Put your money where your mouth is! Most of Irish tough games next year are at HOME, as opposed to the 4 of the first 5 games on the road like this season.

Theres a good chance we see a one loss ND squad taking on a one loss USC squad.

Me being an Ohio State fan has nothing to do with thinking that ND will have at least two losses going into USC, and then picking up at least their third loss there.

I should forward him all the stuff you say about ND fans behind his back, see if he gives you a ticket then man!

Just what a PSU/ND game needs, an OSU fan in attendance.

I guess if you show up to PSU/ND game with OSU stuff on, and people say stuff to you, its just because THEY are the obnoxious ones right? :mj07:

Good chance I will be there too. lucky its in september or I would owe you about 5 snowballs to your not so golden dome

Forward him stuff? Uhhh, ok man. Christ, we grew up together and it's no secret what I think of ND. The same stuff I post, I say to him and my other ND fan friends.

Also, if I wear OSU stuff I won't be too worried about hearing any comments, if you know what I mean. What could they say? :)

His brother in law has a huge tailgate for every game. Gets there at 5am to set up and all that. Why don't you stop by and verify that there are actually ND fans who aren't arrogant and obnoxious? Maybe you can pick up a few pointers. :scared

Just to clear things up from a comment above, Nebraska plays AT USC next year Sept. 16.

The game is in Lincoln in 2007.

I guess some people like to forget how good the recruiting classes Mack Brown has brought in for the last 4 years.

Guess this is just another area where Texas cant stand up to USC.

Oh wait......thats right Texas 41 USC 38.

All I am saying is Scott its absurd to think SC is just going to reload and compete for the NC every year...Its an obvious homer comment...Every program has a rebuilding year and this is next season for the Trojans...players need to grow within a system

Last year ws rebuilding year for offense with brand new OL, brand new WR's, brand new FB, 2nd and string TE. USC won the NC.

2 years ago USC couldn't replace Palmer and brand new QB lead USC to a NC.

THis year USC lost somethign like 5 of their top 7 tacklers to graduation/nfl and then lost theier #1 DB and #1 DT to suspension/academics and then on top of all that was decimated with injuries. USC still got to the BCS NC and lost by 3pts in ROSE BOWL to Texas.

Next year it looks like USC gets entire defense back, and "might" only lose 4 starters from this years offense. 4-star Palmer was replaced by 4-star Leinart and Leinart will be replaced with either 5-star Booty (3 years system) or 5-star Sanchez (1 year system). The tradition of excellence will continue!

Whether you believe it or not, USC was a mixed young and veteran team this season. TON of players are coming back. Not many seniors at all.

Thats the only point I wanted to expose. Any take you have on an ND game or teams is irrelevant because they could win a NC and you would find something rotten in it.

As far as you being at the game, trust me, I will have better things to do than find a 40 year old OSU fan. You'll be one of those old dudes sittin at Linebacker by halftime because you couldnt get in. I'll say hi when I drop in to buy beer after the game

Dont waste your time responding to my post either, it would just validate my point that your a lil ND punk who doesnt know jack about sports betting and doesnt even try to contribute anything of worth.

Just because I don't like ND doesn't mean that your comments about 'limited resources' and 'ND at a disadvantage' are any less absurd.

Nah, got a ways to go before I hit the big four zero.

Why wouldn't I be able to get in? Ya think I might get caught trying to jump the fence? Or maybe they'll catch me after I bumrush the gate?

I think he is still trying to recover from his team's loss in that consolation bowl game - that he didnt even bother to attend. So cut him some slack.

Your 50 year old self goes to ONE college football game, and pays 2k for a rose bowl ticket, and now you are the "legend of the grandstands?" Give me a break :mj07:

I've been to over 50 ND games in my life, about half were home games from my years there. Our season tickets used to be $99 for six games and I sat closer to the field than you get to women. Now you take a CHEAPSHOT at me for not paying $1,000 to go to a bowl game? What is your DEAL man?

Glad you could afford to go. Good for you. Why dont you dwell on that instead of sticking your head in someone's personal affairs?

Glad you could go see Texas win its 2nd national championship or whatever. Hey when it happens only every FIFTY YEARS, you BETTER not miss it!

Exactly my point again. Absurd from the POV of you, which means nothing.

ND is at a disadvantage ON THE FIELD because they dont recruit scumbags like Vick II. ND chooses integrity instead. We would rather lose our bowl games than win with a QB like VT had. That event PERFECTLY underscores my theory.

ND has higher standards than most of college football. Same with the Pac 10.

Stanford, USC, UCLA and CAL all have higher entry requirements for athletes than the NCAA min. Thats 40% of the Pac 10 conf. :scared On top of that, ND doesn't take JC players! I don't understand the reasoning behind that. They accept JC transfers for school, why not football players?

I think this gets overlooked in CFB. Media and fans don't appreciate schools that focus not just on the football product but academically as well.

Your homeritis is starting to affect your vision because your not seeing this clearly...I think SC will have at least two losses next season...and your right they get big time recruits but look what happen to Miami, OSU, OU, FSU...they all have been known for great recuiting and had down years...I mean the list goes on and on...programs have rebuilding years and having your heisman QB comeback and for go the #1 pick in the draft and opening the season #1 isn't a rebuilding year in my book...Just because the defense is coming back doesn't make them any better either...Carroll has some work do with that bunch...thats co-NC, who said you would have lost to or beat LSU...SC co-NC in 03' was a product of a flawed system

If USC can somehow survive playing opening their season on the road @arkansas, @Nebraska, @Arizona, USC will dominate 2h of season like they always do. USC doesn't play directional schools at home to start the season like SEC teams. Its just getting to the 2h of season undefeated. I think there is a legit chance USC can win their first 6 games. USC will be favored to win every game. USC vs ND at the end might decide who goes and plays for the BCS NC.

Of course I am assuming LENDALE WHITE, JUSTICE and SMITH are coming back. That is the rumor. Rumor can be false. All bets are off if White goes NFL. White wants to win the Heisman trophy next year and that is why USC sent White to ceremony with Bush. Give him a taste! White will easily rush over 2000 yards if he stays healthy.

THANK YOU! I'm TIRED of having this debate with people who dont have their facts straight. SOME private schools like Stanford, USC, BC, and ND are interested in more than a recruit's 4.0 time when they go after kids.

Theres a reason why USC has talent HEISMAN trophy winners that are interested in music as well as sports. Its called being well-rounded and multi talented..

At state schools like OSU and VT, multi talented is being able to drink and drive w/o spillng your beer. Reference: Clarett and Vick II

This is what I'm refering to when I say ND has limited resources. They are limited in the pool of athletes they can pursue. They do it to themselves to set them apart from other universities, so I'm not blaming anyone. But it is a FACT that they are at a TALENT disadvantage when playing the major programs.

Both school did the proper thing in booting the kids from the school...At least these schools give these kids a chance and attempts to mold them into responsible productive people...Sometimes there are failures...but you have to blame the person not the institution...You must have forgot about Krenzel winning the academic Heisman...Molecular Genetics was his major...please find the last ND and/or USC football player that kind of a major...give some credit where its due

I suppose those high "Pac 10 standards" were on full display when they flashed to the Trojans on the sidelines flashing gang signs at the camera up 12 points in the 4th quarter.

I knew football players with, brace yourself "double majors" .

Not saying there arent standouts in either program, but ND's SCREENING process keeps the dirtbags out from the getgo, not after they have had a chance to embarass the university.

What does it boil down to? Limited resources for the Irish. Thats why I keep saying just being in a BCS bowl one year after firing their coach was a victory in itself!
