for OSU, they will meet USC when Pete Carroll has a solid 1st and 2nd string depth chart of only 5 and 4 star talent on BOTH sides of the ball. Pretty scary! Nobody recruits better than pete and those OSU posters know it and talk about it all the time.

IF USC and ND are undefeated when they play in late Nov. it will be hyped to no end. HUGE HUGE HUGE game. IMO both teams have decent chance to run the table.

From what i hear we had a verbal commitment from Fred Davis before Pete got him to change his mind on the night before national signing day and he stuck him at TE.

They provide me good laugh is because they spend so much time talking about USC it is crazy. Funny as heck. I can't wait for USC vs OSU. I discovered their board when USC was recruiting Ohio players and they were getting all pissed etc.

You are correct!

He does do that. It is not over until the recruit signs the dotted line! Here is current example.

USC wanted badly the #1 WR in the country Percy Harvin and USC lost out on him to Florida. :cursin: Carroll is still after him hard until he signs the LOI or until Harvin says stop talking to me. Only reason Harvin is not coming to USC is distance/Mom and Carroll knows it. Harvin has silently verballed to Carroll before so Carroll knows he wants to come to USC.

Carroll also encourages OOS kids to not go public with their verbal to avoid in state pressure.

THis is why Carroll is #1. He already has the #2 WR in the country coming to USC. But he also wants the #1 WR prospect as well. Carroll got the #1 WR prospect in the country LAST year in Turner. He NEVER gives up and is extremely motivated. Carroll has said he wants to win at least 5 National Championships and unfortunately Texas got in the way for #3! :cursin:

Last year's ND/USC game was probably next to the NC was the best game I saw last season. I know I'll have a ton of interest in the game if neither team is undefeated. Its a great rivalry game like Mich/OSU, Okie/Texas, Mich/ND, etc. these games will always be games of great interest because they play every season...you can throw out the records of both teams, each team knows each other cause they meet every season, and everyone will expect a good hard fought game...So your right next year should be in instant classic especially for ND fans because I think your going to have an undefeated ND team (which I think its very possible if they can get by Mich at home) going on the road to maybe a two or three loss SC team...Its payback time for the Irish to redeem the "push" and bearing if there are no significant injuries to the Irish they are going to beat SC and then on their way to a potential NC...All I am saying is Scott its absurd to think SC is just going to reload and compete for the NC every year...Its an obvious homer comment...Every program has a rebuilding year and this is next season for the Trojans...players need to grow within a system
